Okay kidos, sorry it took 4 WHOLE DAYS, but we finally got our English cover of Additional Memory hammered out. I had a blast writing these lyrics in particular and getting into Ayano’s mind.

Okay kids now that a translation finally reared it’s head I was able to put together all of my thoughts and really break down Additional Memory. Let’s have some fun.

Just so we’re all on the same page, the Ayano from Additional Memory is not the Ayano from the manga 2 timeline. That Ayano never went to highschool so she wouldn’t be wearing the uniform and furthermore she never knew Shintaro who appears in the video. This is normal Ayano, route 1 or otherwise. Any and all of her negativity and changes in her disposition are not due to the backstory events of manga 2, since that is a different Ayano, but rather the standard backstory of route 1.

These 2 scenes are definitely the most confusing part of the MV. This is clearly route 1 Ayano or at the very least is not the manga’s Ayano so she should not really have ever interacted with Mary, much less in the half medusa form like she is here. Ayano’s snake is shown so this could well be the favouring eyes returning to the medusa, but even that would be pretty strange.
