Hello! How are you? You haven't been active recently, and this is by no means a complaint of any sort, just a genuine check-in to see what's up with you. <3

I am alive and well!

Having fallen SO FAR behind with SPN and not wanting to be spoilered and ALL my tumblr dash being SPN related, and me with a novel to work on and a new job and shit, I decided to just retire from Tumblring (except my affirmation blog) until I can binge all of S13 in one go.

(Note: TELL ME NOTHING - I know literally nothing about it, and that’s how I like it)

But I’ve got a job two days a week, and another two days I’m interning, and getting course credit for it (suckers! I’d do this shit for nothing! It’s so fun!) It’s very exhausting, though.

Hello friend!Sorry I haven't been around much! What happened was that I didn't realise the first episode of SPN S13 was happening. I didn't want to get spoilered, so I didn't look at Tumblr. I decided to wait until I've seen it.I still haven't seen it, and I keep promising myself to get all the eps so far and binge them but I haven't. I still don't wanna get spoiled, so sooner or later I've gotta do it!I'm distracted by my new job! I work two days a week now and it's really great (although sitting at a desk is bad for my back and I can barely move at the end of the day!). I just love feeling useful and like I'm contributing to the world!Promise I'll watch those episodes and come back soon!

i need an app to track what i eat, like not meals necessarily but the binges. like when i binge and how much and what i’m feeling and if something triggers it

It is a terrible time to be queer in this country. Maybe y’all know that Australia is having a postal vote on marriage equality. This isn’t necessary. The parliament has the power to change the law themselves.

In fact, they did.

In 2004, the parliament passed a law changing the Marriage Act to specifically exclude us. It defines marriage as between a man and a woman. Only 13 years ago they changed it, without any need for public consultation.

If a marriage equality bill was put to parliament today, with all members free to vote their conscience, not along party lines, it would pass.

Polling has been done. Australia is 75% in favour of marriage equality.

The government tried to put it to public vote, but the opposition parties wouldn’t allow it, on the basis that it would be an expensive process that was not binding on parliament, and that it would mean anti-equality campaigners would be given a platform to denigrate and abuse queer people in the public forum.

The other parties demanded a free vote in parliament.

Members of the Government demanded a free vote in parliament.

But nope.

Instead of a regular vote-in-person plebiscite, we get a “Postal Plebiscite” - a non-binding vote, not subject to electoral law, that deliberately disenfranchises young people, people without a fixed postal address and Indigenous Australians - and loads of others.

Oh! And guess what - if the result is a “No” to ME, the Government will consider the matter resolved and no bill will be put to parliament. If it’s a “Yes” result, it will not be binding - essentially, the result only counts if it’s a “No”.

And that. That pisses me off.

But you know what I’m really furious about? Why I rage posted earlier? Prepare yourself before you click the link below. If you are likely to be triggered by slurs, and queerphobic words and imagery, do not look, friend.

They are hiding the cookies because of my binge eating. I am okay with this. There was an incident involving cookies.

So I kinda meant “I have lost control of my life, at least as regards cookies.”

I can’t stress enough how flippin’ great these cookies are though.
