"No matter how many times you ask to help"
"It will still not be rice season."
Dragon of the West. — “It’s more of a demonstration, really.”
It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place it become rigid and stale.
This show is so much more than Nickelodeon can handle
"Welcome to the 1k club." (Iroh's not allowed)
ॐ► ”Does this mean it’s just you and me then?”
"I have a list of things we need."
Chairs x2
A table shaped like a cloud that’s on fire.
Two teacups
One tea pot… (or two if you get picky)
Almond cookies
Egg Custard
Burn ointment
And a Bison dressed like Iroh.
"I’m already part of a club."
I think this pretty much sums up the adventures of those two
Yep that’s it that’s their entire relationship in one screencap.
Perfect.
Be the person Uncle Iroh knows you can be
now we know why there won’t be a lok panel at sdcc anymore
I bet Korra feels the same.
The New
"Enough of your proverbs, Iroh. Wings and turtleducks have nothing to do with the situation." Perhaps Ozai was actually asking for help on how to be a Fire Lord. He was never crown prince after all.
"Tell me what I can do."
Iroh stared at him a moment or two, setting down his tea cup this time. And then, very slowly, his lips began to curl into the first smile in months. Perhaps he had somewhere to fly after all.
"Are you asking what you can do for me?" he inquired, a hint of amusement in his voice now. "Or are you asking me what you can do for your country?"
The New
Ozai frowned. From what he could remember, Iroh was always happy and upbeat. This ordeal must have weighed heavy on him.
"I’m sorry." He said as he sipped his tea. "Is there anything I can do?"
He wouldn’t give him the throne but if there was anything that would help his shrinking family mend itself, he seemed all for it. Only because it would make things easier for him.
Iroh took another sip of his tea, appearing to think over the offer before shaking his head again.
"The turtleduck's down will not return once it grow feathers" he replied solemnly. "Nor...nor should it, I suppose. One ought to take flight when given wings...even if it is unclear where to fly."
"I’ve won like once…"
“Besides, the only way i’ll get any good at Pai Sho is if I become a stuffy old man like you.”
"Ahahahahahahaha!"
"Then I fear you I will not live to see you beat me again."
The New
Ozai looked up from his tea cup at his brother with a raised eyebrow. Miss him? Why would Ozai miss him? All his father has ever done was belittle and punish him for no reason.
"It was tragic", he noted before taking another sip. "Father seemed uncertain that you would return so he appointed me as Fire Lord." Ozai pushed the plate of almond cookies to Iroh in an attempt to lift his spirits.
"I’m… sorry about your son."
"Did he? How strange, I made a point to send word to the palace about my whereabouts. But I suppose...I did not give a return date."
He sighed, glancing at the cookies but not making any move to try one, instead just sipping his tea again. When offered condolences for the loss of his sone, Iroh simply shook his head.
"It was not only my son that died..." he replied softly before taking another few sips. he let that enigmatic phrase hang in the air, looking to Ozai for the next comment.
There was still no hint of a smile.
"You can’t tell me how to live my life."
"Life is like a game of Pai Sho..."
"If you choose not to listen to my advice, you are probably going to lose."
The New
The newly appointed Fire Lord Ozai was sitting in his tea room, still mulling over what he had done when he heard an unfamiliar, yet familiar voice in the doorway. He looked up and saw his older brother. The one he stole the throne from. It looks like he finally returned…
Ozai poured Iroh a cup of tea and beckoned for him to sit. “Please. Sit.”
Iroh sat down near his brother, nodded his thanks for the tea, and took a small sip from his cup. He then looked back up at Ozai, expression very serious, and after another short pause, finally spoke.
"It seems much has happened in my absence" he observed quietly. "Forgive me for not attending our father's funeral, I did not get the news in time. You must miss him dearly."
There was not an ounce of overt sarcasm in his voice, but both brothers knew the chance of this was slim to none. Neither of the sons were terribly fond of their father, but Ozai definitely seemed to like him least, and not without reason.
