Last Line Tag Game

@laufire-writes tagged me to share the last line I wrote and oh god school isn't being kind and I don't remember what my actual last project was so here have a tidbit of my latest original fiction (yes I know it's longer than a line but I really like this exchange). Brownie points for whoever can guess the story I'm retelling. Without looking in organizational tags!

Confusion swept over Carrie until realization hit her like a brick wall. She was being propositioned. Oops. “Uh, I’m actually looking for a hotel. Do you know where the Four Seasons is?”

The woman threw her head back and laughed, only the column of her throat visible through the gap in the window. “You’re a long way from home, honey.”

Carrie huffed. No shit. “Can you give me directions or not?”

“It’ll cost ya.”

“How much?”

“Thirty bucks.”

“Thirty dollars for directions?” They better be some damn good directions.

“I mean, I could make it forty, but you’re cute.”

Han pushed himself up on his elbow, propping his head in his hand. There are just over 24 hours left until the deadline to post your works. If you have any questions about the posting process, feel free to contact me. If you need an extension, that's fine too, just let me know ASAP.

If you do not contact me for an extension and do not post a work, you will be defaulted and possibly banned from the next round of this exchange.

If you need to drop out of the exchange for any reason and default before the deadline, there will be no penalty. But please default ASAP so I can get a pinch hitter. To default, either email me at [email protected] or do so on AO3.

This exchange is dedicated the Mass Effect trilogy of games, where participants create fic or art as a gift and receive something in return! At this time, the exchange is only for the original trilogy of games and not ME: Andromeda. Nominations and sign-ups are now open!

Fanart min is a clean lineart drawing, either digital or physical, on unlined paper and of a good resolution. You may not use other elements from other pieces and manips are not allowed

Happy Birthday @laufire!! Thank you for being my friend and someone I can always rant to about fandom shenanigans. Since you were the one that pushed led me down the Poeleia rabbithole, a 5+1 fic inspired by our conversations and HCs—five times Poe wanted to do more for his general and one time he was allowed to.
