For uni, I created a work based on cultural appropriation within pop culture, particularly in the aesthetics and style of western musicians. I collaged together different examples into full figures and animated them crudely to mimic how cultures are taken without respect or understanding of their original context.

"Elemental" - Willow Beats [Unofficial Music Video]

Made for a Moving Image assignment at uni. I was inspired by old school Tamil music videos for this project - their aesthetic and kitschiness, along with unavoidable nostalgia, were things that I were really attracted to. So this video is meant to be an experimental homage to that, whilst also trying to find my own style. I picked this song because the harmonies and the rhythm remind me of Tamil music. Plus it's a great song anyway. It's my first proper solo video project, and I look forward to making lots more. ^_^

Experimented with mirrors again, this time with some water.  Also I like oversaturating things. It's a problem. I go to a support group for it but I can't stop.
