option 1: they're stolen pics. this feeds my sincaraz narratives because I could connect carlos being with this girl to jannik in many different ways — he's trying to get over him, he's repressing his feelings for him, etc. it doesn't change the fact that jannik is the love of his life

option 2: they're staged pics. the paparazzi were called, this was planned. a PR stunt. extremely common. but why?... as you can imagine, this can be connected to sincaraz delusions in many ways — carlos' team arranged it to dispel gay rumours, or as damage control for something they're worried might leak in the future, etc

all of this to say — there's nothing about this situation that undermines sincaraz from a shipping perspective in any way. this is just their story evolving in new ways, and we get new puzzle pieces to play with in our imagined scenarios. we can keep having fun playing with our dolls as usual lmao!

unorganized first thoughts: nothingburger article. very vague, keeps talking about how they were very lovey-dovey and relaxed and happy. there are no intimate photos of them, not even a kiss. they also highlight carlos' discreet love life and that he's never been seen with a girl like this before. they haven't included any clear images of her face either, which we can assume is on purpose since they were being photographed for a long time (judging by the wardrobe changes) and I'm certain they had plenty of material. and yeah. the article says the trip lasted a week, and started out with two couples and carlos, and that the blonde girl (that's how they refer to her) joined them on the third day. it gives a somewhat vague rundown of where they went. the last page is just about the yacht and it feels like an ad. lmao. anyway, I get the feeling that this was probably organized by IMG (carlos' agency) and sunreef (the yacht company). and well, I prefer that to the possibility of these being genuine stolen photos and all of this having been outside alcaraz's team's control, which would suck. who's that girl and what relationship does she have with carlos? we don't know! regardless of whether this coverage was somewhat "orchestrated" or not, I hope he genuinely had a good time with her and enjoyed the trip !
