i have a suggestion
Oh my God, what happened to him? He was going to buy some sweets. He was so excited because he hadn't tasted them in months. I saw him going, his face beaming with joy. He couldn't believe it. On his way, the killers of children and women bombed a house near him. His joy and smile were stolen. He suffered several head injuries, resulting in a concussion. He is now in intensive care and will undergo surgery; it's a matter of life or death.
What did this innocent child do to deserve this? What did his smile do to deserve being stolen by child killers? This is genocide. They don't care about children, women, or the elderly. They have no conscience, no humanity. Youssef suffered multiple fractures in his limbs and now needs your support. He is an orphan; his father was killed at the beginning of the war, and he has no one but his mother. I implore you to provide quick and urgent support for Youssef's recovery. Please, Youssef needs $900. Please donate anything, even $5, $10, or $20. It could save the life of an orphaned child. Please don't hesitate to help him. It's a matter of life or death. Please donate. 💔😭😭

Please don't hesitate to help; it's saving a life. Please, you could be the reason for bringing a smile back to his face. He has no one to support him in this life. Please donate; we still need $885. Please donate anything you can. 🙏🙏😭
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and contributed! We still need $860. We urge you to support us and contribute so we can reach our goal as quickly as possible. Donate now! This child's life is in danger! Donate now! 🥺🙏🙏
Please don't leave him alone. Help this innocent child and don't hesitate to help him. Please bring back his smile. Time is running out. Please donate as soon as possible. Please, only $835 remains. Every minute that passes is difficult for his mother. Please, her heart aches for her son. Please help him. Please. 🙏😭😭
Please donate! Why the delay? The child's life is in danger, and we haven't even raised half the required amount. He's on life support. Please help us! If the power goes out, the child will die. Save this innocent child's life! We need $785. Please don't delay; it's a matter of life or death. Please donate! 💔😭😭
Please, we desperately need your help. Please, time is running out. Help us save the life of an innocent, vulnerable child who has no one to support him. Please don't let us down. This war is so cruel, and he is a weak child. Please donate whatever you can. I'm writing to you while crying. Every day I see him, my heart aches for him. Please, we still need $735. Please, you can help. Donate, donate! 😭😭🙏
interesting how when medical providers or caregivers abuse disabled people, everyone falls over themselves to make excuses for how they're just so tired and overworked and stressed they can't NOT abuse you.
and yet no grace is given to our exhaustion, our pain, our anger. anything other than perfect smiling compliance and simpering gratitude can be punished. if you do things they don't approve of, they may retaliate, or drop you entirely, and write things in your notes that will guarantee future mistreatment.
if you can't imagine how difficult it is to rely on people for basic survival, especially underpaid strangers who don't give a fuck about you, lucky you. if you've never had to appease anyone or choke back justified hurt and anger so as not to be left to rot, lucky you. it takes enormous social energy, which not everyone has. disabled people's survival shouldn't be a popularity contest.
how come only the person who has all the power and the choice to leave if they want, gets to have a hard day?
remaking bc the other died badly. pls pls help out a currently struggling disabled lesbian couple. we do not have a stable source of income atm; my wife was fired for being transgender & we apply to jobs daily to no avail. we need $ for food + meds. ty in advance & pls dont tag as anything.

I learned in my political science class that all major famines in the 20th century and onward have been caused by oppressive groups or political situations restricting access to food, NOT natural causes like crop failure
This is literally the point that Indian economist Amartya Sen made that won him the Nobel prize in economics. As a child, he survived one of the several Bengal famines that were organised by the British colonisers in India. He developed his theory on famines, which is that they were more about distribution of food rather than production or availability of it
I think it’s interesting we don’t call the Dust Bowl a famine. That is probably down to the whole American exceptionalism thing. We’re not allowed to talk about how this country uses hunger as a cudgel to beat us.

My mom is still alive because her treatment hasn't stopped... and I can't let that change.
My mom is in the ICU with severe heart disease. She depends on continuous treatment and medication to stay alive, and the cost of her care is $600 every week—about $2,400 every month. It is far more than our family can afford.
I'm begging you, please don't scroll past this. If you can donate, please do. If you can't, please reblog and share this post. Your share could reach the person who gives my mom another chance to live.
Every donation and every share gives her another chance to keep fighting.

Stability for Elaf and her family
In the heart of Sudan, my family's world was torn apart by fear, violence, and… Tull Osman needs your support for Escaping Hell: A Family's
Earlier this year, Elaf's aunt passed away after being hospitalized with a brain stem hematoma. Her time in the ICU has left Elaf's family with $4,000 in medical debt.
Elaf would like to use some of the funds raised through her family's campaign to help kickstart a small business so her family can earn money to help pay off the debt, instead of having to rely solely on aid.
Unfortunately, very few funds are left over after her family pays for their necessary expenses. If we could help get donations coming in more frequently, Elaf would be able to save for her family's business much faster.
If they are able to start their business, it would not only help with their medical debt, but also with finalizing their legal status in Egypt. The aggressive crackdowns against refugees taking place in the country have put them at risk of being deported. Many Sudanese people have already been forced to return to Sudan, including Elaf's brother.
Elaf and her family need our help. Please donate to them so they can create some financial stability to help with these urgent expenses.
Elaf is vetted #165 in the spreadsheet created @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi, and is also listed on sudanfunds.com
okay i normally wouldnt reblog this but for some reason theres another version of this image??
