Hey guys I'm going on hiatus for a week or so. I messaged the main but this is just in case it didn't go through.
Dex chuckles darkly, nodding. He writes, Iâm not sure either. I sure havenât been bothered by staff much. The only ones who seemed to care have left now. Maybe thereâs still a chance.
âI'm surprised I hadn't noticed that...â He mused aloud, looking around him. It was in fact true, the number of staff members seemed to be more scattered and barren then normal.
Oh I absolutely adore Devils End. How could anyone not?
The fact that we're on an inescapable island off the bank of New York City could be one of the many reasons.
Dex chuckles. He writes a note, balls it up and tosses it over to Derrick. Youâre not the only one. I sooo wish I hadâve taken the chance to get out.
He took a moment to analyze the note, chuckling with a small head nod, âAnd to think -- you would have been the one to have the easiest escape. I'm not sure the staff was ever concerned about you.â
Get away? *pouts* Now why would you want that?
Oh, Lane; don't tell me you actually enjoy it here.
--Damn and here I thought I could almost actually get away from this place.
Iâm pretty sure serial killers have enough time on their hands to do the research and some serious stalking. Hmm, yeah. I they probably would be nominated for some award if they were caught. âHow was that weird?
Now, now, I'll have you know from personal experience the life of a serial killer can be extremely busy. Well, of course they would; the law hates getting credit taken away from themselves.Â
Mail Time - Derrick and Daisy
This was quite the ordeal. She was surprised to have gotten the letter from one of her best friends⌠Well⌠Ex best friends really. What was he thinking though, she couldnât read this. Than again everyone probably assumed she would have tones of friends by now, that it typically how it worked with her and other weird people, and she was in a place full of them. Well this time it didnât work out that way. Wait! She did have one friend she trusted! That is what brought her to her current situation, wondering the halls calling out for Derrick. She looked incredibly stupid walking around calling out for one person but she really had no other way of finding him.
Derrick had taken to staking out in his own room, practically avoiding anyone and everyone. He'd only come out ever so often to perhaps see what everybody was up to otherwise, he'd stay locked in his room. In one particular instance his brows crinkled in confusion, upon hearing a familiar voice strike through the halls. It came closer eventually and he son identified the vocal chords as belonging to Daisy --but he had no idea why the ravenette could be looking for him at this point.Â
The male opened up his door, peering out into the hall as he saw her come closer. He couldn't help but chuckle at how the other patients looked at her, as if she had had ten heads. He jogged half way to catch up with her, walking the rest of the way as he called out, "Jeez, Daisy, I'm here, I'm here." He shook his head as he finally caught up to her, "What is it?"
Dex just shrugs, looking down at the ground nervously, almost hoping that it would swallow him whole. He gulps, his eyes never moving to meet those of Derrick.
He noticed how the other male seemed to want to vanish and slink away completely. Had Derrick been somebody else he would have probably been more sympathetic, but he couldn't help but be unnecessarily cruel at this point. "So, you do."Â
Thatâs because itâs probably not a practical thing at all. Killing other serial killers would be a lot of work if you think about it, so they probably wouldnât be as active as other killers. â Good, good. Well in that case, call me darling, daddy-o.
Of course not. They'd have to do their research and lots of it. Besides, they'd probably be nominated as some sort of vigilante and apparently nobody likes those either. -- Oh come now, don't make it weird.
Oh there is? Iâve never heard about that before.. But why would it not happen? A killer who kills serial killers actually sounds like a fantastic idea. âMaybe I am. I have been called the devils daughter in the past, so hiding my wickedness is very possible.
It just doesn't sound practical to me. A serial killer kills in some type of pattern..I'm not sure that would work out killing various actual serial killers. -- Well, I won't be sure to doubt that. Though have it know I've also been called Lucifer himself.
"You could literally beat the crap out of someone but they wouldnât remember it for a while anyways. It has itâs upâs and downs. Unless the personality is a psychotic serial rapist or something then that would be a bit of a problem."
"The chances of that type of personality actually happening though are slim to none. A violent one though..much more common."
"And they should be." She nodded, standing up straight.
"Well, have fun," he sighed, begrudgingly picking up the book, "And work on your swing."Â
"Or some person with a multiple personality disorder. I wouldnât know who the hell Iâm talking to."
"That's not too bad..at least with that you can have some type of fun," he pointed out.
"Youâre alright. â She smiled up at him.
"Just be glad I'm not some depressive dude or else you'd probably be grueling through this conversation."
She shrugged. âI am not sure. I might go wonder around aimlessly like I normally do.â
"Better watch out..I hear there are many men afraid of blind chicks like you out there," he chuckled.
"Thanks, Iâm honored you think that." She said sarcastically but humorously.
"You really should be. I'm friggen' awesome, kid," he joked lightly.
