All the work of Gaudí is amazing. He was unique, though quite ahead of his time. It is a great place to go with family and spend a singular evening together. I spent quite a few hours there just escaping the city. However, if you are with someone who does not like hills then pick your transport carefully. We were on the hop off hop on bus and the drop off was at the bottom and it was very steep. For us it was worth the climb. A pro tip Book your tickets way in advance specially for the monumental zone of the park if you want your pictures with the famous salamander fountain. Absolutely worth a visit but can be appallingly crowded

The Arc de Trompf represents Catalonian achievements in industry, art and science and was built as the main entrance to the World Fair of 1888. It sits at the junction with Passeig de Sant Joan and is the gateway to a wonderful open area, where one can promenade to the coast through the Ciutadella park. This area is one of the very few open spaces in a very crowded city. Listen to and spot the Parakeets, marvel at street entertainers and skate boarders. Enjoy an ice cream nearby as Barcelona is home to lots of homemade ice cream cafes. Wander to the Catalonian Parliament building and then perhaps to a nice flamenco show as we did before ending our night.

So finally in Spain I went to see Casa Mila, the art piece of Gaudi. The first day I couldn’t enter as I had not bought the ticket earlier but managed later the third day as I was dying to see this place. I was impressed by the outside - the balconies carry on the acquatic theme and look like seaweed. You start off in the amazing attic, where you can learn all about Gaudi's life and buildings. Next ascend to the amazing roof which is full of large and small chimneys and walkways criss-crossing the vast apartment block. The famous rooftop from Dan Brown’s book “Origin”. There is a great view of Barcelona - you can see the Sagrada Famiglia cathedral a few blocks away and praise the mosaic work on them. After spending way too long on the roof, I ventured down into the open apartment known as the belly of La Pedrera as it has been designed as a whale’s ribcage. It's like a tube apartment which goes right round the apartment block, so you can walk around in the circle, visiting all the rooms before ending back where you started. It was full of art deco furniture and lots of windows. Absolutely stunning. I can definately recommend this as one of the top attractions of Barcelona. Even if you're not an architecture buff, you'll be impressed by the structure.

Antalya is a huge city and one of the main flight destinations when traveling along the turquoise coastline of Turkey. Especially the old town, named Kaleici, is a great place to hang out for a day or two. Small maze featuring beautiful architecture, like the mosque and parks with people relaxing in it. It isn’t huge but it is big enough to wander around.
