I first noted that I had difficulty with water after going outside in the rain to retrieve something for someone. I reported things like burning, fizzing, sizzling, and so on. It was pretty clear from the get go that water and I were not a good mix, but thanks to a small test that Kiyo and I did, we discovered that it wasn't just water that can harm me, but salt, too.
It's why I'm so confused as to why people kept asking the question of, "What would happen?" They already knew what would have happened, I had told and shown them by that point! Maybe they just... hadn't overheard those conversations or been told about the results of the test, but even so, why not just ask me to explain it? Why did they need a demonstration so desperately that they started asking my friends to do their dirty work for them?
But more importantly, why didn't you stop to question why they were begging you to do this, why they were willing to practically bribe you to do it? Maybe, you just assumed that splashing me with water would be like splashing anyone with water, just... annoying, but maybe a little funny under the right circumstances.
But for a moment, just for a single moment, did it cross your mind that these weren't normal circumstances? I mean, for those who can see and hear me, I don't think that being a ghost is subtle thing that's easy to miss! Why didn't you second guess things, even once?
If someone random had thrown water on me, it would have hurt less than if you had. Because we know each other. We were friends. And I'd never expect you to do something like this. Maybe Kokichi would, but even his pranks are usually harmless. Then again, one of them did ask about this as well... it doesn't matter. This is about me and you.
I had to take some time to think about what happened and to decide whether or not I would accept your apology. I... I think it was sincere, but... I'm not sure if it's enough. So... that's why you and I are going to go on a little quest, okay? Let your actions speak louder than words and help me with something. I was going to ask Shuichi to help me with this, but... there's no reason why you can't, either.
I need to go to the stage in the gym, because in the past, in my past, something happened there. Now, there probably won't be anything to find, but... I don't want to go alone. So, you come with me, a-and... if I start having traumatic flashbacks or anything, you can... I don't know, slap me, or something.
