I guess I really oughta start watching more movies if I wanna know who people like Hassie Harrison are, right? Grateful you threw in Jennifer Lawrence so I didn’t feel entirely like a martian, though I sorta do every waking day of me life anyway. there’s this really cool thing we have now called google.com where you can search people so you can pretend you know who they are without sitting through movies you don’t actually wanna watch lol nah, hassie is a friend of mine actually. she’s on a show called ‘yellowstone’ and I’m on ‘1883′ and my show is the prequel to her show. so I guess I have an unfair advantage, we genuinely look like sister so just think me but...older and cooler. you mentioned the tings tings and I’ve been listening to ‘do it again’ for days. what a bass line.

“ ahh, you’ll find i won’t be able to, tink. might just apologize ten more times before i take my shoes off. ” a playful look is tossed in her direction before he toes his shoes free; moving after her towards the kitchen quickly. he tries to stop it but his eyes find her ass and remain there the entire time her back is to him. he can’t help it when it looks so goddamn perfect in her boyshorts. and a part of him thinks she knows that and it brings a soft smile to his lips before he can stop it. 

he moves over to her quickly and reaches out to take his wallet; holding it up with a nod of his head before pocketing it quickly. “ thank you. ” he leans his hip against the side of the counter and a soft sigh escapes before he can stop it; hand lifting this time to rub tiredly at his features. “ everything is a mess. and it’s my fault. i’ve done a lot of stupid things in my life, you know ? but they’re kind of starting to pile up lately. ”

head tipping to the side, she feels the weight of his words rest heavy on her own chest. they barely know each other, the number of times they’ve shared a night together countable on one hand. still, she hates the thought of him worn down so weary. she tries to remind herself, he’s a grown man. if he’s in some shit, it’s ‘cause he’s right where he wants to be. 

but it doesn’t stop her arms from wanting to pull the world off his shoulders for a little while. stepping closer, Bel brushed a hand up his chest to squeeze his arm. then up a bit further, enough to comb the messy blonde bangs out of his eyes. 

“you wanna leave it all at my door for a bit, baby? we can just... order some pizza. light one up. forget everyone else exists, hmm?” she’s not stupid. he has megan at home and a daughter apparently too. but she likes being his soul asylum. the dark he hides in, even if just for a little while.
