It’s that, as much as Maleficent has looked after and protected Aurora, Aurora wants to do the same for Maleficent.

Aurora wants to look after her godmother.

Aurora wants to protect the Protector.

She wants to make sure that no one will ever hurt her again.

And I think that’s fucking beautiful.
