Small story I want to share, but growing up reading the BSC my favorite character was Dawn and I thought she sounded so beautiful with her blue eyes and blonde hair. Im Mexican American and growing up i thought the only way I would be considered beautiful was if I had blonde hair and blue eyes like her. I had some image issues for most of my childhood thinking I was less than because of my Latin features. Luckily I grew out of that. Then at 30 years old the Netflix series is released and low and behold Dawn herself is Latina. All the old thoughts and memories started resurfacing and well I knew better now. Dawn was still beautiful and I've always been beautiful too!
