You ran after Mr. Toudou cause he’s your daddy so no talking *stick out tongue*
That's not the same as wishy-washy, nice try though.
sirknightduke replied to your post:The W-Word is wishy-washy which is what a certain...
There’s nothing wrong with a little wishing.
I missed were the wishing was involved
The W-Word is wishy-washy which is what a certain team is
-sniffles into the plating, clings more- I missed you Deckerd. where have you been?
I don’t know.
That was the issue - he didn’t know. Memories weren’t even fuzzy. Just shards and flashes of something that were so distant they scared him. Because he didn’t know what was expecting him if he ever grasped them. That his own memories would ever make him feel like that - afraid and not knowing if he wanted to learn - his heart ached in loss.
-clings all the tighter sniffling some more. he likes that Deckerd can hold onto him like this, it feels so protective, happy.-
that’s okay. we can go home now, right? and maybe it’ll come back to you
You… you think so?
Alright, birdbrain suit yourself. Not really sure what you can pick up from here, but I won't stop you. /He shrugs and waves a hand off at Kagerou. Whatever, he can stick around looking at the pavement all he wants. Now that he looks at it, Deckerd's way too tiny now. Well, not as tiny as he was before but still. A guy can't get a break can he? Or some weird expression like that. He looks over in Deckerd's direction at the sound of his name./
Hey, that's my full name, no need to be formal here. It'd be awkward if I went around calling the bird BP-00X or whatever. /Maybe Deckerd did forget a bunch of stuff. He seemed more lost that the Boss' kitten was when he was at his house-- Scratch that thought./ Don't start getting sentimental on me with that partner stuff. We crossed that bridge awhile ago.
/Spoke too soon. There's the Boss finally getting out of his bike (he's surprisingly slow for a kid y'know) and running towards what is assumed to be Deckerd. He's happy for the kid, even happy himself that Deckerd's fine... so to speak. He wouldn't show it, but he definitely was worried about him. After all, who'd be there to pull his trigger? ...scratching that too. The Boss' waterworks might be wearing off on him more than he thought. He can think about that later though./
I hate to break up the party, but we should be heading back. If you wanted go home earlier, you could've called a cab. I'm pretty sure the old man wants you guys back at HQ. If you want a ride back I suggest hopping back in unless you feel like walking.
Yuuta is safe?
That drew his attention back to Kagerou. It should have been enough. Somehow, illogical as it was, he trusted him to be honest, although he had nothing at hand to prove his claim. And it was enough for his worry about the child, tension slightly crumbling.
Can I see him? I need to know he’s alright.
Another noise when he relaxed, hydraulics hissed. The relief withered when he inspected his hands again.
If he had been in a different situation, he would have maybe mused about the nostalgia of it, seeing his body like this. He had grown up like that partly after he met Yuuta, while the engineers attached more and more pieces to him until his final upgrade.
Instead, all the delicate machinery and sustaining features - hydraulics, actuators, joints - that made his hands mobile laid bare. The sensor arrays laid bare, yet he didn’t feel anything from them. A glance down his body, past his half-open rib-cage with motor, array of tubes and cables, wires and supporting structures revealed just open he was.
How vulnerable.
And he didn’t remember how it happened. He didn’t remember how his mind and soul were transferred into this human-sized body or why most of his sensors had been turned off.
W-weeks? Months? he repeated Kagerou’s previous statement with a croak, words smoother now, but also audibly agitated. He tried to wrap his mind around what the other was implying. How it connected to what he did remember - and what not.
He flinched when the robot addressed him again and glanced up the taller mech towering over him by several meters. Despite his words, the other could pick him up with just one hand and fly away with him. He was massive compared to him, after all.
Fully armored.
With weapons.
And so much faster than him.
Suddenly, he wished to wrap his arms around his torso and run to hide from Kagerou’s optics.
Gunmax is bringing him. They should both arrive momentarily, and when they do they’ll tow you back. … I’ll remain on site for investigations.
-its honestly a lot more like “if I pick you up will you fall apart, better just wait for gunbike to arrive.” He can at least sit in the sidecar then. Kagerou shifts awkwardly before kneeling, fanning one of his wings over the other figure to keep him from the sun.-
Don’t know how cool your systems are. But if boss is coming, won’t be too great to embrace burning hot metal. He’s been very worried about you.
/Kagerou finally manages to be of some use to him, at least when he's almost there already. He was almost wondering if he should've gone straight there from HQ without picking up the Boss. Ah well, there wasn't any use crying about it now. He couldn't even cry in the first place. He tilts his head a little at Kagerou's reply, but he's loaded with his usually replies./ Hey, I'd be here sooner if I didn't have the Boss to pick up. You wanna whine about it to me, do it yourself next time. If you want sniffing, ask the pooch. We're almost there anyway so keep your wings on.
/He'll just leave the minor injuries bit out of his response. The Boss is already worked up over Deckerd and he doesn't want to make it worse. It's more of a pain. There's an audible engine revv from Gunbike as he cuts a few corners. The trip went by at least a little faster with the Boss around. Maybe that was just him though. Keeping track would be boring. As expected, he pulled out into the street where Kagerou's location was, already seeing the bird and some... thing in front of him. If he had to guess, it'd probably be the boyscout./
/With a twist of his wrists, he swerves Gunbike into the street before expertly sliding her sideways and pulling a stop just a few feet away from 'Deckerd'. At least he hoped that was Deckerd. He sets down one of his legs to steady his bike before shooting Kagerou a grin./ Yo, I made it to the party. Since your appearance didn't scare anyone off yet I'd say that's a win for you Kagerou, baby. /He tilted his head at the other robot. Parts were missing, but there weren't any signs of a fight. Nonetheless, it was kinda creepy. He tried not to focus on examining anything just yet./ You could probably get some work done, you're a little... pale. /Nice choice of words./
-whines loudly- come onnnnn it totally is—
-wriggles in his belt and whines and kicks he learned this from power joe-
/This is why he didn’t want to be the delivery boy./ It totally isn’t. We’re not playing around y’know. /Guh, he might as well do something./ FINE, I’ll go a little faster but don’t complain if your face starts to hurt. /He revvs Gunbike’s engine and somewhat goes faster. At least enough to make a difference, he was already going pretty fast for highway standards. At least the sirens made people get out of your way/
yes it is!!!
-finally getting what he wants„ he cheers- Yeah! perfect!!! let’s go let’s go!!
/There's a long groan from him. When they actually find Deckerd he's passing off the Boss to him./ Yeah, yeah, roger.
Hey that’s a completely different thing and doesn’t count …no. /He’d get his ass kicked if something happened to the boss while he was there—/
does too. ….. pleaaaaaaaaase Gunmax, this is an emergency—
does not It’s not that big of an emergency he’s not on fire—

….. ssooooooooooooo…. are you gonna go top speed? you said the soda would kill me so far it hasn’t -he fidgets anxiously-

does not It's not that big of an emergency he's not on fire--
So are you gonna gotop speed?? -grins-
Ah! I can’t wait to see him!!! I hope he’s okay!!!!!!!
If I went top speed, I’d melt your face off. /Well probably not, but close enough./
Me too, kid. /Gunmax did have some sort of bad feeling. Deckerd hadn’t even confronted them directly. Then again he was found in a pile of metal once before. Still, it was Deckerd actually talking to them, even if it sounded weird./

/He checks his internal systems. As far as he can tell Kagerou’s signal is quite a distance. Why did the Commissioner have to build a house so far away from the city? Argh, what a pain./ It’ll take awhile before we get there, even if I’m going top speed. They’re not exactly in an easy spot to get to from here. Good grief.
/He laughs/ He’d better be, he’s my partner after all. Ah- /Right, he was going to call McCrane once he had Yuuta. Maybe it’d be better if he called the bird. He taps his internal systems and brings up his brave police badge’s signal/ Yo Kagerou, baby, I’ve got the Boss in tow and it’ll take a bit before we get there, don’t have too much fun.

but he’s talking weird. -he straps on a helmet and buckles up as they speed off.- Saejima had to go to a conference or something today, I didn’t know when he’d be back—
-goes quiet for a bit- … do you think he wants to see me D: ?
Yeah, but how would you feel if you got a house crashed on top of you— /Or something like that. He was tiny last time he saw Deckerd last, but he hadn’t asked McCrane or Kagerou anything yet about appearances./ Figures. We’ll call him if we really need help, I can’t see why we would.
/Oh. Not now kid not- damn it./ … /There’s a big sigh/ Listen, kid, I can’t think of a single reason why Deckerd would be mad at you. Stop spewing nonsense.
I guess that would be pretty awful. Still… How far away are we?
….- seems legit to him. he kicks his legs and smiles- Okay! Well I guess he’ll be happy to see you too!!!

/vrrom vroom there’s the sirens blazing and Gunbike’s engine revving. Once Yuuta jumps in, he’s off once again/ I have no idea, McCrane just told me Kagerou found him. I’m sure he’s fine, hes a resilient guy.

your bike would dump you any way when was the last time you waxed her
Fine, fine, I’ll stop. I’m just saying things could be a lot worse if you didn’t propose. Wouldn’t that be enough initiative?
Hey you don’t know Gunbike so lay off I’ve… been busy
thank you.
-pauses suddenly, listening to the radio.- …. Deckerd’s been found. Kagerou is on site, I think the others are approaching.
Why don’t you pick up the boss? I’ll head to repair bay and alert them, then head out.
/Honestly, he hadn't really been paying attention to that. He assumed everyone already knew about Deckerd being found. Then again, he had only talked over their radio systems and hadn't seen Deckerd in person. Plus no one had been super excited about 'Deckerd's return' or whatever. There was that annoying ping too. Well, guess he'll be roped into some sort of welcoming party./
Dang, who let bird brain have all the fun? I should be giving my partner what for. /frowns/ Hey, I'm no delivery boy. I guess I have no choice since you're probably as fast as Dumpson. /shrugs/
Alright, I'll call when I've got the kid in hand. Seeya. /He gives a two fingered salute before he's off./
ah— stop it jeez—
i don’t talk to you about your bike that way
What? I don’t see what your problem is.
Because I’m not marrying my bike and looking at wedding magazines.
talking about my girlfriend dumping me or being eaten is hardly supportive, do you need to?

iruvubaybee started following you
I’m Dekkado. It’s nice to meet you.
Yo, boyscout, nice of you to finally show up. I haven’t forgotten about you, I know your name.
My name is not boyscout. I am Dekkado, model BP 110-.
(A video file opened in his processor.
"See you boyscout." A green robot on a white biked waved at him, with a cocky smile.
He didn’t know what ‘cocky’ meant, but it fit the other.)
/Oh. Well that's weird./ Uh, yeah. I just said I knew that. Did you check in with the kid, yet? I think he's probably the most worried about you.
Never pegged you for the guy to watch those sort of things. Well, I guess I could since Power Joe and Drill boy watch a lot of TV. /shrugs/
Aw, c’mon baby, I mean there could be ten times worse things than that. Like, say, she gets eaten by a giant dinosaur or something.

I dont know what you read but for all I know it’s in one of your american movies.
………………I— -horrified look-
you’re terrible, do you know that—
Since when do you watch american movies? Also how would you know what I watch anyway—
What? I thought it was reassuring.
sometimes. -shrugs- lucky guess.
no, that’s really not reassuring at all. to anyone.
ever.
