I saw this when running newpipe. But wait, it gets deeper. I clicked on the details buttons and it said as of today, we have 83 days left until Google rolls out this new requirement for apps inside and outside of the google play store. If any developer disagrees with their new terms and fees, they will be blocked!

I'll share some of the info below:

Looks like they're trying to nuke the remaining privacy and freedoms we have left on the internet.

What to do?

-Get your developer friends to not comply to their new guides

- Sign the open letter on the site and take action by checking out the full resources list on their website as well!

To summarize, this is all daunting especially when you feel all alone with unfair and inhumane regulations comming out faster than improvements but we got this working together!

Share the link with your friends, family and anyone who will listen!

Going to add this because it's tangentially related.

I have a Galaxy S20 that I bought jailbroken from Amazon so I could go to any phone network I wanted.

Samsung Messages will not be supported anymore as of July 6, 2026.

They specifically make you download Google Messages through the play story and link it to your Google account. You HAVE to set it as your default messenger app if you want to keep the history and be able to text people the same way as before.

(I had to crop this image so my Google profile wouldn't be seen.) Here's the kicker. You also have to give permissions for them to access the following on your phone:

Camera

Contacts

Files

Microphone

Phone

SMS

As in, your Google profile may now have data about your calls, texts, what pictures or download or audio files and media etc that is on your phone, and record things through your microphone.

None of this feels safe. It's very invasive. I'm getting everything off my phone first, because now I can't use Samsung Messages AT ALL. I can read past messages, but it will not allow me to send messages.

I could potentially download Whatsapp or something else, but again, it requires permissions from Google.

I primarily use discord to keep up with everyone important in my life, and there's no guarantee I'll still have access to that.

Hi there! It's been a while, a lot has happened. A lot has changed too. I've grown a lot since I last posted here.

I graduated college. I went through job searching and have an internship. I broke up with my ex. You know, a lot of things. During the period of 3 years I've also grown so much! I feel like looking back to my beloved personifications and redesigned them based on the events that happened during this new adulting phase in my life.

Here is Ne! This is a WIP and i will polish it more, but here's the idea for Ne that I have in my head. I'm open for any feedback or questions! :]
