People need to realize that not everything is for them and that's okay.

Last week, Hamilton, a Broadway musical that has been around for over 10 years, was released in theaters in my country.

The problem is that MANY people are treating it like a premiere, and recently I've been seeing videos of people complaining that fans of a MUSICAL are SINGING the songs.

It has been confirmed that these movie screenings are for fans of the musical, and even Lin-Manuel Miranda (creator of the musical) encouraged people to sing along. The fans weren't shouting the songs (as far as I understand), they were singing them and having fun. No, it wasn't labeled as “sing along.” But do you really think the fans aren't going to sing the songs?

This reminds me of when Taylor Swift's Eras Tour premiered and people (mostly men) started criticizing swifties for having fun and exchanging bracelets. Let people live.

Hot take for the Arcane fans since the fandom has died considerably (as an Arcane fan myself)

The fact that a lot of people, timebomb shippers/fans and Red Shannon (Ekko's VA, yes, he is part of the problem), say "ohh, they definitely did IT 🤭" after Jinx was so little to k1ll1ng herself IS DISGUSTING AND DEHUMANIZING. How can you think of that after seeing Jinx depressed, with no will to live? Be fucking for real.

i try not to get annoyed whenever arcane fans act as tho ekko & vi don’t have valid reasons for being upset w or not liking jinx, but it’s hard not to when she literally mistreated them both throughout season 1 (also tried to/almost killed them, and tried to kill or actually killed ppl they cared for) and i don’t understand how so many ppl just straight-up deny/gloss over it. it’s very weird to me.

like… are we forgetting that she’s kind of a not-great person who hurts/kills the firelights (who are ekko’s ppl/friends/family), and even hurts/tries to kill her loved ones, or ppl she used to love (ekko, vi, silco)?

obviously, she’s very mentally ill & the shimmer made everything worse, but that only explains her behavior, it doesn’t necessarily excuse her mistreatment of others and it definfiely doesn’t mean that the ppl she’s hurt don’t have a right to be upset abt it and dislike her for it at all. they shouldn’t have to suffer bc of her, i don’t see how that’s okay or fair.
