Last year’s Christmas, we were in isolation for two weeks because of Covid in which I was feeling very unwell due to a challenging cough and on and off fever. So for that reason, we were excited for a different celebration this year hopefully with friends and family. Only to be told during our growth scan that I would need to deliver via an emergency caesarian section our baby at only 28 weeks. Plus, this all happened at a hospital which is about two hours away from the town we live. Despite our circumstances we are grateful for all the support and kindness from all the people we met from day one of this journey until now. I have talked to numerous doctors, nurses, support workers and staff that I can’t count who helped and made sure we and our little man, Max Gabriel, are well taken care of. Christmas this year is still a different one with many ups and downs but we continue to feel God’s love and presence all throughout. We know He is with us and with our Max who is still in the NICU.
