"Iāve always been thrown off by the obsession with change. itās as though people truly believe in themselves so much that they define their lives by what they find to be an original thought. itās not that I donāt believe in change or that I find it unnecessary, quite frankly I believe itās always happening. it happens at different speeds, but always in a cycle. - - - itās been a rough time in the collective consciousness,(i.e. itās politics, emotions, actions & all its equal and subsidiary parts) so the push for change has been in the forefront of many minds & hearts. with this, itās very crucial to take time to regroup & be with oneself in order to help others. (you cannot invite someone over for dinner with an empty pantry) - - - when I was making these songs and compiling them I took time to reflect on the many cycles I have jumped in and out of in my life. the idea of change has always brought me back to the idea of redefinition. with this, it isnāt that Iām looking to simply make a change and therefore something will cease to exist, but more redefine what exists, to acknowledge what it was before and my relationship to it & proceed to recharge it with the awareness of new eyes.
