Media experimentation - nail polish
Media experimentation - skin tone
Media experimentation - grey
Here I experimented with the colour gray for my practice media pieces. I love how classy and elegant the colour gray feels. I worked with different tones of gray here with darker and walmer tones. I do however prefer the walmer tone for my collection.
Media experimentation - purple
Here I experimented with the colour purple I really loved using this colour on my designs. Here are only messy practice media pieces however I do love how the overall colour fits with my collection.
Media experimentation - red
Here is my my media experimentation with the colour red. This is the colour I definitely wanted to include in my collection as I used it in allot of my marketing work for the collection. I love how bold and powerful red is and knew it would perfectly fit my designs and the collection.
Here are a few of my original drafts

For my next theme I knew I couldn't do the 1920s without doing art deco as this is Iconic to the era. I looked at the general architecture and patterns and prints. I loved the patterns and thought the use of metals in the architecture would work perfectly with one of my key trends being metallic that I wanted to incorporate in my collection.

For my second theme I wanted to look at 1920s interior but one specific thing that caught my eye was particularly sofas. I liked the velvet and floral prints and thought this would be the perfect inspiration for my collection.

I decided to choose glassware as my first theme as when thinking about the 1920s the first thing that came to mind was always jazz clubs, gloves, peals and Martinis. So I took this classy Martini idea and looked at glassware as a whole. My main focus being glasses and vases.
Here is my final face illustration. I do like the finished outcome of this piece however I wish it was neater and had more shading detail on the eyes. I used inspiration from illustrators Hayden Williams and Robert Best. I took inspiration from Robert Bests watercolour washed out, feminine style. Then Hayden Williams bratz like style of big lips and defined cheek bones. I do however wish presentation of this work was neater but I do like the colour pallet used in theese pieces. I also really wish I had managed time better to finish notes on these pages in my actual illustration sketch book.
For this face illustration I used marker pens, coloured pencils and a fine liner. I am quite happy with this illustration even though it is not my usual style at all, I really wanted to experiment with theese face illustrations. I used the work of Jamie Lee Reardin and Hayden Williams for this piece. I used Reardins strange allian like style for the neck and large eye style for my work. And the work of Williams bratz style of big lips and defined cheek bones for my illustration. Even though this style is something I would never pick out I do really like the uniqueness and look of this finished work. I also feel the figure illustration matches and fits the face perfectly. However I wish I had managed to finish notes on these pages.
Here is my fourth face illustration. I used water colour and a thick marker pen. I used the work of Jessica Bird and Angelica Rosalyn for this piece. I used Angelicas use of colour and the lip shape. Then the work of Jessica Bird as inspiration for the hair and messy style of this piece. This is my least favourite face illustration as this messy style is not particularly my favourite. I also do not really like the figure illustration this probably because of my dislike of the face because of the face illustration.
This is by far my favourite face illustration. I adore how these pages and this work turned out. I also loved the creative process and illustrating not only this style of face but the background and presentation of the pages. I think the messy gingham background, kiss marks and Vogue background make this piece and this illustration fun and eye catching. I also love the colour pallet used. I took inspiration from illustrators Angelica Rosalyn and the vivid Vivi. I found illustrator the vivid Vivi from Instagram and loved her style. I used her style of face and nose as inspiration for my work. I then used Angelica Rosalyns style of eye lash detail and colour pallet for this piece. This is definitely my face face illustration and I wouldn't change a thing.
