Marvin the Martian (âLooney Tunesâ, â)
âIâm conquering this planet in the name of Mars. Isnât that delightful?â
Since itâs a certain martianâs birthday, might as well dedicate this one to him, donât you think?
Bugs Bunny, with his trolling ways, is good at making enemies: a hunter tries to hunt him for the fun of it, a red mustached little guy hates rabbits as a rule, a certain duck wants to steal his thunderâŠ
âŠand apparently not even the space is safe from the rabbitâs antics!
Marvin can be best described as Yosemite Samâs complete opposite: where Sam is loud, hot tempered and irascible, this martian is soft spoken, quiet and stoic even when angry, barely changing tone of voice when he declares out loud he feels irritated.
Marvin is the kind of alien that views earthlings as an inferior species, comparing us to bugs: he often casually remarks that he wants to destroy Earth altogether? Why?
Well, apparently our planet obstructs his view on Venus⊠What he wants to look on Venus, I have no idea, but, if itâs true that all men come from Mars, then⊠:3c
Oh, come on, donât look at me like that: everyone thought about it⊠I think?
So, yeah! Many destructive thoughts in such a small body! Thatâs what is peculiar about Marvin: he has the most pleasant disposition, and even in his snobbish views on us, he finds Earth fascinating, but would take no problem in obliterating nuisances and what not with a laser gun!
So, it would be rather obvious to say that Marvin is not someone to be messed with, but, if he happens to be in a good mood, he can be incredibly jovial and loveable in his interactions: his destructive based tendencies do not hinder his genuine politeness and, whenever he finds something that he enjoys, you get yourself a very enthusiastic martian!
So, I like Marvin because heâs the living embodiment of the âLooks like a cinnamon roll, but he can actually kill youâ statement: heâs both one the most dangerous foes to Bugs Bunny, and yet also one the most adorable ones; he embodies both danger and pleasent-ness so naturally that itâs no wonder he is so beloved by so many people!
So, happy birthday, little martian! You make Mars so great with your presence alone!
