As far as people crushing on serial killers, there's actually some study of it as a phenomenon in psychology. Adrenaline/danger is a real turn on for some people. It's actually pretty common. Crushing on serial killers also tends to happen in women who always felt overlooked and need to feel they are special. ("this person kills people but if he Cared About Me, that would make me super special.") Of course, this is a case where fantasy and reality should not cross.
