A/N: Was iffy about still writing this now since my last work kinda flopped & I took a much needed break after that + kept busy BTS anyway. Yet I made a promise to the ledger girlies & Tyriq’s bday was also a thing—what happened to that idk was it: 15 days of Tyriq thing? 👀 Figured I knock one out before July is actually over!—Fandom slowly turning into dust I fear? Anyways might be adding to the dust after this tbh. Feel free to let me know () which part is your fav. 🤍
WARNINGS: Inspired by the bear’s, “Gary” episode, a little stand by me, & featuring some characters from The Gates (2026) because I want Ledger to have more friends than what they gave in the film. Again never read the book just only seen the movie once so if it’s too OOC sorry! I know the bare minimum when it comes to Wyoming, language, bestie!core?, LONG fic with a sweet ending. TW: racism, & some talks of religion.
Playlist: Chloe, Timbaland, “World on fire,” + The Sylvers, “We Can Make It If We Try,” + Infinity Song, “One Foot Out,” + Rico Nasty, “Rage,” + Destin Conrad, “So Nice” + Summer Joy, “A Sirens Call”.

[~LARAMIE, 5:43am]
“Yeah, it’s about time you came and showed your face.” Ledger greets Ada from inside her garage, hands in the trunk of her ‘06 Miata, already grabbing the luggage she tossed in there a few days prior, “I was giving you the benefit of the doubt—otherwise I would have enjoyed organizing a plan to get your butt up. We’re already gettin’ a late start.”
Ada simply rubs at her eye, standing in the doorway that leads back into the home, shortly followed by her sucking her teeth.
The twenty-seven year old wasnt the least bit surprised that Ledger managed to get inside this part of her home…considering he was one of the few closest to her that had access to it anyway.
She appears to already be dressed for this lengthy trip, sweatsuit keeping her cozy, and hair still rolled.
“Don’t be annoying, it’s too early.” She shuffles into the garage in her slides, then leans against her vehicle, watching him move her things into…what wasn’t his classic rust orange pickup, “…what’s this? Are you…on a break with Shelby?”
Scotty’s beloved truck that Ledger’s taken ownership of as the years carried on.
He blinks over from behind his blueish-gray 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser. “Now you know someone’s gotta be the responsible one here. We unfortunately won’t make it to Jackson with her. And before you try it, I said no to taking your mouse inspired car weeks ago.”
Ada gives a faux pout letting out a, “Awww,” and before she can give a solid debate on why driving her car would be more fun, a yawn rips through her.
Ledger steps away from the more updated car he splurged on a while ago but mostly kept inside his garage.
He stops in front of Ada, eyes tracing all over her face, “…How much sleep did you get last night?”
“You mean this morning?” Ada corrects, pushing her lips out, then blows a raspberry, “Tamara wanted to hangout at that club that’s too infested with college kids now. Didn’t get in until…some time after one? And we all know it takes forever for me to just nap so you do the math, Ledgy.”
She knocks the back of her fingers against his torso with a snort.
Ledger lets out a slow sigh, “Maybe you should stay here then.”
“And do what?” Ada presses, “Remain stuck in this cycle? I already dropped Mablean at Roman’s before Tam and I went out. I don’t back out of much and I said id take that ride with you, so be quiet, thanks. Let me just grab the last of my stuff and we can go. I’m fine, stop looking at me like that.”
Ledger dips his head, knowing that when Ada Paisley set her mind on something it was extremely difficult to pry her away.
He was headed out to Jackson for a business seminar that could help elevate Ward’s then planned on purchasing a flight to get to Florida for his mom’s side of the family’s reunion.
When Ledger spoke with his parents about his plans and mentioned Ada was possibly coming along, they were more than thrilled to see her.
Maybe more than their own kid!
Ledger won’t hold you, since he was backtracking through Wyoming for inspiration towards his career, he really didn’t mind the company from Ada.
However he could see how drained she was and somedays it was more than others.
The last thing he wanted to do was have her feeling guilty if she did have to step back from this trip.
Lost in his thoughts, he gets a glimpse of Ada as she circles around him, passenger side door pulled back, tossing her backpack and tote bag on the floor of the car. Her neck pillow sits on the seat when she moves to stand up alongside the ajar door to peer up over the roof of the car.
“Damn. I forgot how noice this is. Better than Shelby who you always pick to run the city with.”
Ledger scoffs, “Don’t disrespect my baby like that. It’s not her fault you don’t know to drive her right. Also get down and act like you have some sense please? We don’t have time for accidents before we’re on the road. You got everything? Cause I can’t say imma come back if you don’t. Matter of fact, let me do a walkthrough and set the alarm for you. Stay put.”
Ada immediately rolls her eyes, facing her old friend with pinkish eye jellies underneath her own now, “Whatever you say, dad.”
Ledger just chuckles to himself, heading over to the Miata and plucks the acoustic guitar up from the backseat. He sends Ada a knowing glance on his way by, ignoring the question in her eyes as he gently places the instrument on the Land Cruiser’s backseat.
When he gets back, plopping into the driver’s side with an exhale, he already sees Ada helped herself to the iced coffee in the holder.
A caramel macchiato with Oatmilk since she’s still in denial that she’s allergic to nuts.
It’s half gone.
He inquires with a smile playing by the corner of his lips, “Good?”
“My favorite,” her head lolls in the passenger seat with one leg pulled up in the seat, “I see you decided to be boring this morning and pick a hot green tea.”
Of course she sampled his beverage too.
Ledger puffs out a laugh as he begins to strap himself in with one hand and starting the engine with the other, “I’m going for the healthier option—for my body. I don’t need the commentary this morning, cupcake.”
A old nickname that both Ledger and Scotty sarcastically used when they battled Ada’s snark.
Ada nods her head along and actually doesn’t say much back, although the head nodding was a little on the obnoxious side…Ledger takes note of her lack of bickering in that moment.
Then they’re off.
Ada’s house left in the rearview.
And so, they welcome the 6 to 7 hour drive to Jackson.
The morning radio might as well have been a podcast with all the chatting the hosts tended to do but it’s ten minutes onto the interstate, air blasting and company felt.
“What happened to you yesterday morning?” Ledger decides to ask, “Pat and Grace were looking for you at church. Kenna said she saw you out the night before at BB’s.”
Ada started to attend church more—not every Sunday but every now and then. She was slowly finding a space for herself there but had her guard up still.
Her late father, Asa, grew up in an abusive religious household so the faith he instilled in his daughter was different.
Not necessarily traditional.
There but at an angle.
As for Barnwood Bistro’s on Saturday…Ada wasn’t with her other friends or anything like that.
It was more of solo date…while having a certain worker there entertain her whenever he had a shift and tended to the floor.
Not a big deal.
The twenty-eight year old can visibly see his friend’s shoulders hunch from his peripheral and that gets him glancing at her.
“What happened?”
“Oh I don’t know, Ledgy. Maybe I don’t like that your somewhat fling is stalking me to report back to you and for what?” She chews on her straw while slightly glaring at the man beside her.
His eyes this morning were on the green side.
Careful yet curious.
Ledger turns his attention back to the road but keeps his tone leveled, “Ken and I went on one date. We’re friends. Let it go. And you’re being pretty defensive, so you might as well come on out with it.”
Her shoulders lift before shuffling to the right, bringing her elbow up onto the door.
“Derek was there,” Ada reveals, “Came right up to the table to fuck up my mood but knowing him? He didn’t see it that way. Clueless to everything. Assumed Jhonny and I were still together.”
Ledger scoffs, knowing how that must have made Ada feel. However he also knows how Derek is too. Or at least how he used to be in highschool.
Often oblivious.
It was Ledger, Derek, and Tyon that used to be on Laramie High’s football team. They all ended up going seperate ways after high school but Ledger and Tyon still remained pretty close—whereas ledger’s friendship with Derek faded pretty quickly.
“He should stay his ass in New York instead of worrying about what you have going on. Ya’ll weren’t cool like that anyway.” Ledger mutters, sitting up straighter in the driver’s seat, one hand at the top of the wheel.
Last Ledger knew—unwarranted—thanks to Tyon—that Derek was pursuing sports law instead.
Ada hums, “We are friendly enough whenever we see each other. I didn’t take much offense to it—although Derek’s watched my stories since I been dumped Jhonny’s ass. I actually don’t have much smoke for your friends.”
Ledger whips his head over to Ada so fast that her brows raise, “That dude ain’t no friend of mine. I have all the friends I need and he didn’t make the cut. Which is fine by me.”
The woman sucks air through her teeth.
She can feel that steam radiating off Ledger, although he tried to center it.
Ada wasn’t exactly sure what went wrong between the two but she also didn’t push it. Some tended to peak during their high school eras while others strictly left it behind if the tossed caps came back to them.
Overall, Ada quickly understood that Ledger just did not vibe with Derek anymore.
“And I would tell him his shit stinks just like everyone else’s if we weren’t on this road too. He has no business asking you about some clown from your past that couldn’t treat you right.”
Ada moves again, letting her head lay against the headrest in thought.
“True. What makes it worse is that because Derek decided to bring Jhonny up, I started reminiscing.”
Ledger feels his eye twitch, “…care to elaborate?”
“I doom-scrolled.” Ada admits, “Took him off block on instagram. Browsed through his stupid gym thirst trap TikTok’s…and oh! jhonny allegedly got off his ass and is training to be a pilot.”
Ledger is silent at this but she knows he’s still listening.
“Okay…curiosity got the best of you. That’s normal. Just don’t say you hit him up.”
Ada takes a large sip of the leftover iced coffee.
“ADA! Got damn Paisley.” He knocks his hand against the steering wheel, “You didn’t.” Ledger deadpanned.
Her nail taps at the itch of anxiety along her edges, “I may have had too many Paloma’s that night alright? It’s Derek’s fault actually.”
“Uh uh,” Ledger shakes his head, “That asshole cheated on you, Ada. You legit left here to be with him in Texas and start your singing career. Then he goes and sleeps with one of the label’s assistants behind your back? And you slide in his DM’s two years later? You deadass hate a whole state because of Jhonny. The thirst traps couldn’t have been that damn good.”
Ada crinkled her nose and crosses her ankles over the other.
Curly damp dark hair. Hazel eyes. Strong jawline with facial hair growing in. Bronzed skin. Glistening abs held at the right angle…
“You have no idea,” she fidgets to mess with the air vents and even turns the air up more, “Brought up some…feelings.”
Ledger snorts, “Yeah, you mean lust. Ew.”
“You asked.”
“No I didn’t. I made a statement—there’s a difference.” Ledger argues, his hand tightening at the wheel.
Ada huffs.
“I’m a dumbass.”
“I didn’t say that.”
“You’re thinking it though, it’s whatever! I know I’m too smart for this…it’s called taking accountability for my actions. I am a self-aware bad ass bitch who folded but I WILL NOT continue to play the fool.”
Ledger nods, hearing her, believing her, “…Did he read the DM?”
Ada chews on her lip and throws her hands up in the air, “I don’t know! I blocked him again yesterday morning when i realized what I did.”
Ledger laughs.
“It’s not funny.”
“You’re right, it’s not.” Ledger easily agrees, “You don’t need to spin the block with Jhonny. He isn’t worth it even if he might have cleaned up his act. Chapter’s closed. Forever. Cause I said so.”
Ada snickers, turning to rest on her side as she studied the physical profile of Ledger Ward.
“Am I…just supposed to do whatever you say?”
Ledger turns his head to meet Ada’s stare, both already knowing the answer to that, “Just try to humor me. Might help you stay out of trouble too.”
Ada finds her head tilting to the side like that Brittany Broski meme—considering his words, smacks her lips, then shuts her eyes.
Ledger turns from the radio to the AUX, ready to fill this white noise with something actually worthwhile.
[~RAWLINS, 7:36am]
There’s some traffic, which Ledger expected to hit.
He won’t lie and say he didn’t get huffy once it became stop and go on this scenic route, however it didn’t last long when his attention was steered elsewhere.
Ledger ends up on a morning call with Diem and Grace.
Diem wanted to talk, like she always did when Grace was dropping her off to her summer program for four hours of the day.
He had to remind her that he would be gone for some days and promised he would bring back something good for her.
“Will it have pretty colors?” Diem asked, making Ledger’s heart warm.
Diem Landry easily became one of Ledger’s favorite people to talk to.
Such a bright little thing with the whole world set in front of her.
He promised that whatever he found, it would include her favorite colors—the rainbow.
Ada opens her eyes as soon as the call ends, her arms up and locked over the back of the headrest while her neck pillow gave her the support she desperately needed in lengthy car rides like these.
“Ugh. She’s so stinking cute that my ovaries nearly exploded! Then I remembered children might not be for me.”
Ledger breathed out a laugh.
Ada was fond of Diem too and randomly assisted Ledger on the little league team he coached sometimes—her methods were much more chaotic than the old athlete but the kids took to Ada too.
Ledger says, “You could have tapped in and say hey. Grace asked about you.”
“Didn’t want to interrupt family time.”
Ledger gives her a look.
“And what exactly are you then?”
Ada knows what he means but she also knows Ledger’s time with The Landry’s was real important to him.
She slowly lowers her arms down from the headrest with a sigh, “I know Ledgy. You just don’t know what you would do without me ‘cause you love me so much!”
She’s gripping his clothed arm that’s not holding the steering wheel, pulling at his sleeve and immediately Ledger scrunches up his face.
“Yeah alright, you can go back to sleep now.”
Ada puckers her lips then taps them together, making an irritating sound like a gapping fish.
It’s Ledger’s turn to roll his eyes but a dimpled smile can’t help but to sit on his handsome face.
Ada only mirrors the same expression.
With tracks ranging from Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker, Mickey Guyton, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey, Dolly Parton, Kane Brown, Tiera Kennedy, to Beyonce and 70’s soul music, it was safe to say that Ada didn’t have to intervene with being the DJ of this ride so far.
She’s browsing through her phone when she brings up, “Ledge. How do you feel about a long haired daschund?”
“You don’t need another dog, Ada.”
The woman beside him frowns, “I wasn’t talking about for me! Although I’d like to think that I’m an excellent dog mama—I meant for you. This one here is a spotted little diva right here in Rawlins.”
“We’re not stopping to pick up a dog.” Ledger states, “And I don’t know how you think I’d have time for one when I’ve got Ward’s, Diem coming around every other day and weekend, I also help you out with Mable when you go to class at night, not to mention coaching my little league and dealing with your hardheaded ass.”
Ada scoffs with a deep crinkle following in the center of her nose before shoving her phone in his direction—which was a hazard by the way—as she continued her argument, “Yeah so you’ve got a lot on your plate like the rest of us. That’s life. But part of life is perfecting how to sleep at night to begin again the next day. I mean, hello?! You’re living in your childhood home all by yourself!”
Ledger side glances at the photo of the dog then smacks Ada’s arm down by the wrist.
“I know I’m not getting lectured by someone who functions on maybe three hours of sleep on a daily.” Ledger comments, “And I actually sleep just fine, thank you. With my sanity somewhat still in tact. You on the other hand? Are debatable.”
Ada drops her phone back into her lap and folds her arms tightly, “I can’t believe I’m being insulted already by my so called bestie, when I was only suggesting a emotional support animal for you. Mable’s done wonders for me.”
Ledger blinks, “My therapist hasn’t suggested that for me yet—if you’re serious.”
Ada hums at this reveal.
It’s good to know that he started therapy back up again.
Been awhile but check in’s with himself led Ledger to picking up the phone and making that call. Thankfully with his hectic schedule, most sessions could be done via zoom but if the anxiety got to be too much, and he didn’t want to bother Ada with it, he knew where to find his doctor in person.
“Well…just say the word and I can find some places.”
A small smile appears on Ledger’s face as he peeks over at Ada who keeps her gaze outside the windowshield.
“What if I decide I’m a cat person? Or into reptiles like Tamara?”
Tamara was a tattoo artist back in Laramie and was one of Ada’s close friends. She also inked up Ledger once or twice, gave Ada a tiny tat of her late father’s birth year on her shoulder—that surely needed to be touched up but Ada wasn’t a fan of needles. The blasian girl owned a corn snake, a bearded dragon, and a few crested geckos.
Her apartment was very earthy to say the least.
“I’d say I don’t believe you.” Ada snickers, “You jumped up on Tam’s couch when one of her geckos ran across her floor when we went over to check on her place.”
It was when Tamara and Roman went on a weekend trip together…
Yeah sip on that tea!
“I was caught off guard and your watching skills could have been better.”
“Hey! Reptiles aren’t my thing. I’m only used to big mama, Mable. I did my best.”
“Damn near had a heart attack.”
“Which is why reptiles absolutely aren’t for you and you don’t give cat dad.”
“I could be.”
“You’re not foolin’ me, Ledger Ward.” Ada scoffs with a wag of her finger.
While the signs for the next towns approaching seemed to pass on, they were left to tune more into the music and split some large juicy grapes Ada packed.
Her head continued to nod to the fading out of The Sylver’s, “We Can Make it if we try,” a smile sat on her full lips as they vibed to the song together, since it still felt timeless even if they didn’t experience life yet at the time.
Ledger lowered the music from his steering wheel, his throat clearing enough to make Ada turn her attention to him.
“Write any new songs you wanna share?”
“I knew you brought my guitar for a reason.”
Ledger shrugs, “I’m not going to put you on the spot to sing. I was just wondering and consider your love back there as awaiting inspiration.”
His head nudged back to the instrument that lay on the empty backseat.
Ada sighs.
The music might not have panned out the way she wanted it to back in Texas. However the gift of songwriting and creating music never left Ada Paisley.
She hoped it never would.
Ada did tend to get shy showing new material—when she knew she didn’t have to be but she could get in her head now after things didn’t work out in Austin.
Jhonny sleeping with the assistant at the label, who so happened to be the owner’s niece, stamped Ada as a potential problem they didn’t want to be involved with.
As if record labels didn’t have their own drama all the time.
As if Ada was the one who done went and slept with the girl!
She fought to remain professional as she was blind sided by Jhonny’s sickening behavior…but that doesn’t mean she didn’t let him have it after the label made their final decision.
Her writing process had to be perfect and Ada wasn’t sure if her recent song was just that yet.
“I…appreciate it.” Ada manages to get out, lightly scratching at her fingers before flexing them, “I’ll eventually share just…not now.”
Ledger dips his head, not pushing.
His thumb halts over the button to control the volume of the music, “Can I at least get a hint of the title?”
Ada twists her lips in thought, “I’ll just say…it would actually fit for this ride. Sound wise.”
So she’s already recorded it?!
Probably with Kevin—a friend of Tyon’s from California who ventured out to visit with Tyon just last year.
Kevin also had pipes.
Worked at a car dealership but did producing on the side.
Most people Ledger knew had to hustle to make ends meet.
At first, Ledger thought this Kevin guy was a little too flirty with Ada but soon learned they had a shared interest in music.
That became more important.
Ada and Kevin kept in touch.
Kevin also didn’t fuck with Derek like that either.
Ledger deflates and puffs out a breath, “You’re killing me, you know that?! But—I’ll respect your boundary on not wanting to share right now. However…you don’t ever have to doubt that talent around me. I’m one if not your biggest cheerleader. I’m sure the song is better than I’m imagining too.”
Ada sends him a watery smile in silent thanks, tucking her chin against her folded arms that rested up on her kneecaps now.
She performed at Ward’s a few times, specifically during a bad thunderstorm that knocked the power out for at least a hour and thirty minutes. Ada surprised a few that only knew of her and wasn’t aware she’s a singer.
Ada was enrolled in college back in Rock Springs for business but rightfully so, after the sudden passing of her father she dropped out.
Funny enough she ended up in the project coordinator career for a construction company anyway.
It wasn’t a end goal for her but it was a job.
After being a college drop out, a friend of the family, Ana Paula continued helping Ada and sent her on her way to Laramie.
At nineteen with savings from a shitty retail side job and profits made off selling her dad’s food truck and the RV that was their home for as long as Ada could remember, she was off living in a world without the man that taught her how to keep going.
A will that was proven to be hard to do now that he was no longer in her corner.
He was her first best friend outside of being a father.
Then she met Ledger Ward (who was back from Colorado on winter break) and Scotty Landry one winter at a drive-in theater that no one had any business being outside in.
The rest was history.
Nonetheless it was always a story meant to be remembered.
[~MUDDY GAP, 8:24am]
Ada probably should have kept her mouth shut since the universe decided to show her and Ledger a thing or two.
The crossroads stretched on for so long that it started to feel like they were stuck in a repeated loop.
The area looked like a complete ghost town and felt like Ada was only seeing nothing but dirt no matter which direction she looked.
It shouldn’t have taken long to get through it but a sudden swarm of dust appeared in the road just as the pair were traveling through.
“Ledger…” She starts just as the dust completely covers them.
Her hands scramble to shut the vents as the exterior of the vehicle takes the brunt of the whipping sandstorm.
Ledger keeps his composure, knowing that he couldn’t completely slow down although he last checked in the rearview that there hasn’t been any other cars behind them, they just had to pull through.
Pressing the hazard lights on, he eases up some off the gas but sat up even straighter in the driver’s seat now.
More focused than ever.
“We’re gonna be alright. Shouldn’t last long.” He reassured Ada who didn’t realize she was holding her breath.
Sandstorms were always so unexpected, crazy, and left you with the question if you hallucinated what you just experienced.
A pocket of clearing could been seen, making Ledger apply the same amount of speed he was once traveling.
Small smiles started to appear on the friend’s faces, thinking they’re leaving the cloud of sand behind them until a popping sound from the back is heard.
“Naaah.” Ledger exhales, carefully steering the car off the road and into the shoulder.
Ada continued to wince as she can gradually feel the SUV lowering from her side of the car.
Ledger caressed at his facial hair, back of his head hitting the headrest as he came to terms that they just been handed a flat.
After all that!
“…am I the bad omen? Not the good luck charm.”
Ledger can tell she’s trying to lighten the mood and he’s not gonna take it out on her, even if this whole ordeal could be viewed as a coincidence.
However if his mother, Mrs. Robin was here?
The true believer of taking everything as a sign—sometimes too dramatically!
This whole moment would have gone differently.
“I’ve got a spare in the trunk.” Ledger tells, “It’s decent but I’m not sure if it’ll hold until jackson. Gotta check an auto shop in either Lander or Dubois.”
He then moves to shut the engine off, picks up his insulated water bottle to down some water, then rubs his mouth with the back of his hand.
“Okay man with the plan,” Ada clasps her hands together in front of her, “Let’s do it.”
Ledger blinks over at her, “You’re not doing anything.”
“Why? Cause I’m a lady?”
She pokes him.
Hard.
Ledger frowns at her, “No. Cause I saw Wylie out here before the storm hit us and the last thing I need is you trying to leer a wild animal into the car with us.”
Ada scoffs, “That’s more of a reason for me to be outside with you, having your back just in case a coyote might sneak you.”
Ledger pinches at the bridge of his nose.
“Fine. This won’t take long.”
Ada nods, “Duh. Especially with me as your right hand. I know how to change a tire too—it’s been awhile but I’m sure I can help.”
Ledger has a crooked smile on his face, that look saying it all as he tosses the driver’s side open first.
Twenty-five minutes.
That’s all it took for Ledger to swap the tires out.
Ada swings her hoodie up in the air by the arm in celebration when Ledger gets everything back into place in the trunk.
He breathes out a laugh, stepping forward to smack in his hand down into her held out one, going forth with their signature handshake before they both retreat to opposite sides, climbing back into the car.
Maybe five minutes back into the drive, Ada’s singing along to the shuffled playlist until she picks up on the way Ledger leans into the turn he makes along the curve of the road.
“Hey.” She calls out.
Ledger sighs, glancing over but still leans towards the door on his left.
“What’s up?”
“Don’t lie.” Ada points at him.
Ledger brows begins to furrow.
“That shoulder’s bothering you ain’t it?”
Ledger just pulls his bottom lip into his mouth and gives a curt nod.
He won’t deny it.
That old injury still got the best of him—doing “simple” things.
That’s the one thing they never tell you about injuries…it’s still a form of trauma. And that kind of damage is something that never goes back to normal, you just continue to move around it.
It’s on the tip of Ada’s tongue to tell Ledger that he should have let her help him lift the tire into the back—that he didn’t need to be macho man but her glare says enough for her.
“…are you gonna let me take over and drive?”
Ledger sucks air through his teeth.
Ada finds her phone.
“Bet. Then we’re gonna find a place to stay in until it feels better or until you trust me to get through the next few towns.”
Ledger begins to shake his head, “We don’t have time for that.”
“Well we’re making time,” she concludes, spending some time browsing, then messes with the dashboard, adding another stop to the route, “Take the next right at the stop sign. Don’t test me, Ward.”
Ledger coughs, “…Yes ma’am.”

Ledger lets out a moan with his head tucked forward.
His head is pulled back against a chest that belongs to no other than Ada.
Her fingers move from the front of his shoulder blade, releasing pressure and feeling him relax against her.
He’s seated on the edge of the bed, in a tank and mesh shorts he switched into as soon as he realized the AC was in fact trash, like the young worker warned them.
The teen looked out for Ledger and Ada, since Ledger claimed they shouldn’t need the room for more than an hour.
The brace faced teen was all smirks at that, only charging them the starting the fee.
Ada had to get that kid’s mind out of the gutter but the way Ledger was failing to keep quiet wasn’t helping the dirty minded kid’s thoughts if he so happened to be listening—surely.
“One more?”
“Y-yeah.”
“Breathe, Ledge.” She reminds him, her arm coming around his front to press right at the crease where his shoulder met his armpit again.
His arm is stretched out and held by the wrist with her other hand, holding taunt.
He grunts through it.
“All done.” She places his wrist at his side, moving off the bed to retrieve the wrapped ice pack she shoved in the surprisingly cool mini fridge.
Ada holds it out in front of him to do the honors.
He does.
She sips at her water, plopping down in a desk chair tucked into the room, lightly swaying from side to side.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were this undercover masseuse?” Ledger lays back against the bed, still holding the ice pack to his shoulder.
Ada laughs, “Hardly. Ana Paula showed me a few things whenever my dad threw his back out. She should be the one you thank.”
She winks at the mention of the Lakota woman.
Ledger exhales, “Shout out to Ana Paula. Remind me to give her a big hug the next time I see her.”
“Will do. Now rest up.”
“Only if you join me.”
[~LANDER, 10:50am]
They’re back on the road again but Ada’s in the driver’s seat.
Which was a funny sight at first, watching her adjust the seat to her liking…a huge contrast to how Ledger previously had it.
Understandable since the guy was a clean 6’5, leaving Ada down at 5’5. She wasn’t sure how he expected her to drive, her now unrolled voluminous hair floating over her shoulder when she sends him a glare from her right.
He filled up the tank at the service station since the cruiser already brought them down to a half tank so far while Ada browsed the inside of the small convience store.
She got a real kick out of the written notes all over the place from: if you clog it, ask for a plunger! to the nacho machine, “outta cheese, keep it movin’ please. Then she found some pretty impressive and questionable doodles on the scarce stand that carried flavored sunflower seeds.
Ada couldn’t leave without taking a quick picture of a bumper sticker that read: TF IS A MUDDY GAP?!
You betcha she added that picture to her stories, smiling to herself as she stood outside in a cropped Jean jacket and biker shorts that enjoyed riding up every time she moved.
Her and Ledger had the same idea, trading their sweats for clothes that’ll keep them cool now that the weather was more humid out this way.
“Real. Western. Spirit.” Ada constantly chanted with pep in her voice since Ledger read her the motto for the town.
All he can do is shake his head at the twenty-seven year old, telling her, “You aint learn yet talking shit, huh? This is exactly why we’re looking for an auto shop now.”
Ada wiggles her head around mockingly, “You’re so right. Let me relax then, partner.”
“Would you please? Partner,” Ledger blinks at her in warning then lifts his chin, “Two more miles up the road.”
She follows his instruction although she could see it on GPS down to her right. Lander was definitely more lively than that old ghost town they traveled out of but still didn’t feel like Laramie.
Soon they pulled up to Ramsay’s body shop.
It was close by the road with a few pickups in assorted colors on the lot. Across the street sat a dull green and cream colored house that might have been a daycare center, down from there sat a large range of sewer pipes.
The mountains in the back stood proudly against this secluded part of Lander.
Ada was outside beside the car, hands resting on her hips as she looked around. Ledger went through the garage door to find this said Ramsay guy while she briefly closed her eyes taking in the light sun rays that warmed up her face.
Nothing like fresh Wyoming air.
Out this way Ada could pick up the sharp scent of wild sage, warm pine, and crisp air—maybe a river was somewhere near as a small breeze blew by.
Her senses get her to turn, meeting a stocky man that stood shorter than her.
He sported dark wash denim overalls that were coated in nothing by motor oil and dirt, a cap turned backwards, lazy left eye, and had a cigarette tucked behind his ear.
“Hi.” Ada speaks.
The man dips his head, “Keys?”
“Still in the ignition.”
“Good.” The man’s got a gruff voice that sounds as if it needs to be cleared multiple times, “Told your boyfriend here I’ll get you two on your way within a hour or hour thirty. Just gotta finish up another car I’m working on.”
Ada slowly nods her head, eyes searching for Ledger who stood at the garage door looking down at his phone.
She doesn’t bother correcting the man and decides to ask, “Do you know anywhere we can hang out while we wait?”
“Course!” The man takes the key out of the car, turning to put his back to it, he points to his right, “Take that street right there and head on down to Stetson’s Spur—hope y’all like diner food. It’s ‘bout a ten, fifteen minute walk but i know y’all aren’t strangers to the outdoors. Kid said you’re comin’ round from southeast.”
Ada nods, “Yup that’s right.”
“Real windy out there I hear.”
“Oh yeah,” Ada shoves her hands into her jacket’s pockets, “Still nice to see the rest of the state.”
Ramsay shrugs, “Been here all my life. Plan to die here too but you young folks gotta keep searching the earth. It’s what you’re made for.”
He winks at Ada.
𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎.
Stetson’s Spur is a true diner.
Had 50’s themed tunes playing with half wooden floors that creak as soon as the toe of your shoes touch it.
There’s not an empty space on the floral wallpaper covered walls that it almost makes Ada question if they stepped into an antique store instead.
A American flag was up proudly outside by the front door, swaying in the air while a chalkboard of today’s specials also sat on the sidewalk.
A older Saint Barnard drooled by the front window that showed the view of the mini downtown area.
Ledger tried his best to ignore the stares as soon as he and Ada entered the establishment. The pair stood by the: wait to be seated sign for a minute or two until a brunette with a splatter of freckles rushes over with a breathy smile.
She leads them over to a booth and on their way by, they pass by a group of men in their pointed cowboy hats, sneering at the sight of them.
Ada sends Ledger a look over her shoulder that he doesn’t ignore.
His head dips, then reaches out to rest on her shoulders, steering her further along.
He sits across from her, with a good view of the door while Ada immediately shoves her nose into the menu.
“They’ve got some BBQ meatloaf for you, Ledge.” Ada informs, her lips curling up to her nose in disgust.
For as long as Ada’s known Ledger Ward, his favorite meal was always meatloaf. He preferred it with gravy but the only option was some tangy—Stetson’s special sauce—BBQ concoction they had.
Ledger hums, bringing his eyes to meet Ada’s, “Can’t eat heavy on the road and you shouldn’t either.”
Ada scoffs, “Now you know, I’m not much of a salad eatin’ woman.”
He laughs, pressing his arms against the edge of the table, bringing his gaze down to browse the menu himself, “That’s true. I’m just sayin’ don’t cry to me in the passenger seat that your belly feels like fireworks.”
“Shut your face, Ledger.”
Keeping his hues on the menu, he grins.
Cause she knows he’s right.
However iced coffee, grapes, crackers, water, and beef jerky can only hold someone for so long.
Lily-Jo, the two friends learn her name to be, the same girl who brought them into the diner comes back around with a roll of bread with options of: butter, honey, or chokecherry jelly.
“Now that that is settled,” Lily-Jo pulls out her floral printed notepad that definitely didn’t fit the aesthetic, which let Ada know the girl around their age beat to her own drum, “Can I get you two started with something to drink? Water on tap—it hurts my heart to say you’re better off drinking sparkling water—which my step-dad won’t get inventory on because that would be too cafe like, flavored lemonades, milkshakes, floats, soda pop…yadda yadda.”
Ada smiles, “I’ve had my eye on one of your floats—it damn sure won’t be the root beer one though.”
Ledger coughs out, “Hater.”
If you guessed root beer as one of his favorites as well then you’d be correct.
“Not my fault it tastes like an abomination.”
“You gotta expand your palettes.”
Ada sticks her tongue out at him.
Lily-Jo laughs, “You two are so cute. Let me guess honey, you want to try out thee toasted marshmallow float?”
“You got it, girl.”
“It’s actually something I pushed for on the menu. To liven it up a bit. You won’t regret it.” Lily-Jo continues to smile as she writes it down, turning back to Ledger, “And for you, stud-muffin?”
Ada wiggled her brows at Ledger because of the pet name, silently teasing but she had the sense that Lily-Jo called everyone endearing names.
Ledger keeps his eyes on the freckled woman, “I think I’ll do a regular lemonade.”
“Cool!” Lily Jo nods, “Still need a few more minutes with the menu? Or can I help you make a decision?”
Ledger looks back at Ada who lifts her shoulders smiling.
“Uh…I think I’ll do the Mush-N-Swiss Chicken sandwich. And I’ll take the slaw over the fries.”
“Did you just pick whatever your pretty eyes fell on to avoid wasting time?” Lily-Jo asks with a hand on her hip.
Ada nods her head, “That’s exactly what my buddy did, Lily-Jo. So like him!”
“Darlin’, Do you even like mushrooms?”
Ledger frowns, not knowing what’s going on right now, “I…don’t hate them?”
“I think you should take your time.” Lily-Jo tells with her nose up in the air, starting to turn back to Ada who humphed in agreement.
“Is this your way of telling me that the sandwich sucks?”
“GOD no! I’m telling you not to rush and get something you may not really enjoy just to get me outta here.”
“Oh no, it’s not like that. I own a bar back home and I know how it is when someone takes forever to decide.”
Lily-Jo whips her stare back to Ledger that his eyes widen, “Then you know customer satisfaction is highly important, sir. Now please look over it again.”
“I’m telling you the sandwich is fine—
Ada molds her lips together to keep from laughing as the freckled woman sends him a warning look, leaving him to just sigh.
“You’re my kinda girl, Lily-Jo.”
“I wish my sorry son’s father felt the same.”
Oop!
Lily-Jo shrugs it off, “Now for you, Ms. Gorgeous. Tell me what you’re in the mood for. I can tell you’re not a chicken strip kinda girl.”

Lunch at Stetson’s Spur was a great recommendation.
Food wise.
Ledger kept his thoughts to himself when Ada decided on cowboy chop and the noise the man made from the back of his throat sent her stare right on over to him.
He didn’t think it was the best choice but who was he to tell her what to eat?
Unlike Lily-Jo but he didn’t want to get dragged by the large-eyed woman with spotted freckles, that were shaped like the chocolate chips he saw on a stack of pancakes which were delivered to be table behind him.
Ledger knew how pork never agreed with Ada but here she was tearing up the applesauce covered meat.
He still ordered a sandwich, which was different from what he originally requested but he still found himself pleased especially when he took his last bite.
His hips lifted up, feeling his phone buzz from his side pocket of his jeans.
A FaceTime call from no other than Tyon.
“Brooo!” Tyon greeted, “You out right now?”
Ledger dabs his mouth with a napkin nodding, “Yeah man, I’m on my way out to Jackson with you know who.”
He flips the lens to Ada who’s sucking at the bone, staring off at the decor until she picks up on Tyon’s voice.
“Damn little lady,” Tyon jokes, “You sure can put it away.”
With her full cheeks she gives him the finger, muttering out a dry, “Hi, Tyon.”
He mocks her in the same manner, “Hey, Ada.”
Everyone at the table laughs.
Ledger chats with Tyon for a few more minutes before they say their goodbyes and that they’ll catch up later.
When the bill comes, it’s a debate as usual.
“You paid for the gas.” Ada expresses, bookbag already opened in her lap, “I can pay for lunch.”
“I’m not asking you to.” Ledger doesn’t look up from his wallet, counting out the bills, and pushing her fingers that hold her card out the way, “Put that back.”
“We can split it.”
“No, Ada. I got it.”
“I’ll pay the tip.”
Ledger knows she’s not gonna let it go.
“Fine.”
“Imma give our girl a real generous one.”
Ledger snickers, “You done found yourself a new bestie in a whole other city to tag team me with.”
“That’s riiight.”
When they bid their farewells to Lily-Jo who wishes them well on their road trip, Ledger and Ada decide to walk through the small downtown area for a bit.
Ramsay hadn’t called yet but Ledger figured they could walk the food off for a little before heading back in the auto body shop’s direction.
Ledger and Ada just walked out of a book shop that kinda reminded Ada of The Paper Spine back home. Very witchy and darker toned compared to The Paper Spine’s, which was surprising due to learning that Lander had strong catholic views.
The book shop also has a small vinyl collection that only consisted of punk-rock music, that Ada was open to looking through and even saved some band names for later in her notes app.
The gothic worker shared with the friends that because the strictly religious people in town viewed things that didn’t align with them as “demonic,” it was exactly why he decided to open up this place, sharing that all darkness wasn’t exactly evil. It just held a different shade.
“Are the mutt and blackie following us boys?!”
That has both friends heads lifting in the direction of the same people from Stetson’s.
It was three of them.
The one that spoke in the middle had his hand on his belt buckle that had to be from winning some rodeos and was on the bigger side in weight. His beard was thick and hung down to his chest.
“Fuck are you talking to?” Ada doesn’t hold hold her tongue.
Which earns a laugh from the homely men.
They all wore fancy cowboy hats, one she’s seen her ex—Jhonny proudly parade around in when they lived in Austin for a short while.
Jhonny was no rodeo boy.
The younger one of the three stood to the left of the man who eats too many pies, had to be no more than fifteen, was lanky and is the definition of the product of his failed environment.
He had to clear his cracked voice box to jeer, “Look at that, the n****r knows words, pop!”
They laugh again.
Ledger’s tosses an arm over Ada’s shoulder, keeping her tight against his torso but his own blood is boiling hot.
“I know a lot more than just words you racist sons of bitches.”
The other, who’s much taller than the two, muscular, and carries a toothpick in between his thin lips sends her a gap toothed grin, “You got a whole lotta mouth for a sapphire. Gotta keep your bitch on a leash better, mutt.” He spits at Ledger then flicks his eyes back to a fuming Ada, “Outta hog-tie you up and put your black ass to work on the ranch, like the good ‘ol days.”
“Oh yeah? This ain’t the 1800’s no more paste walker but since you’re lookin’ for a problem, C’mon then, let me see you try—
She waves her fingers at them and Ledger only tightens his hold more on her, beginning to turn her elsewhere.
It takes great strength to get her to move.
“That’s right, get! Your kind ain’t never welcome here!” The older of the three yells.
Ada turns right around to be met with Ledger’s chest, he stares down at her hard, jaw clenched as he squeezes at her shoulders, “Go Ada. Now.”
Her brows start to dig together but she sees the same emotion swimming in Ledger’s own lighter eyes.
His chest rising and falling in anger.
“Fuck ‘em.” Ledger grits, struggling to keep his calm, “Don’t feed their rotten ignorance more than they need.”
𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎.
The walk back to Ramsay’s isn’t quiet.
It’s heavy like trudging through quicksand.
Ada’s walking in front of Ledger while he periodically keeps checking over their shoulder’s.
He bumps right into her since he missed her stopping in her tracks.
His attention briefly on making sure that they weren’t being followed.
Ada sucks her teeth, not at Ledger necessarily bumping into her, her thumbs holding underneath the straps of her backpack.
He encouraged, “Keep moving.”
“I can’t believe you made us walk away.”
“What?” Ledger moves to stand beside her instead.
Ada chomps on her gum since her nerves are out of whack at the moment.
“Why do we always have to be the bigger people when we’re constantly disrespected? It’s always about race because THEY made it about race from the very fucken beginning.”
Ledger nods.
“I know.”
“You should’ve let me—
“No.” Ledger’s eyes darken along with his nostrils flaring, “Don’t go there. It was three of them. The older one had a gun on ‘im but you missed that. I want us to get home. Understand that.”
There’s a lump in Ada’s throat that she struggles to swallow.
The fatigue comes in around the anger.
She walks around Ledger.
He follows with his hands in his pockets and shoulders squared.
The energy is off, this Ramsay can tell when he puts out his cigarette. He even asks if things are alright when he goes over payment with Ledger, eyes moving from Ada who gets into the passenger seat instead with a harsh slam.
Ledger’s polite although a little forced in his response, eyes tight at the corners, even if his words kinda give him away.
He doesn’t quiz if Ada’s ready, her gaze locked out on the right side of the window, knee bouncing, already buckled in.
Ledger reverses off the lot after a deep sigh.
Safe to say: Dubois and Togwotee Pass was a blur on both parts.
[~JACKSON, 1:47pm]
The space in between Ada’s shoulders rest against the cruiser as she stands in the parking lot.
Ledger’s got the trunk open, already pulling out the luggage while Ada peers out at the view.
Jackson felt like those breath-taking landscapes that gets set as your desktop background.
The longer she stared out at the vibrant emerald green mountains and got a whiff of some wildflowers somewhere…it felt similar to her giving her stress ball a good squeeze.
Emotions didn’t just vanish but the art of seeing this, embracing this part of the world, helped just a smidge.
Ada and Ledger both bring their things in, in hopes of checking in a little early.
With a thirty minute wait in the lobby, the hotel clerk calls them back over with a room with double beds, and two keys.
The seminar was at 4 so that gave Ledger time to freshen up.
He took the bed closest to the door.
Ada doesn’t comment, just sprays the beds down—his too—before pulling the covers back and silently checking for cameras.
“I’m gonna shower…unless you want to go first?”
Ledger already knew Ada planned on not attending the seminar with him but he was still a gentleman about their travels.
Ada lightly shakes her head, a yawn ripping through her as she fought to catch it, sitting up against the headboard, she waves her hand at him.
“Go for it. I can wait.”
Her stare meets his before her attention turns back to the digging of her phone.
Ledger turns on the TV, then starts digging through his suitcase.
A smile appears on Ada’s face with Roman sending her text updates with Mablean.
The most recent was a photo of Roman crouched down, arm wrapped around her neck, peace sign up, while Mable was in the process of licking his face.
From: Ro
mable wants to know if her mom made it?
To: Ro
mama made it but at what cost?
A question mark is sent right on the corner of that text. Ada knows Roman would want to know what’s going on and she would respond—she just needed more time to decompress.
Inside the bathroom, the shower’s been running, steam fogging up the room but Ledger is still outside of the shower, hands making the edge of the modern shaped sink creak at the pressure.
His restraint could come down now that he was alone.
The silence between them weighed more than the flat tire ever had. For the first time since leaving Laramie, Ledger didn’t know how to steer them forward.
Ada’s apparently fallen asleep by the time Ledger is ready to go.
Ever the light sleeper, he stands over her, hand out ready to touch her thigh but her eyes peel open.
“I’m gonna head out…It’s supposed to be for three hours…” Ledger trails off.
She has wired earphones in her old iPod nano but she nods anyway, answering the lingering question after that.
She’ll be okay on her own.
Then they separate.
𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎.
It’s after eight pm by the time Ledger gets back to the hotel room.
The seminar was all that Ledger hoped it to be.
Influential.
He networked with a few chefs, social media marketing people, and other business owners afterwards but soon felt the need to get back.
To Ada.
Except he’s met with an empty hotel room and ajar bathroom door.
Ledger stands in between the beds, picking up the notepad to read Ada’s handwriting.
Wanted to see what Jackson’s nightlife is like. Come find me later if you’re up for it. —A, no PLL.
‘The hell is PLL?’
Ledger thinks to himself.
Premier lacrosse league?
He pulls out his phone to ask Siri.
Ohhh.
Pretty little liars.
That show Ada wanted him to binge watch with her on Sunday’s.
Instead they settled on: Married at first sight.
Ledger breathes out a laugh through his nostrils, tossing the notepad onto the stand and locates the Find My Friends app.

This is the part of the film where things turn into a musical.
Ada had no intentions of entering a bar that had open mic night.
She was working on her second whiskey when one of the owner’s is back on stage, almost pleading for anyone to come on up after an amateur comedian basically got boo’ed off the stage.
The last thing Ada needed was that but the booze kept the shyness away as her finger went up in the air to signal she’ll do something.
The white light was bright and thankfully the sound man off in the dark of the corner switches over to a more yellow hue and aimed the light lower.
She gives him a thumbs up, still holding onto her whiskey as the bar’s music lowered.
“Hey, I’m Ada. Just a Wyoming woman.”
That earned some whoops from some.
Clearly tipsy.
Ada covers her snort into the mic but thanks them anyway.
“I came all the way out here from Laramie and it’s been a damn day I can’t even lie,” she spills into the mic before taking a sip of the brown liquor, “And since this stage is piling with dust and my heart’s kinda big, I think I can help this place out for a night.”
Claps of support fill the air.
“So I’m gonna get on with it, I promise. I’ve got this new song that I’ve been working on—it’s called a siren’s call. I left my guitar in the hotel room but thankfully I have a demo, shout-out to Kevin.”
She steps back from the mic, doing brief vocal warm ups, then signals for the sound man to let the instrumental play.
𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎. ˖°𓇼⋆ 𖤓 。𖦹°‧ ⋆☀︎.
Ledger enters Timberline Tap, phone still in his hand with his eyes expecting to find Ada at the counter of the bar.
The place is pretty packed and the muffled music from outside is much more clearer as Ledger is now shut in with the rest of the guests.
Slowly he steps forward, making his way over to the bar tables where some sit and a few other faces stand by the stage.
Treading water
Sink or swim (sink or swim)
Holding my breath
Diving in, oh
Ooh, sirens callin'…
It’s Ada standing center stage in front of a mic, eyes closed and hand gripping tightly onto a square glass.
Ledger had heard Ada sing a hundred different songs over the years. Some covers and originals. Somehow, this one felt like the first time he’d truly heard where she’d been.
Ledger stands amongst the crowd, hands clasping in front of him as he really listens to what’s left.
Her eyes open, scanning the crowd that’s formed and tuned in.
So I pray and I pray
Lord, you keep me awake when the sirens are calling my name…
Then she carefully steps back, trying to gauge reactions with a flick of worry but that applause that hits has her sharply exhaling in relief.
Not at the validation.
At being heard.
A beam of a smile spills out onto her face, her hand going up to her chest in thanks, she even gives a curtesy, earning a laugh from Ledger in the crowd who’s also clapping along.
Her eyes find his.
She pauses but her smile seems to match her eyes even harder now.
Ada gets off the stage meeting Ledger in the middle.
His arms easily lock around her, slightly swaying them from side to side.
The claps don’t subside but they get quieter to Ada in Ledger’s arms.
His chin rests down on top of her hair.
His lips are at her ear when the owner gets back on stage with a screech, “Ten outta ten, Ada. Like I knew it would be.”
She pulls back to stare up at Ledger, the smile never leaving her face as she playfully shoves him back—shut up, know it all—basically is a what that shove is for.
“Give it up for Ada one more time!” The owner of Timberline Tap yells into the mic.
Without asking, Ledger gently lifted the whiskey from her hand and set it on a nearby table. Ada doesn’t reach for it back. Her eyes roll but the smile stays.
Ada waves at everyone one last time then leaves to retrieve her phone, thanking the praise from the sound man and for him helping her out tonight.
Then she slips underneath Ledger’s awaiting arm, her arm resting along his waist as they walk out into Jackson’s night.
Tomorrow they’d eventually make it to Florida, with more miles beneath them. Wyoming had given them its beauty, its bruises, its laughter, and, somehow, a song.
A/N: Yeah I’m as pissed as everyone else is about this recent news. Low-key felt it coming with the whole baby storyline but also HATE that we won’t get to explore Kev in fatherhood. Lots of emotions to be felt especially since we won’t get a whole season of him either. Will definitely keep supporting LaRoyce elsewhere ofc. Anyways! Let’s make this happy even if this may flop.
PROMPTS ARE FROM HERE + HERE & I’m using: STRAWBERRY: For A to pick a basket of strawberries for B. Better yet, for the couple to go picking strawberries together. + 17. pastel skies and paperback love + 19. I forgave the summer for being brief—because it gave me you.

“You know we’re just doin’ this for fun right?” Kevin calls out to you, not far from where you sat in the strawberry field, “the last thing we need is anybody getting sick because people aren’t being compensated to do their jobs. And don’t let me catch you or “Yaya” sneaking some behind my back either.”
A scoff immediately escapes you as you look up and over at your husband from underneath your mountain of a fro, your eldest child, Yara, pulling at the leaves in between you.
As if this wasn’t his idea back in June when the summer first hit.
Things can change…but you always preferred to see things through.
“Oh. Are we being monitored, officer?”
Kevin dips his head as he lightly rolls the stroller that contains your youngest back and forth in front of him, “That’s right. Last i checked, berries wasn’t on the list of safe fruits right now. Matter of fact, I should call up a health inspector in this city to come through.”
“Don’t.” You hiss, pushing off your ankles (knowing you’ll regret that later) to get to your feet, “Start nothing, Kevin Ladell Atwater. We’re on vacation.”
In Carlsbad, California to be exact.
It was between here and Florida to be honest. Kevin wasn’t big on flying—he even considered driving but you persuaded that it would be somewhat easier with an antsy five year old and a clingy, yet sensitive two year old to just hop on a flight.
Which was easy for you to say, considering you had six years experience being a flight attendant once upon a time.
Kevin blinks, “So that means I gotta stop doing my duty as a husband and a father?”
“Here you go.” You mutter, dusting remains of grass off the back of your thighs, then bend to pick up the crate of red berries you collected, making your way to the middle to see your five year old’s progress, “Wow, Yaya! You have mommy beat. Good job, pretty girl.”
The perfect combination of you and Kevin grins right up at you, though the gummy smile belongs entirely to her father. Her two coarse puffs were full and reached towards the softening sun.
“Tanks, mommy!” She says in her high-pitched tone, bouncing on her feet.
Kevin chims in, “Yeah, you’re doing real well, peanut. Just remember what daddy said, no bite until clean.”
With the crate in one of your hands and balancing it against your hip you send the man a warning look before gently resting a hand down on Yaya’s shoulder.
This was not the time to ruin the vibe—even if you knew Kevin had the right to be concerned with all these recalls and virus outbreaks because of the food lately.
You just wanted to create memorable experiences for your kids even if Kevin was definitely being a typical dad about it all.
“Tell daddy this isn’t Halloween.” You whisper down to Yaya, who turns to repeat back to the brown skinned man.
Kevin looks up from his now pulled out phone at you two, “I know what season it is. And I don’t regret checking all the candy either. My mom checked mine back in the day, so imma do the same for as long as we go trick or treatin’.”
He was right.
People could be so vile.
You definitely remember one of your cousins biting into a blade when you were around eleven. Which turned you away from chocolate for good.
Can we say trauma?
“And stay eating up all the best candy too.” You tease, helping Yaya pick up her mini basket and making sure she could hold it properly.
Kevin lightly shrugs, “Sharing is caring.”
You roll your eyes, puffing out a laugh as you and your five year old meet Kevin and your sleeping baby boy, Azari.
As the Atwater family you’ve spent a nice amount of time out and about today, peeking to see what time it is on Kevin’s phone before nudging your head that you were ready to call it.
Kevin does a U-turn with the stroller, pocketing his phone, then takes the small basket from Yaya to rest along the top of the stroller. Once it was balanced enough, he spreads his fingers out, reaching down to hold Yaya’s hand and steering the stroller with the other.
It’s the perfect picture.
As if you haven’t taken loads since you arrived on the property but nonetheless, Kevin stops at the right moment, encouraging Yaya to, “Look at mommy for the thousandth time today and say cheese,” to add more to your photos of adventure.
Smiling softly at the capture, you dip your head, shoving your phone back into your olive cargo shorts, then spin around, hiking the carton of strawberries up against your hip and lead the way through the fields towards the main shop.

When you get back to the Airbnb, it’s teamwork getting Yaya and a fussy, “Zari,” bathed and into bed. By the time you finished exploring the strawberries and checking out the shop, you spent over fifteen minutes inside of the rental car trying to pick a spot to have dinner, with a suddenly awakened Zari letting you both know how he truly felt about it.
The boy could put you two through it.
It was always a case of terrible two’s (before he even arrived two years around the sun) with the kid…but of course you didn’t love him any less.
So you claimed…
That’s a joke y’all!
Promise.
Didn’t mean Zari never had the power to tire you out though.
Kevin managed to talk him down calmly as always when you couldn’t get through to him.
Once Kevin let you know Zari was finally down, he told you he was finally gonna jump in the shower, leaving you on the balcony as you tended to your scrap book with pastel orange sickle skies.
You’d be lying if you said you didn’t start to doze off…even with the mocktail you concocted to give you a bit of strength to take on the battle that is bedtime for the kids.
Crickets chirped into the warm evening while the breeze carried hints of ocean spray and cedar.
Although you’ve moved away from Chicago to Ohio going on about six months now, it always felt good to get away. Without constantly worrying about the fear of starting over. To go where no one knows your name or your story, becoming just another face in a relaxed but lively town.
And you weren’t doing it alone.
You built a whole family you weren’t sure you’d ever have.
But you did.
They were yours.
You’re awakened by the touch of his fingertips.
Heat.
Delicate.
Before they’re firm enough to grip your bare thigh.
Kevin had to make sure that you always knew he was there.
Which apparently included squeezing your meat because Jill Scott said something about it once…or at least that’s how Kevin interpreted it.
Your eyes slowly peel open to your husband gently taking your tortoise glass away from you to place far from your ajar scrapbook.
Sitting up straight so you don’t get a further crick in your neck, you lean back, peeking up at the handsome man who’s grinning down at you.
“Uh huh, Caught you Slippin’ like you always do me.” He speaks, smelling of fresh soap and a pinch of musk while he takes a seat beside you on the edge of the outdoor furniture.
His elbows dig into his knees, holding onto the baby monitor while glancing at the tablet which stood on the table behind the scrapbook you were working on. It had the view of both Yara sleeping in a twin sized bed, hands locked securely around her stuffed sheep, Sheepa, and Zari was also resting in toddler made bed near by.
“It’s only one picture in there. Specifically on the plane when you swore you weren’t gonna fall asleep.” You inform with a croak, resting one arm along the top of the two-seater as you peer at the back of Kevin, humor still in your tone.
Kevin gives you a flat look over his shoulder, “You know blackmailing an officer is a serious offense, don’t you?”
Breathing out a laugh as your response, you keep your head propped up against your hand.
Soon Kevin decides to lean back and you don’t hesitate to make room for him.
His head rests against your collarbone, your fingertips move around his head to run your fingers from the facial hair on his jaw up to his temple repeatedly.
He’s studying the view while you’re taking in the weight of him.
Then he shifts to rest his ear lower, against your chest.
He listens.
Kevin picks up on the rhythmic drumming and it’s sudden racing.
“You good?” He leans back, brown hues meeting yours.
Your hand finds his cheek, steering him back to your chest, shushing him and Kevin can’t help but to smirk.
“I still got it don’t I?”
A roll of your eyes can’t help but to be present.
“I felt that.” Kevin points out, not having to lift his head once more.
You laugh because of course he did.
Then he’s moving again, sitting up and cupping your cheek.
He’s tugging your mouth to his and you swear it’s new years again.
You meet his pace.
Slow yet passionate at first.
You’re gripping his bicep.
He’s leaning further into you that you’re nearly pressed back against the pillows along the arm of the chair.
Kevin tastes like what a husband should.
Devoted.
And then he does that little humming bit that has you breaking away to catch your breath, although you feel something else throb.
His forehead knocks against yours.
“Man…if I wasn’t so tired, I’d take you right here on this couch.”
You bite back a grin, nodding and having the same desire.
“I know…” you peck his lips but he doesn’t let you pull back, making sure his plump lips linger.
They always do.
“I love you.” You breathe Kevin in before reassuring, “I had fun today.”
Kevin chuckles, watching you continue to fight to keep your eyes open. “Even with my, imaginary berry laws?”
Words you threw at him when he put the vinegar soaking berries in the sink; then underneath some forensic blue lights that you were not aware he packed.
“Even then.”
He pulls back to press a kiss to your forehead, “Good. Glad to know you still luh me especially when I’m on your nerves.”
“Ain’t much of a secret, Mr. Atwater.”
“Clock this—as you say: I love you too, Mrs. Atwater.”
“I know.”
“I know you know.” Kevin answers, “I just want you to hear it for the rest of your life.”
A smile stretches across your face until you’re lying against each other.
Kevin knows you should both head inside before the night fully takes over, but he can’t help relishing the tiny fire still burning in your chest.
Even after all this time.
Your bodies seem to react to small bouts of intimacy.
Kevin Atwater wouldn’t dare complain.

Returning back to life in Ohio…
To routine.
To embracing quality time.
To supporting each other’s careers.
To parenting.
To checking in with oneself and coming back as one…
The days tend to blend together, sometimes in a blur, sometimes in dread, and often times of joy…
YOU LEARN TO FORGIVE SUMMER FOR BEING BRIEF, as you lovingly watch the man you chose, bond with the two little lives you created together as soon as he got home on the floor of your shared living room.
Kevin definitely feels the burn of your stare while he held a giggling Yaya up in the air, pretending to drop her towards him so he can repeatedly tackle her face with kisses.
When his arms get tired and Yaya busies herself playing with her little brother close by, Kevin lounges on the rug, teeth over his bottom lip in thought as he watches the two for a bit until he meets your stare from the open concept kitchen.
Summer was fading…
Yet Kevin’s doe eyes said the same thing as yours.
Life gave him you.
It had been just as generous to you.
So he’ll take every season for what it is.
He matches your smile from across the home.
No hesitation.

Summary: In which you go on a well known podcast and admit that you have feelings for your dream man Tyriq Withers which takes an romantic twist when you two finally meet at an award ceremony.🤍
"I feel a little rush I think I got a little crush on you I hope it's not too much but boy, when I'm with you, I hear it my heart singing la, la, la, la, la♡"
The neon pink studio lights circulated a soft glow on the bronze golden set as you where seated across from one of the most well known woman in the black hollywood industry.
Keke Palmer
She grew quit found of you and was intrigued with your work which is why she had invited you on her most popular podcast series "Baby, this is Keke palmer" and plus she thought you where really beautiful and you where in complete awe because you had always been a huge fan of her growing up.
Plus you where also really nervous because you knew that podcast series like her's would either boost you're career up or shut it down completely.
But all that nervousness you were feeling was thrown out the window completely when Keke welcomed you with opened arms and made you feel at home immediately.
She gave you the big sister treatment due to you being much younger than her, she saw you as a little sister and it was very wholesome between the two of you.
Dress in comfortable attire you where wearing a baby pink juicy couture tracksuit, a baby ombre pink lip combo and gold jewelry while you're hair was styled in a jet black bussdown.
Keke had adjusted her mic, while being simply impress with your charming personality and sense of humor. As she gets ready to ask you another question.
"Now Y/N, my next question for you is who are you crushing on at the moment or dating?" Keke says with a smirk plastered on her face putting you on the spot.
You didn't hesitate to let out a loud gasp as your mouth hangs open to form an "O" shape as Keke chuckles at you're facial expression.
"Keke you are soo messy for asking me this question like" you say covering your face with your manicured hands.
"Well girl can you blame me? You too pretty not to be on somebody's wallpaper Now tell me is he famous?" Keke exclaims while curiosity is taking over her demeanor.
You scoot up close to the mic nervously as you prepare to confirm your answer immediately. "They gon' get me on twitter if I say his name, but my crush is Tyriq" You say quitely into the mic as you squeal in embarrassment.
Now it's Keke's turn to be completely shock as her jaw drops as you confrim the man that you indeed have a crush on.
"You have a crush on Tyriq Withers?!, Damn girl I ain't new you had it in you like that!" Keke exclaims
You nod you're head as you let out a quite "Mhm" trying not to laugh at Keke's silly enthusiasm. "Yeah, I like him"
"Aww look at her over there blushing up a storm how cute" Your publicist Mariah teasingly cooes at you from the set.
"Not my publicist being messy too! Next thing you know she's going to be posting this all over her PS profile on Reddit" you playfully say while Keke brusts out into laughter.
"Girl you got it bad for him don't you?" Keke says while grinning.
"And do" you say in a sassy manner "First off have you watched his new horror flim HIM? It's soo good"
"You talking about that new movie he's staring in with Marlon Wayans I haven't seen it yet but I heard it's good" Keke says
"Keke you gotta go watch it's soo good! I went to the movies to watch it with my friends and let me say it's 10 out of 10 truly transcending the game, he's transcending the game right now" you say in excitement as you praise Tyriq for his good acting, fangirling on the spot.
"Well the way you all hyped up and geeked I might as well go watch it y'know I love me some Marlon Wayans" Keke says sarcastically.
You pulled your phone out of your pocket as you unlock it to go straight to you're camera roll to pull up a picture from one of you're favorite scenes from the movie.
It was a picture you took in the movie theater with a shirtless Tyriq on the screen with the dark red light cascading on him as a smirk of animosity plastered on his face.
"Not you pulling out the recipes, can we get the generous camera man to zoom in on the photo please" Keke speaks into her mic while giggling historically as you hold you're phone out for the camera to see.
You smiled widely while proudly showing off the picture that damn near had you jumping out of you're seat all while tapping your acrylic nail against the phone screen aggressively.
"Do y'all see this?! Do y'all see how scrumptiously fine this man is?! It's ridiculous he's soo sexy!" You started to swoon over how good Tyriq looked in the HIM movie with how fine he looked in general and all Keke could do was laugh and nod in agreement.
"Like I'm telling my kids that this was the mona lisa the mona Riq at that!" You say confidently which caused Keke and the crew members on set to brust out into laughter with your silly antics.
"Girl you is something else! You is so damn funny" Keke says in between her laughter while covering her face.
"Thank you!" You say while scrolling on the next photo you took from the movie theater this time it was a photo of his glistening back with his gold layered chains rested in between his back muscles.
You stared at you're phone screen while running your tongue against your teeth while you held you're phone out again. "Another one thank you" you playfully say.
"Not you having another picture in you're phone, girl how many pictures of this man you got?!" Keke questions you jokingly.
"Maybe five or six pictures" you say quietly feeling some what guilty until you and Keke brust out into laughter with one another as you both stick your tongues out together.
"Girl you know that Tyriq is my close and personal friend right?" Keke mentions calming down from her laughter.
You paused and gave her a firm serious look "Are you serious Keke?"
"Yes I'm serious me and Tyriq are besties, like damn I wish you would've told me sooner I could've slipped him you're number and got you two together!" Keke exclaims seriously.
You scratched the back of you're head as you twisted your lip "yeah probably should of never waited til the last minute" you quitely say in a shy manner
"Yeah and now you over here just now saying you like him and shit c'mon now Y/N when us ladies see a fine ass man we are interested in you shoot yo shot immediately!" Keke says pointing directly to you while fussing.
"Yes I know Keke I'm sorry" you say giggling with you're head hung low.
"Have you and Tyriq met in person before?" Keke questions you
"No we haven't met each other before but I did heard one time we was at the same event but I didn't get a chance to see him" you say frowning a little.
"Aww well don't get discouraged baby you gonna meet your man eventually, Tyriq if your watching this right now come holla at my girl!" Keke speaks loudly into the mic
"Hello!! He can come Holla at me anytime he wants he's soo fine!" You spoke into your mic as you licked your lips while thinking about him.
"Yeah most definitely! He's a handsome young man for sure" Keke says chuckling "Well Y/N it was certainly a pleasure having you on my podcast, I'm wishing you noting but blessings and more opportunities along the way and congratulations on you're new flim keep on being the beautiful star that you are" Keke says while giving you a friendly smile
You placed an hand over you're chest as you smiled widely at Keke's heartflet message towards you "Thank you so much for having me Keke the pleasures all mine I'm grateful!" You say as you get up out of you're seat and share a sisterly hug with Keke as the cameras cut.
As you gathered all of your belongings as you walked out of the building with your team and security. You couldn't help but notice that your notifications had been going off nonstop since the podcast had ended.

Tyriq with his easy peezy lemon squeezy ass somewhere giggling kicking his feet together while watching this podcast
You couldn't help but to laugh at all the funny tweets and memes that where plastered on you're timeline.
The news was spreading out on every social media platform and news articles that you could think of so there's no doubt that Tyriq wouldn't be able to see the video clip of you thristing over him which you where highly embarrassed of.
They call him the chronically online king and internet boyfriend for a reason.
And now here you where getting shipped with the man you found yourself to fall head over heels for intentionally.
You smiled to yourself widely at the thought of finally coming into contact with your crush soon.
You where in you're dressing room, with you're phone buzzing across the vanity table with endless notifications from left to right.
You're name has been trending nonstop at every social media platform you could think of from that viral moment of your podcast interview with Keke.
You and Tyriq where the topic of every conversation and even having dating allegations with the man.
You're PR team have been debating weather they wanted to media train you or not because they didn't want to make it seem like you where allegedly thristy for every fine nigga that steps into the hollywood scene which that wasn't the case exactly.
You we're just openly honest that you where attracted to Tyriq and ever since then you haven't made no appearances because of every thing that was going on, overstimulated you to a certain amount.
Which was parasocial fans and haters to be exact who didn't want you with Tyriq.
They mostly wanted other famous girls to be with him because they thought you where too much and you couldn't give a single fuck about that.
But you can admit that it kind of hurted your feelings a little knowing that a specific fandom was being real colorist and shady towards you and you where sensitive to those type of content.
As of now you're makeup artist was finishing the last final touches to you're makeup as you answered your facetime call to your best friends Chloé and Quen.
Tonight was the night that that academy award gala was taking place and you where getting dolled up to make your first appearance since your viral interview with Keke.
"Girl lighten up and don't worry about what them jobless ass bitches on the internet say they just jealous" Quen spoke as she was in her dressing room as well getting ready for the event
"Right and on top of that you might run into that sexy man tonight that you were feenin for" Chloe teased with a smirk on her face that caused you to grin on your own
"Shut up Chloe" you softly say still grinning as you know hold your phone in your hands
"What I'm just telling you the truth hon, Tyriq gonna flip the fuck out when he sees how gorgeous you look" Chloe exclaims excitedly
"If that we even meet each other I ain't trynna get my hopes up too high but I appreciate the delusion" you said
"Girl whatever" Chloe rolls her eyes playfully at you
"Guys I have to go, I have to finish getting ready I'll see y'all at the event love you both" you say to your two best friends
"Love you too" Chloe and Quen both say is unison as you ended the facetime call
The flashing beaming lights of the paparazzi flared your peripheral vision as you step foot onto the red carpet as the people behind the cameras where in complete awe of your beauty.
You smiled sweetly and nervously at the cameras as you turned around to do your signature model poses, while serving face and body turning into model mode immediately.
After you where done taking your pictures, your dress was flowing behind you as you walked towards the interviewers to do some interviews.
You walked over to do an interview with a lady that was journaling for culted magazine flashing her your signature gummy smile.
"Hi Y/N don't you look beautiful!, Tell me what are you wearing tonight at this gala ceremony" The reporter compliments you in a polite manner
"Thank you so much! I'm wearing this beautiful silky dress gown that's somewhat is creamed colored, my stylist Law Roach had costimated for me with sliver bvlgari jewelry to match" you cheerfully say while explaining the look you where wearing tonight
As you were properly getting interviewed, talking about you're latest movie that just been released in theaters and your next upcoming projects you could feel somebody sneaking up behind you and felt a soft pear of hands caressing gently on your shoulders.
You turned around all confused to see the anonymous person that just so happened to creep up on you to crash your interview but your confusion was placed with endless excitement as you gasped at the tall lethal man standing in front of you.
It was your crush Tyriq Withers smiling widely at you his pearly whites invading your vision once and for all, he was dressed down in an all black suit with black slacks to match.
He looked so fucking dreamy and handsome you could have either fainted right then and there or have screamed to the top of your lungs either one.
You squealed in happiness and excitement jumping up and down as Tyriq reciprocated the energy as you flew into his arms as you gave each other a friendly but sensual hug.
"Oh my gosh Hiii Tyriq!! It's so finally nice to meet you, you look so handsome!!" You say in a friendly manner while being flustered and taking him in to admire his appearance.
"Thank you!, it's nice to meet you as well I see that we're both coordinating in a way it's like I'm the devil and your the angel on my shoulder" Tyriq says while referring to your white dress which cause you to shyly look away from him.
"Oh no Tyriq I'm pretty sure you're the angel" you say staring deeply into his pretty ocean blue eyes slowly finding yourself getting lost in them.
"No i mean it Y/N you're the angel you look absolutely stunning, I hope to see you around tonight" Tyriq says while scanning you down from head to toe and walks off as he starts to do interviews of his own
"I hope to see you tonight as well Tyriq!" You called out to him as your heart starts to beat rapidly fast
You could still smell his cologne scent and still feel his presence around you despite him not being near you anymore, Tyriq just had that type of aura that you couldn't resist or put a paint on just quit yet.
But all you knew that you where falling in love with him all over again as you found yourself swooning over him.
"This man does something to me that I simply can't explain I need him to be mine tonight" You thought to herself whilst smiling.
The event had just gotten started not too long ago and everyone where having a good time getting to know one another with music playing in the background.
You where talking among you're peers while sipping champagne in a fancy wine glass, you and Coco Jones where chatting it up precisely where she didn't hesitate to bring up the specific elephant in the room.
"So I heard that you finally gotten the chance to meet your boo thang" Coco exclaims teasingly while sipping her champagne
You chocked on you're saliva as you gotten all shy again "Yes I guess you can say that, he's soo sweet and so handsome up close Coco" you say getting flustered all over again
"Girl I'm telling you I would've did the same shit with Damson Idris fine ass, too bad Lori Harvey greedy ass got to him first" Coco says while sarcastically giving the woman across the room a side eye
You chuckled lightly as you took another sip of you're champagne as your eyes fixated on Tyriq as he was engaged in a conversation with Coleman Domingo and his other male peers.
Coco noticed you're attention is drawn to Tyriq again and breaks the ice "Look girl if you really want that man bad than you gonna have to come up outta that shell and snatch him up before another girl does" she encourages you
"Just go over there and tell him how you feel girl!" Coco exclaims
"I can't Coco! It's not as easy as it seems it's complicated he probably watch that podcast and thinks I'm wired anybody would be lucky to end up with him" You said while admiring Tyriq as he smiles and laughs at a joke Miles told him
"Well girl the way he was looking at you on that red carpet I'm pretty sure he thinks you're far from wired and you gotta gon ahead and get you're life together because here he comes now" Coco says with eyeing you down as Tyriq makes his way over to you
"Girl what?!- Wait Coco don't leave!" You yelled out to Coco as she walks away to leave you alone with Tyriq as you awkwardly laugh.
"Hi Y/N nice evening where having at this academy gala right?" Tyriq politely says while smiling down at you as you reciprocate a smile of your own
"Yes it's nice to be in a scenery were we all are celebrating each other!" You say politely as you feel yourself getting hot in your cheeks
Before you and Tyriq can carry on with you're conversation with each other an photographer but into you two in a respectful manner.
"Tyriq and Y/N I see that you two had finally met each other can I get some quit pictures for the camera?" The photographer asks kindly
"Sure that will be fine" Tyriq assures the photographer as you two smile for the camera.
You and Tyriq did some cute and silly poses for the camera as he had leaned down to you're height so you can plant a kiss to his cheek.
And one pose where he was staring into the camera while you where staring up at him with a smile on you're face you two complimented each other well.
After the photographer took a good amount of pictures with you and Tyriq you both told him thank you and gave him a friendly goodbye as he disappeared in the crowd to get more images of celebs at the event.
As of now you and your peers where all dancing together on the dance floor as you all came together to hype up Tyriq that was in the center of the dance circle doing his signature dolphin move.
You had the biggest smile on your face as you where laughing finding his silliness soo adorable and heartwarming.
As the music where fading out Michael Jackson's butterflies came on the stereo which signal everybody to start slow dancing with a special someone.
As you figured that you wouldn't have nobody to dance with and was about to head back to you're seat an familiar voice had stopped you in you're tracks.
"Can I have this dance with you my princess?" Tyriq politely asks you while offering his hand out for you to hold
"Sure I would to have this dance with you my prince charming" you say playing along to Tyriq's enthusiasm as he makes his hands comfortable on you're waist
The two of you stare into each other's eyes deeply as you both get lost into the soothing song that was playing loudly into background.
"I Just wanna touch and kiss and say I wish that I could be with you tonight (you give me) 'Cause you give me butterflies inside, inside and I"
It's like Michael was saying everything you wanted to confirm out to Tyriq cause he was indeed giving you butterflies with the way he was looking at you as you could feel them doing backflips in you're stomach.
"God why does he has to be so handsome with a pretty smile that's my weakness" you thought to yourself as you broke the slience between you two
"Let me guess... You probably saw the podcast I did with Keke right?" You quitely asks as Tyriq throws his head back erupting into laughter as he was now cheesing at you
"Yeah I saw it and I do have to admit it was so fucking funny seeing you droll over me like that but I like when a girl admits to something she wants I find that hot" Tyriq exclaims cheerfully
"Wait so you basically saying that I'm hot for what I did?" You said thrilled as your eyebrows shot up
Tyriq chuckles and nods his head at you as his grip tightend on your waist a little "Yeah I am, most girls wouldn't have the guts to admit out publicly to the guy she wants and you Y/N had just taken me away with that one had me blushing and shit" Tyriq shyly smiles at you
"So he's basically saying that I have a chance with him EEEEKKK!!!" you squealed in happiness in your thoughts as you smiled historically at the flustered boy
Before you could respond to him you felt a stinging sensation in your feet which caused you to hiss in pain. Making Tyriq switch in concern mode instantly
"Woah, are you okay what's wrong?" Tyriq asks with concerness as he stops dancing with you
"Yeah I'm Tyriq it's just these heels I'm wearing killing my feet their so painful" you say with your face twisted up in pain "I just have to go get my flats I bought to the event with me"
"Well there's no need for that" Tyriq said
"Why?" But before you could finish you're sentence Tyriq didn't hesitate to pick you up brutal style as you yelped in amusement and shyness
"You wanna grab a bite to eat and get out of here?" Tyriq questions you
"Yeah I'd love that" you answered softly as you spotted you're friends hyping you up instantly as you winked at them
Tyriq carried you out front from the main entrance as he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed the paparazzi flashed their lights historically at the door.
He whispered directly to you "i'mma need you to lock the fuck in for me okay? The paparazzi are standing outside and we gon have to slide through"
"Okayyyy~" you softly whispered back to him as you melt into his warmth and rest your head on his chest you really didn't care about the paparazzi at the moment you where just happy to finally be in his arms once and for all
Tyriq kicks the door open with his foot as paparazzi's bright flashing cameras invade you and Tyriq's peripheral visions historically as fans started to scream in surprise seeing him holding you into his arms as they all take out there phones to record the moment instantly.
The paparazzi didn't waste no time with spamming you both with questions which neither of you answered. You two just started smiling at each other Tyriq enjoying you being in his arms like the princess you where.
"Oh my god, oh my god! Tyriq and Y/N are together!!" A fan shouted out
"Tyriq and Y/N over here, over here!!" A paparazzi chants
"Tyriq are you letting the public know that Y/N is you're lady? Are you two together?" A news reporter questions
Tyriq gently puts you down as you both walk hand in hand together towards the black SUV that was waiting for you both at the crub.
The paparazzi, news reporters and fans kept on flashing there lights at you both and screaming into a chaos uproar as the SUV drives off safely into the night traffic, flashing lights echoing from miles away now.
You and Tyriq couldn't help but brust into laughter at the chaotic moment that you two just experienced.
"Well that was something else" you snort
"Yeah that was, you okay?" He asks
"Yes I'm fine, You?"
"Yeah I'm more than okay" Tyriq reassures you as he holds your hand and squeezes it tightly as you do the same
And if the night couldn't gotten any better it just had now.
You and Tyriq where having a panic out into the night wilderness in a downtown city park with McDonald's of course the stary sky had set the mood to your oh so lovely date with the boy of your dreams.
"If we get to do this often with escaping award shows early than get free food than count me in" you cheerfully say while taking a bite of your big mac burger
"Literally same trust me it's worth it every time" Tyriq says while chewing on his food
You look up into the sky than back down at Tyriq to admire him mouth harassing his cheeseburger as you giggled slightly.
Tyriq paused mid eating to look at you back while being clueless to see why you where giggling at him "What?"
"Noting, it's just that it's something about you that I can't fathom just yet, I mean you got all the qualities I like in a man and what I'm just trying to say to you is that I like you Tyriq I really do" you say while chuckling and shaking your head
When he didn't respond to you right away that's when you regretted to even admit to your feelings out loudly thinking it was the perfect timing to do so.
"Shit, I'm sorry Tyriq I should've never said that I feel so stupid" you say now embarrassed turning away from him to avoid eye contact until what he said had you speechless
"Don't be sorry Y/N because I feel the same way too" Tyriq confirms confidently
You stare at him in surprise as you question him "Wait you do?!"
Tyriq nods his head while having all his attention on you "Yeah I do how could I not catch feelings when i got the most prettiest girl right here with me eating McDonalds?!, You got all the qualities I like too Y/N you're funny, emotionally intelligent I can tell by watching a lot of your interviews and you're kind all I can say right now is that I like you too"
You didn't now weather to cry or faint at Tyriq's romantic statement towards you but you knew exactly what to do which give him a heartfelt hug as he responds too immediately.
As he pulls away slowly to admire how beautiful you looked underneath the moonlight he slowly leans in to plant a kiss to your lips but before your lips can touch his fireworks had erupted into the sky causing you both to stare in amusement.
"Damn I forgot today was the fourth of july" Tyriq chuckles as you stared to laugh with him
"Yeah me too but my birthday sure is tomorrow" you say admiring the fireworks
"Oh tomorrow you're birthday? Happy early birthday" Tyriq says cheerfully.
"Thank you I'll be twenty-three tomorrow" you shyly admit while chuckling at his cuteness
Tyriq smirks at you while pulling you closer to him "well consider this your early birthday gift then" and with that he kissed you passionately on the lips as you didn't hesitate to kiss him back while the fireworks was still popping out into the night sky
"This has to be the best moment of my life" you thought to yourself as you and Tyriq get lost into each other's eyes as he plants a kiss to your forehead as you rest your head in his chest again
The next morning you woke up with a slight headache that caused you to groan in agony but you started to smile at the memory of the romantic date you had with Tyriq last night.
You decided to grab the remote and turn the TV on but you had gotten caught off guard when you saw you and Tyriq face plastered across the news of entertainment tonight.
"Looks like we have a new it couple of young Hollywood upon us as it has been confirm by TMZ that Tyriq Withers and Y/N are reportly dating!, the two lovebirds where seen leaving together from the academy awards holding hands and fans speculate that they are together"

𝓢𝔂𝓷𝓸𝓹𝓼𝓲𝓼: In which after an exhausting week at your job, you and your best friend are invited to a party. And while there, you reconnect with your former classmate.
The loud buzzing noise could get overwhelming at times. But you were never bothered.
Orders and patrons coming in from left to right were now a walk in the park for you. Even though you've only been working at the "Around The Way" Diner for less than a year, 7 months has definitely given you enough time to adapt to the chaos of the food service industry.
"Order up!" You heard as you made a quick dash towards the kitchen counter to collect an order for one of your tables. It was like magic how you were able to get from the kitchen to your table across the diner in less than a minute.
Buzzzz
Checking to see if the coast was clear, you slip into a corner to check your phone. Your first time checking the time in forever.
7:34
"Thank God," you mutter. With the dinner rush winding down, it'd be easy to clean up before clocking out at 8. The phone vibrates again, and you look down at the screen with a small smile.
'Jas 🩷' - Hey Boo! I know you off from work soon. I'll get my usual tonight. I put your laundry on your bed. See u when u get home!! Luv u🥰
You slowly shake your head as you let out a soft chuckle. Thanking God for blessing you with your best friend/roommate. Just the thought of sliding onto the couch next to Jasmine after a long shift made the heavy weight in your shoulders start to melt.
After taking a look around the restaurant, you take a mental note of all of your tasks before clocking out. Nothing too drastic - sweep floors, clean tables, and stock. Hopefully you could get out right at 8.
When 8 o'clock finally came around, every task was complete. And you were ready to get outta there. Taking your employee meal and a meal for Jas, you clocked out and made a beeline for your car.
The car ride home was peaceful. Your body had fully relaxed for the first time that day. But despite the grueling hours and the stressful environment, you admired your own resilience.
Opening your apartment door, you're greeted by the amazing smell of a cookie scented candle Jasmine lit. Walking inside and kicking off your work shoes, you find Jasmine curled up on the couch for her usual binge session of "Love Island."
She instantly smiles from seeing you and jumps up from the couch to greet you in the kitchen. Wrapping her arms around you from behind, you smile and turn around to properly hug her.
"Hey you," you say, with a hint of tiredness in your voice. "How was your day?"
"Better now that you're home! " Jasmine let you go to take in the big bag of food on the counter.
Jasmine had been your best friend since middle school. And you never thought you'd become roommates after graduating college. But yet here you were, bringing her home food from your job, which you've been doing since you got hired there.
Jasmine digs through the contents of the bag before reaching her food. Pulling it out with absolute glee, she digs through the cabinet drawers to grab a fork.
"Girlll, guess what?"
You paused. Usually whenever Jasmine says that, it means she got herself into something. So you were mildly nervous to hear what she was about to say.
"What?" you asked cautiously.
"Asonte invited us to a party tomorrow night." She answered with a grin a mile wide.
The mere mention of her boyfriend Asonte Moore shook your core. To be fair, you really liked Asonte. He was cool, chill and entertaining, and you guys never had problems. The only thing was, he could get rowdy at parties, just like Jasmine. And when you and her went out, you'd have to keep a sharp eye on her to make sure she didn't get too rambunctious.
"And I'm assuming you told him we're coming?" you questioned, with a coy smile on your face. "What if I already made plans to stay inside this weekend? Then what?"
"Girl stop. You're coming whether you like it or not." She answered confidently. "You can't expect me to go by myself."
"Well actually you'll be with Asonte. And whenever I go out to parties with ya'll, I turn into a glorified third wheel, and then you two will ditch me like you always do." You responded bluntly.
Jasmine rolled her eyes and flicked you on the arm.
"Bitch you is a damn lie. We do not ditch you EVERY time!" She laughs lightheartedly and you join in.
"Yeah, a'ight. That's debatable, Jas," you mutter under your breath.
You turn your attention back towards your food. Having not eaten anything since around 9 that morning, you were starving. You grab a fork and start digging into your pasta dish. You don't even catch Jasmine creeping towards you donning a sly smirk.
When you finally look back at her and you're confronted by her face, you instantly get nervous.
"What is it?", you ask nervously.
"Asonte told me Cameron's gonna be there."
Hearing that name made you freeze.
Him. He's gonna be there?
You slowly turn your head to the right to look Jasmine in the eye. With a stern, stoic look on your face and your eyebrows raised.
"Cameron? Cameron Cade?" you question, no longer laughing. "Is you being serious right now, or are you fucking with me?"
"I'm being so deadass right now." Jasmine answers with her smirk now a shit eating grin.
You knew Asonte and Cameron were friends, they had been for a while. Ever since he and Jas started dating a year ago, you had learned many things about Cam through him. But it didn't change the connection you two had made prior to that. And considering it's been a month since graduation and you still haven't heard from him, let alone seen his face, it was making you feel a type of way.
"Apparently Cam is just like you. He don't go out to parties much anymore. So I figured this'll be one helluva function if they got him pulling up." Jasmine says casually.
You scoff. "Why do I feel like there's a catch here?" you ask, narrowing your eyes at her and leaning against the counter.
It almost felt too good to be true. Seeing the guy you've had a raging crush on since college for the first time in months. Considering you guys weren't in contact of any kind, you didn't know how or what he was doing. But alas, you were too shy to ask him for anything.
"Y/N, listen," Jasmine starts, sounding genuinely serious for once. "I knew Cam would be the only reason you go out with me. For real come on now, you don't think I've seen the way you look at him? I know he on your mind like 24/7."
You throw her a quick glare, before averting your eyes back to your food.
She continues, "Boo, it ain't no secret you like the nigga a'ight? So now, maybe you can drop the bullshit and tell him how you feel."
You finally look up at her. "And how the hell am I supposed to do that Jas? What if he doesn't like me back and I just make myself look stupid?"
As pathetic as it sounded, those were your true thoughts on how you felt. He was only one of the most handsome men you'd ever met.
"Well how will you know he doesn't like you back unless you tell him? Men aren't mind readers Y/N, they don't take hints. Trust me, I know," she replies, playfully rolling her eyes again and nudging you.
You take a minute to think about it. Even though you originally planned to stay in your apartment all weekend, the thought of going out Saturday night and possibly seeing Cam again was growing on you. Usually when you go out you wound up having a good time, regardless if you were left behind by Jas. You were the type of girl who could have fun all by herself. But thinking back to your exhausting week, letting loose was something you had been craving lately.
"Ughhh, fine!" You let out an exaggerated groan, but with a smile pulling at your lips. "I'll go to the stupid ass party okay? You happy now?"
Jasmine throws her arms around you again. "Yayyyyy!!!!" She squeals excitedly. You catch her with your right arm, and use your left arm to grip the counter to steady yourself.
"Jasmine, I swear to God, you better not make me regret this." You mutter under your breath, not knowing if she heard you or not.
But hey, at least you won't be alone. The thought of getting your old college friend group back together was a happy thought. And hey Cameron would be there, maybe you could actually tell him how you feel.
What's the worst that could happen?
"Okay you gonna make a left right here." Jasmine says with her nose in her phone. You were currently following the GPS directions sent by Asonte, who was currently waiting at the house for you both.
You turn left into the entrance of an expensive looking neighborhood. All of the estates were huge, with multiple cars in their driveways. Figures, you weren't surprised considering Asonte came from a fairly wealthy family. And thanks to him, you and Jas have been dragged to pretty lavish out of control house parties.
"Are we getting close Jas?" you ask as you continue driving straight.
"Yeah, it should be one of the last houses on the left," she answered, typing away on her phone.
After what feels like an eternity, you finally spot several cars parked outside a house. You could hear the music from your car.
"Ugh, finally," Jas said, looking up from her phone. She scans the small crowd of people gathered outside to look for Asonte. Meanwhile you look for a parking spot, luckily finding an empty space nearby.
After climbing out of the car, you look in the windows and check your outfit. You'd dressed in something simple, but cute. The dress beautifully hugged your curves, even though you brought a jacket to cover your chest just in case, you felt secure. You had styled your thick curly hair into two perfect afro puffs.
"Y/N what are you lookin at? You don't gotta worry bout nothin bae, you look amazing." Jas says with pure clarity. She probably caught the face you were making. She always catches your faces when your mood changes.
"Come on, let's go find 'Te." She takes your hand and you both head towards the house.
It doesn't take long to find Asonte Moore. The man definitely has a way of making his presence known. It didn't help that he was tall, so you both easily caught wind of him.
"Aye Jas! What's up Bae?" Hearing the familiar voice relieved you and Jas of any tension.
Asonte came from behind, wrapping his arms around Jasmine's waist, causing her to let go of your hand to embrace him. She turns around in his arms and stands on her tippy toes to kiss him.
When they break away Asonte looks towards you and smiles his signature toothy grin. Giving you a casual side hug, and a fist bump. A greeting you two had picked up back in college.
"Ya'll two look good." He bites his bottom lip while looking Jas up and down. "You tryna show off Bae?"
"Boy please!" Jasmine lets out a girlish giggle, playfully thwacking him on the chest. "Ain't nobody tryna show off for these raggedy-ass people."
Jasmine takes your hand again, and Asonte wraps his arm around her shoulder. All three of you head into the bumbling house. You're instantly hit with the strong scent of weed in the air. Thankfully the house isn't overwhelmingly crowded, so you're not shoved up against anyone.
You all stop in front of the staircase. Asonte separates from Jas, telling you girls to stay put as he heads to the kitchen to get you two drinks. After he disappears, you give Jasmine a familiar glare. She glances up at you with a knowing look on her face.
"Girl chill, you don't gotta drink if you don't want to. Even though I feel like you should, cause you look tense as fuck right now." she says casually, knowing full well that you didn't drink.
"Oh, I know I don't. It's bad enough damn near everyone here is either drunk or high, and I ain't tryna join 'em." you answer cryptically, as shocking as it may seem, you'd never smoked or drank before, despite being in your early 20s. Not that you were ashamed of it of course, it just wasn't your thing.
"A'ight damn bitch calm down. At least promise me you'll try to have fun, please?" Jas pouted with fake puppy dog eyes. She knew just how to annoy you, and it was working.
You roll your eyes at her, but you start smiling. Finding amusement in her pleading. "I promise I'll have fun, but first I really need to wash my hands."
Asonte finally returns with your drinks, but you excuse yourself to go find a bathroom. You manage to navigate your way through the crowd, eventually finding the first floor bathroom at the end of the hall. You go in and wash your hands. Before leaving, you take a minute to admire yourself in the mirror hanging on the door. Jasmine was right, the reflection staring back at you was beautiful. For the first time all week, you managed to shut out the negative thoughts in your head, it was replaced with a quiet surge of confidence.
It was time to make your way back to your friends. Somehow, the hallway had gotten crowded. But, with sheer patience and agility, you get through the hall without running into anyone.
At least, until you got to the end.
Looking down to make sure you didn't smudge your sneakers, you didn't notice the figure right in front of you. You bump right into someone's firm chest, so hard you start to trip on your shoelaces. Luckily, before you fall over, the stranger's hands shot out to grab your waist to catch you. Heat creeps inside your body as a wave of embarrassment washes over you. Not entirely knowing if you could look the stranger in the eye.
"Shit my bad, I ain't see you. You good?" The deep voice of the stranger rang in your ears. That voice sounded way too familiar because you knew it; even though you hadn't heard it in a while, you couldn't forget it if you wanted to. You finally look up at the man, and your brown eyes settle on his gorgeous blue ones.
Cameron Cade. Right there in the flesh.
"C-Cameron?" You stutter. At a slight loss for words. Not just because you've finally come face to face with your crush, but you also just embarrassed yourself in front of him.
His eyebrows raised in surprise.
"Y/N? Oh shit it's you!" He smiles brightly at you, just like he used to in class. It makes your heart flutter on the inside. "How you been?"
"I-I've been good, actually. Really great, how about you?" you stammer, internally kicking yourself for the nervous tremor in your voice. Maybe he won't notice it.
"I been good." he replies, looking down at you. "Just been chillin', not doin' too much."
His hands were still placed on your hips and you were panicking on the inside. Instead of removing his hands, you're surprised when takes them off your hips and slowly pulls you in for a hug. It's warm in his arms, and you gratefully hug him back. After pulling away he places his hands in his his pockets.
"Whatchu been up to lately? I know it's been a while. You still rooming with Jas?" He asks with an expectant look on his face.
"Umm nothing much. Of course I still room with Jas, she's my girl, you know I'd never leave her! B-But I'm mostly working right now." You respond nervously. "What about you? Are you still playing football?"
He lets out a playful scoff. "Yeah I'm still playin, the shit's kickin' my ass right now though. But I been preparing for the combine, so at least it's workin' out for me."
You let out a soft chuckle. Despite your nerves, it felt good to talk to Cameron again. It had been too long, and you missed being in his presence. He also looked so good tonight.
You somehow managed to shake off the initial embarrassment and fall into a steady conversation with him where you two got caught up. You felt the familiar spark you felt back in college whenever you spoke to him. And now that you carried yourself in a more confident and relaxed manner, talking to him didn't seem daunting anymore.
But just as you were thinking of potentially bringing up your feelings, you were interrupted by an unfamiliar voice.
"Cam? Babe are you over there?" You heard another female's voice ask.
Out from behind Cam, came another woman, one whom you've never seen before. She was light-skinned with shoulder-length loose curls.
Damn. She was beautiful.
"Babe! There you are, I was looking all over for you. What's taking you so long?" She asks, wrapping her arms around his right arm. The two looked at each other lovingly, and Cameron practically forgets you're standing right in front of them.
The woman finally looked toward you. A sudden look of realization on her face.
"Oh shit! Did I interrupt you guys? I'm so sorry." She says giving you an apologetic look.
"Nah Bae, you good." Cam responds casually slinging his arm over her shoulders. "We was just talkin', doing some catchin' up."
Your smile had completely vanished as you surveyed the two in front of you. Mentally you were putting together the puzzle pieces you didn't want to put together. But you got the answer you already knew.
"Bianca, this is Y/N. She's my friend from college. Y/N, this is my girlfriend, Bianca." Cam proclaimed, kissing the top of Bianca's head.
Taking a deep breath, you couldn't help yourself as you mentally screamed.
WHAT THE FUCK???
"Y/N. That's a pretty name. It's nice to meet you!" Bianca says, holding out her hand towards you.
You clenched your jaw and plastered on a fake smile. You reach out your hand to shake hers.
"It's nice to meet you too." You say in the most cheerful way you can muster.
"Y/N's amazing. She the one who helped me with all my math work. She might be the best desk mate ever." Cam proudly stated.
You couldn't stand it anymore.
"Yeah, Um, would you guys please excuse me for a sec? I just gotta go grab my friend real quick." you made up the excuse to awkwardly walk away from them.
Your chest felt heavy and your heart was pounding inside your chest. You had to find Jasmine. But just as you expected, she and Asonte aren't anywhere to be found. So much for her promising to never leave you. You browse the entire first floor but you can't find them anywhere. A shiver goes down your spine as you look upstairs, wondering if they went up there to find an unoccupied bedroom. Which they probably have, Good Lord. Giving up, you make your way back towards the kitchen.
When you did, you immediately wished you hadn't.
Right there in the open, in the corner of the kitchen, Cam had his hands wrapped around Bianca's waist- the exact same spot his hands had been on your's just minutes before- as they made out. You feel your heart sink and your stomach drops to your feet. That felt like the biggest slap in the face.
Fuck This Shit. You needed to get the fuck outta here.
Turning on your heels, you made a mad dash toward the front door. The noise, the crowded house and the smell of weed was starting to make you feel sick. At this point you were pushing past anyone in your way. Finally making it outside, you practically sprint to your car. Without skipping a beat, you start the car and drive off.
Only when you were far away from the neighborhood, your tears started to fall. You cried as the heartbreak settled in your chest. Mentally, you couldn't help but chastise yourself.
If you would've known the night would end like this, you would've just kept your ass right at home. Just so you could live without the information that was now making you feel like shit.
To Be Continued....

Summary: Distance has put you and Tyriq so far apart that you cannot be any closer. You both are committed, even if it means getting used to new norms
a/n: quick one that I cooked up. Was inspired by a tiktok comment that i saw awhile back and it inspired me so much i wrote this scenario down with tyriq in mind.
wc: 1.1k

You and Tyriq have been together for a while now. Watching him grow and live his dream has been one of the most rewarding things you’ve witnessed.
However, this seemingly overnight success has come with many changes and challenges. Some more stressful than others.
But knowing that at the end of the day, you always come back home to each other makes everything worth it.
Currently, you are in Atlanta for a work conference, while he is in New York filming for his new movie. This long distance thing is not new for you both, but with the busy schedules you both possess, you and Tyriq had to come up with more creative ways to spend time together because even though y’all were hundreds of miles apart, that was never going to stop him from seeing his boo.
Lying in bed staring at the ceiling after another long meeting, you look at the time and see it’s nearing 9:00 pm. You realize you have to find something to eat before your nightly FaceTime dinner with Ty.
When you both first got together, you all had to create different traditions to help with the strain the traveling and constant schedule changes could put on relationships. One of the many things the two decided on was always making sure you two had a meal on the phone together. Most of the time it was dinner, but depending on wherever in the world Tyriq was filming or if you were off somewhere for work, it was bound to change. It didn’t matter though; you two were going to eat together, and it didn’t matter what anyone else said.
You compared pricing for room service in the hotel and DoorDash. But once you saw the delivery price for what you wanted, you decided to see what they were serving at the hotel. As you were preparing to call down to place your order, you got a text from Tyriq.
ty ty 🤍: Just finished filming for the day. I’m going to get some food and head to my place. I’ll shower and call you right after. I love you, baby 🥰
You find yourself instantly smiling, sending him a similar message and sending your ‘I love yous’ back to your man. Once you are off your phone, you lock in and order your meal for the night and get ready for the night.
Finishing your skincare just in time, you get a knock at the door, hearing one of the hotel staff calling, “room service.” You quickly open the door, and the pleasant staff member pushes the cart of food in, presenting it to you before quickly leaving.
Looking at your phone quickly, you have about 15 minutes before 9:00 pm. You get your iPad set up so you can see him better while you are eating. You open your food to further inspect it to make sure everything looks right, and you wait for your man to call you as the 15 minutes quickly turn into 5.
As if on cue, as the clock strikes 9 pm, your iPad flashes with your saved name for Tyriq. You quickly answer it, and his torso is the only thing you can see.
“Baby, why is the only thing I can see of you is your T-shirt?" A frown spreads across your face as you are antsy to see your boyfriend.
He chuckles as he grabs the pizza box that sits behind his phone. “My bad, I was grabbing the pizza box so I could show you what I got, like those mukbangs you like to watch.”
Before you can say anything else, he quickly answers your request and sits down so you can see his face. His classic, bright smile spreads across his face.
“My handsome man!” You say, cheesing hard at the man staring at you through your device.
“Hi, my baby. I hope your day was good.” His eyes were bright, and his spirit, although tired, was beaming.
“It was good; Atlanta is treating me well. We need to come back here more often. Although they have us at this conference doing icebreakers like we’re in high school. Like, please let us get to the point.” You roll your eyes, thinking of the memory of a meeting that occurred earlier in the day.
Tyriq lets out a cackle at the retelling of your day. "Aww, babe, you know they’re trying to boost morale; I’m glad you played along at least.”
You are listening to him as you prepare to eat your food. “Of course, I couldn’t have the lady stand up there in silence. Anyway, how was your day on set?”
“It was good; we did a crying scene, and like that was probably the best fake cry I’ve done, not to toot my own horn or anything, just saying.” He nonchalantly says as he takes his pieces of pizza out of the box.
“Y/N, look up for me, baby. Do you want a bite?” Tyriq exclaimed to get your attention.
You inch closer to the screen to inspect the toppings on the pizza.
“Nigga, you must hate me. You know I don’t like mushrooms.” A deep frown forms on your face.
“Oh shit, my bad, Y/N. Hold on.” He then goes to pick every mushroom off of the piece he had just offered you.
“Here, baby, I took them off for you. It’s safe for you now.” Tyriq innocently says as he holds up the now mushroom-free slice of pizza to the camera.
"Boy—" “Don’t play and act like you wouldn’t have been mad if I didn’t offer you a bite of my food if we were in real life.” He cuts you off to exclaim.
Rolling your eyes, knowing he’s right, you get close to your device to simulate that you took a bite out of the pizza.
“Is it good? The guys on set were raving about it, so I got it.” Tyriq asked with an inquisitive look on his face.
“I think you will like it, ty.” You continue playing along.
He finally takes a bite of his pizza; a soft groan comes from the man as he satiates his hunger. “Y’all were not lying; this pizza is good as hell.”
It’s your turn to cackle, “I’m glad you’re eating well over there; I need my man just how I left him.”
“Of course, baby, I will be yours all in one piece. Speaking of, can I get a piece of one of those fries you got over there?”
“Nigga bye, this is not the boondocks,” You say as you continue laughing at his goofy joke.
All he can do is smile at you through the phone, admiring you and your carefree nature when you are with him.
“I love you too, Y/N," Tyriq says, still admiring you.
Another one! I hope y'all like it! I got a couple more to finish writing, and then I am gonna focus on getting the first part of the series I plan on starting out as well! Thank you all for the support on this page and my writblr. I really do rock with y'all!

Sitting in the back of your 1:00 lecture, your attention was pulled to your Apple Watch for the upteenth time in the last 20 minutes. Usually you were eager for this class but as of lately you were growing tired of the same ole monotone delivery from the professor. Thank God you had the idea of recording the lecture on your phone while you busied yourself scrolling on your Ipad.
Scrolling through games and social media apps, you found yourself on Pinterest. You thumbed through outfit inspo, natural hair ideas, and various recipes. Saving most and hearting others. Downloading a few memes here and there too.
The rustling of papers got your attention and you looked to see that class had concluded. Gathering all your things and heading right out the building, you started on your way to your sanctuary–the library.
You didn’t get enough time to process before you were lifted off the ground. The familiar scent of cedarwood and Ivory soap filled your nostrils because of him spinning you mid air.
“Cameron put me down!” you hit his arms in an attempt to get free.
He did just that and you staggered trying to find your balance. “Guess what I got on my paper”
The world still spinning. “Imma kill you when I can focus” your arms in front of you finally catching his jacket.
“Guess!” he probed.
“It better be a 100!” pushing him and turning to walk away, he followed beside you.
“Hell nah, a 91” he frowned before smiling at your reaction.
“That’s dope sassy! I’m so proud of you” going to dap him up, he faked like he was going to and flicked your forehead. “Ow!”
“Stop with that dumb ass nickname”
“Stop abusing me”
“Ahh shut up” he nudged your forehead. “Where them little legs carrying you off to? Walking fast as shit” he laughed.
“I’m trying to keep up with you big bird” you looked at his long strides and then up at him. “But imma go finish up a couple of assignments and th–”
He smacked his teeth and groaned. “Work, work, work. Damn girl! Do you even enjoy college?”
“Yes but if I finish this assignment then I’m good for the week and THEN I can sit back and relax” your arms flare out a little as you talk.
“Right, you gonna find something else to work on and be right back in that lame ass library. Collecting dust with the rest of them books” he pointed to the building just up ahead.
“I’m for real this time! And to prove it, how bout we go see that new scary movie this friday?” she looked at him hoping he said yes because going by herself to see a scary movie was not going to happen.
“Sounds fun, but remember I told you I got that date with Kiana.” Your chest tightened and you almost physically winced at the reminder. You’d heard about Kiana around campus. She was captain of the Majorette team, Homecoming queen, and Miss TCSU. One could say she was up there with Cameron in popularity around the school. The match made sense and you hated to admit it.
“Oh right! Where were you two going again?” both of you coming to a stop at the steps of the library.
“Just to grab a bite. That new Korean place up the road, nothing major.” he shrugged. “Said she gets out of practice late so I guess I’ll be waiting up for her. She wanted to meet up and chill tonight” Chill? Cameron rarely chills with anyone unless it’s you or maybe one of his teammates. Usually girls would get one night with him and he’d debrief with you, of all people, afterwards. But yet here he is chi-
What the fuck am I doing? He’s not your man, he’s your friend. A friend who just so happens to be really good with his hands.
“Well let me know how it goes! I’ve been wanting to try that place out myself.”
“If you got out some more, maybe you could, dork” he mumbled. “Ow!” his hands shot to his foot after yours came down on his. “Keep them paws on the ground!” he pointed
“Stop calling me names then…sassy” you stuck your tongue out moving away when he jumped towards you. “See ya later!” you ran up the stairs.
“You lucky I gotta go!” he called after you.
“Yeah yeah!” You head for your favorite corner in the far back of the library. Pulling out your chair and your textbooks, you began. But of course, your body was present and your mind off elsewhere.
You felt so stupid. No matter how you tried far along you got into your work. You couldn’t take your mind off of him. The various caresses, kisses, and words that were spoken to you. How he stayed even after the fact and didn’t make anything awkward between the two of you. How it was all seemingly nothing now being that he hadn’t brought it up since. And how you honestly preferred it because if he had, you would not know what to say.
I mean afterall that was the main reason you weren’t in your apartment at the moment. The constant flashbacks of him plagued your mind every time you stepped foot in there. You always made sure you were dead tired before returning to your residence just so you were able to fall asleep. But to your disadvantage, he found his way into your dreams.
This was all so silly to you. You felt like you were taking advantage of his kindness. He had been a shoulder to cry on, one to rant about nothing to, someone who picked on you like you were one of the guys. Yet here you were, lusting after him. Maybe it was because of you being fresh out of a breakup or the fact that you had been in a broken relationship for so long but that one little favor had awakened something deep within your soul. Something the previous jackass could even hunch out of you.
Now you were here putting up a phony front just to shield yourself from any more embarrassment from any more men. Yes, Cameron was a great homeboy but he was still a boy.
“Is that my girl?” your head snapped up from your textbook to see Derek and Macy. You’d met them at a job fair not too long ago and they were truly the funniest people you talked to at the event.
“Hey y’all” the rasp of your voice from not consuming any water for the past, you looked at your dying apple watch–two hours was getting to you. You cleared your throat and straightened up a little, “What have you guys been up to?”
“Absolutely nothing” Macy dropped into one of the seats in front of you and Derek in the other. “We just finished up with a study group for a psych class and now we bout to go get us something to eat. “
You nodded, ”oh okay”
“What about you? Every time I see you, you nose deep in a book.” Derek smiled.
“Just trying to get some work done”
“Take a break boo! Come chill with us!” Macy nudged you with her shoulder. You groaned a little, shaking your head.
Rubbing your eyes, you laughed. “I really have to fini-”
“My treat” Derek threw out. He leaned forward on the table, arms propped.
“Oh no. really I have a ton of work to do”
“Your eyes are burning” you looked at him. It hadn’t even registered to you how much you were blinking and squinting your eyes.
“Nothing a couple of eyedrops can’t fix”
“Come on y/n. Free food? You can’t pass this up” macy reasoned. “And I need somebody other than this dickhead to talk to.”
You chuckled as the two went back and forth and laughed out loud when the librarian shushed them.
“Let’s just go before y’all have me in bad graces with Miss Spencer.”
Three hours had gone by. But it really felt like minutes with how much fun you were having. The dinner of choice was Mcdonald’s and after eating and gossiping, you were back on campus seated in the passenger seat of Derek’s car.
“And then this bitch had the nerve to be mad at me because I told her the bathroom shouldn’t stink if all you did was pee” the car roared with laughter and macy continued on with the story of her and her current roommate. “I even tried to refer her to my gyno and sour puss got even more upset”
Wiping your eyes you looked back at her, “Sour puss Mace?”
“Yup!”
“Oh my god!” Derek breathed from the driver’s seat clutching his stomach.
“Ya’ll are a trip” you looked out the window into the darkness of the campus. “I need to get out of here. I got an early morning ahead of me. Thank you for the break guys, really.” you opened the door and only got one foot out before Derek spoke up.
“Let me walk you” moving to leave the car as well, you were about to object but decided against it.
“I will see you both later! Got an 8 am myself” macy exited the car as well. “Text me y/n!” you smiled at her waving before turning your attention to Derek. He nodded his head in the direction of the sidewalk.
“Lead the way?” he smiled.
As you walked you made small talk, you understood why Macy and him were friends for so long. He had a mouth on him just like her.
“This is it” you stopped in front of your building, fixing the strap of your bag. “Thank you for dinner. I really appreciated it.”
“No problem” he faced you. “Wouldn’t mind doing it again” he mumbled looking down before looking back up at you. ”just no drive-thrus unless of course. unless that’s what you like” he smiled watching you do the same.
“I’m flattered really but I..can’t D” you shook your head. “Its nothing against you, It’s just a lot going on and-”
“I’m not trying to pressure you or anything. I knew I didn’t want to leave before at least trying.” You looked at him. Yes he wasn’t ugly but like you said before, this was really not a good time right now. “Just think about it and get back to me” did I not just- nevermind.
You nodded before walking to your apartment. Once inside you kicked your shoes off and threw your keys on the love seat.
Slowly walking back to your room, the vibration of your phone caused you to sigh loudly. “What nooww” rummaging around in your bag and pulling it out, you saw it was none other than Cam.
“Yes”
“Damn, who pissed you off?”
“Long day. Wassup?”
“I was wondering what you were doing tomorrow. Figured we could go see that scary movie. With this weekend off the table.” your heart picked up speed but you got your breathing under control before answering.
“Yeah, sounds cool”
“You sure you alright?”
“Positive” you lied.
“...uhuh, well let me tell you about what happened tonight. So..” during his storytime you moved around your apartment getting ready for bed. He talked from the moment you stepped in the shower til the time you laid your head on the pillow scrolling and listening. You could hear it in his voice that he was tired but you didn’t want to interrupt his rambling. It was obvious he needed it.
“y/n” he called. Sleepiness is evident in his tone. The heavenly sound caused a heartbeat down there.
“Y-yeah?”
“Oh you went quiet on me” he let out a light laugh. “You finished that assignment, dork?” you heard him yawn.
“No I did not”
A sarcastic gasp made you roll your eyes. “Miss smartie pants didn’t finish? Wouldn’t be a first”
Now it was your turn to. “Fuck you! I’m bout to hang up” he laughed.
“My fault, My fault! Chill out cry baby” he yawned yet again.
“Why are you fighting your sleep Cam? Go to bed”
“Don’t tell me what to do. Who the oldest?”
“Whose the dumbest?”
“Ahaha. That was cute” he rasped and you felt another heart beat. It was actively getting worse the more he talked, which is why you needed him to go to sleep. But you also didn’t want the conversation to end. Yet he found another thing to ramble about and somehow your hands found their way under your night gown.
Trying to imitate the movements that he had used on you. You bite your lips doing a good job at concealing your moans. Until he started asking questions to make sure you were engaged.
“You won’t believe who blew their knee out in practice today”
“W-who?” your teeth trapped between your lips when you inserted your fingers. Cameron was talking about one thing but you heard something completely different. He went on and on and that only fueled your imagination.
“Now we got this new guy out there not doing shit for real” he stopped when he heard a familiar whimper. “y/n you cool?”
“Yeah I-” you stopped to bite back another moan. But the end of it was not muffled as good as you thought and it slipped through. “Yeah, what did your coach have to say about that?” you proceeded on and so did the story. While he talked, you desperately tried to find that one spot. Your fingers find the spot for just a second before you accidentally lose it again.
Cameron sat up a smidge. He knew he wasn’t that sleepy. “I stayed after everybody and ran some drills.”
Now you are growing frustrated. Here you were, soaked, and you couldn’t find one little measly spot. “That’s good”
“You sure you okay?” he asked again, hearing the sound of running water.
“Yup” you finished cleaning yourself up and marched back to your bed. Not even bothering to finish. “This day just needs to end already.”
“Oooh so you irritated” he concluded. “What’s been bothering you?”
Your head shook as if he could see you. “Nothing, can we not hang up?” you asked timidly. “I know it sounds weird-”
“It’s not weird,” he replied. “I’m surprised you stayed up so late. Usually you’d be asleep by now.” Truth be told, the only reason he rambled so close so late on the phone is so he could fall asleep on the phone with you. He liked your presence whether you were directly or indirectly in front of him.
“Okay, well goodnight sassy” putting the phone on the pillow next to you. He said goodnight to you too before quickly falling asleep himself.
The movie theater outing came quicker than you anticipated. It was as scary as you heard it was and even though Cameron picked on you for the amount of popcorn you spilled by jumping, you caught him mid-scream a couple times. With the movie now over, you didn’t even care to stay for the end credit scene.
“That’s not funny!” you pushed him as you two walked out. “I thought it had me” Cameron thought it was a good idea to shake you during the last jumpscare. You screamed louder than anybody and earned a couple of laughs from the people in the row behind you.
“Whew!” Cameron laughed. “That shit was one for the books!” he leaned on you as you tried to push him away. “That little kid was dying!” he roared.
“I hate you” a smile fighting its way onto your face.
“Yo Cam” turning in the direction of the voice, Cameron was surprised to see Jayden. On his arm a pretty lightskin woman with blonde and brown boho braids.
“Wassup” he nodded.
Since everything went down, Cam hasn’t been interested in the likes of him. After that night in your apartment and the endless venting sessions, Cam had lost all respect for Jayden. During the games and practices, he ignored his jokes, comments, and would leave as soon as he joined the chat room on the game. Safe to say his loyalty lied with you.
“Wassam witchu bruh! Ain’t heard from you in a minute! You know me and the boys was gonna hop on the game later on”
“Nah” he replied in a bored tone. “I got plans”
“Oooh I see. You scared imma beat ya ass in 2k” Jayden laughed before doing a double take over to you. “Damn y/n what you doing here?” all you did was look at him and pull out your phone.
“y/n?” the girl beside him asked. “The girl that ghosted you?” Cameron tilted his head. Making sure he heard that right.
“Yeah that’s her” a smug look on his face. “You ghost me to hoe around with my homeboy?”
“Hoe?” your attention to him now. “I think you got me mistaken for someone else.”
“Um no. You left him after being together since high school for his friend? I think hoe is correct” the lightskin girl rolled her eyes, still mouthing off.
“Y’all can chill on that hoe word” Cam told them both.
“You defending this bitch? Man we practically brothers and you taking her side over me?
“Dead all that name calling bruh. You acting like you wasn’t moving dirty as hell.”
“Cam let’s go. Ion feel like hearing his dirty dick ass any more” you pulled his arm, turning him towards the exit.
“You the dirty one!” the lightskin yelled. The argument getting the attention of the people around.
“Find you something safe to do” you pointed out.
“Watch ya mouth” Jayden warned.
“Or what? Fuck nigga” Cameron went towards Jayden. You held a grip on the back of his shirt.
“I’m not talkin’ to you nigga move around.”
“Nah bitch. You is talking to me. Like I said pussy. Or what?”
Struggling to hold him back, you shockingly got him close enough to the exit. “Cameron, let's go before they call security.” pulling on his arm to move him.
Successfully getting him into the car and back to your apartment, by now you’d had a shower and changed into your pajama shorts and shirt. You had high hopes that cam would go home, do the same, and just completely forget about the situation but no. He was right back at your spot still pissed.
Your room was. set up to binge a show but when he called saying he was at your door, you knew what that meant.
“You are such a hot head” you laughed. The L.E.D lamp light you had recently purchased, lit up the room.
“Was he not outta line?” he stopped pacing your room. “Man, I can't stand him. Main reason why his dumb ass bout to get cut come next week”
“Say swear”
“I put that on everything” he looked at you. “Weirdo forgot he was a student athlete. Can’t even take the student part serious and coach not goin, at all.”
In pure astonishment, you couldn’t say anything in return.
The conversation went on and you started to have your own rant. You were able to slip in the interaction with Derek yesterday.
“Oh he was ready” Cameron looked shocked.
“Overly but yeah yesterday was a bit of a doozy for me too. If the past 24 hours have shown me nothing else it’s that I clearly have no luck with men.” you leaned back into the headboard. “Might as well be a nun” hearing him stifled a laugh, you rolled your eyes.
“Cam.”
“I’m sorry. You can’t have that kinda mentality y/n. You are a beautiful woman, you’re going to come across the right one soon. I know it.” your face was as hot as the sun.
“Thank you sassy, that means a lot” you smiled before screaming at him jumping on you. His fingers dug into your underarms. “Okay! Okkaaay! Oh my gosh!” you struggled underneath him.
“Apologize!”
“I’M SORRY” you laughed. He stopped for a brief second then did it one last time. “I Apologized” you whined through a laugh. He quit for real this time and you were able to catch your breath. When you were able to focus again, you realized he was staring down at you. You also realized the way he was positioned between your legs.
“You’re heavy” you mumbled.
“Whatever” he mumbled back, staring at you. As you laid below him studying his features, you felt the need to reach up and give him a kiss on the cheek. His signature smirk appeared. “What was that for?”
“My bad, that was weird.” you nervously laughed. You sat up on your elbows expecting him to move back but he stayed. Your faces are now inches apart.
“What was it for though?”
“I- dont know cam, I guess it was kind of a thank you for earlier.” you shrugged.
“Really? Cause there was no emotion behind that at all!” you two shared a laugh. You reached up to try again. Lingering a little bit before pulling away. It was almost like he moved closer but you brushed that idea off. “better?” you smiled.
The only response you got back was silence. When he leaned in and placed a kiss on the far corner of your mouth for the same duration you did him, you were stunned. When he pulled back with a faint smile and went for the other corner, you could’ve passed out. Out of reflex, your lips pursed. “Better” he said, still close.
The urge to do so became too much and you leaned forward pressing your lips to his. You abruptly stopped and moved away from him. “I’m so sorry Cam! I didn’t mean it like that! I’m sorry!”
“Y/n-”
“I took advantage and I’m so sorry!”
“Advantage?” he moved closer to you on the bed. “Y/n you didn’t take-”
“Yes I did! And you’ve been such a good friend. And it was just a one time thing, I looked too far into it and now you think Imma creep. But it was really just me at the moment not reading the roo-” you were cut off by him pulling you into another kiss. You moaned into the kiss, completely leaning into him. His tongue entered your mouth and you happily accepted. Finally, he pulled back.
“Your lips would fly off if they weren’t attached to your face.” your head came down in your hands. Taking them away from your face he kept on “You are not taking advantage of me y/n. It’s nothing you’ve done to me that has ever made me think you were a creep. Even when you were playing with yourself on the phone yesterday.” your mouth dropped and he laughed.
“I thought I was being so discreet!”
“You was pretty obvious to me”
“Oh my gosh” your eyes closed
“Can't hide them moans from me no matter how hard you try.” he leaned in to kiss your cheek. “You know that right?” trailing down your neck he found your spot. “Gonna let me hear those sweet moans again?” he murmured on your neck. A soft one blessed his ears. “You can do better than that y/n” his hand coming up your waist and stopping at your nipples.
He traced the hardened mounds and you almost melted at his teasing. “Can’t you?” he softly pinched them, rolling it between his fingers. He watches you slowly start to fall apart, knowing it was only the beginning. Starting on the other one at the same time, he captured your lips in another steamy kiss, laying you down.
Pulling away and looking down at your boobs, he asked ”may I ?”
“Yes” helping him pull your shirt over your head, he quickly attached his lips to your nipples and created a suction that had you holding his head to keep him there. His Hands working the other one. You were already in pure euphoria just from a little nipple play. Your thumb caresses the back of his head in encouragement. His tongue leading the way over to the other one, repeating the motions.
Trailing down your body, he left multiple wet kisses below your belly button. And as he dragged your bottoms down your thighs, the kisses got even messier stopping just above your clit. Adjusting your thighs onto his shoulder he left kisses on the inside of your thighs.
“Just as pretty as I remember” his hands running up and down your sides. “Mmm” he moaned, latching onto the sensitive bundle of nerves. Your back arched off the bed and your hands flew to his head.
“Caam”
“Mmhmm” he hummed into you. You just knew your neighbors could hear you because after many attempts at trying to cover your mouth to quiet down, Cameron had grabbed your arms, pinning them to the bed.
“Shit! Cameron” you peaked down at him to see him look back up at you. “Your tongue feels so good”
Coming up for air his fingers circle came up and took their rightful position inside you. “How good mama?” his fingers curled and he moved forward flicking his tongue on your clit at a quick pace.
“S-sooo good cam oh my gooooddd” he slowly devoured you. Head moving as if he was french kisses the lips above and not below.
Twisting and pumping his fingers at the same time, he looked at your pussy in astonishment. “All this for me y/n?” he followed the slick running down to your bottom. The bright pink of your pussy making him throb in his pants.
Frantically nodding your head, He couldn’t help but suck on your clit one last time before flipping you over onto your stomach. Moving your hips up and pushing your knees apart, his hand trailed down the line of your back as it arched “So fuckin fine” both hands came back to your ass cheeks.
“Ooh” the feeling of him continuing to feast on you, caught you by surprise. He got back to work immediately. Smacks of approval coming down on each cheek as you shook from pleasure. When he inserted his tongue, a deep groan came from behind you. “Please Cam”
He stopped and smiled, his fingers going to work again. “Please what?” knowing what you meant. Twisting his fingers slowly he watched you drip down your thighs. “Tell me what you want mama.”
“Youu. pleaseee I want youuuu” not needing to hear more, he removed his sweats, and released himself. You watched the precum drip from his tip as it bobbed in the air. The thickness of his dick made you a little nervous but with how gone he had you already, you just wanted him to split you open.
Stepping forward and tapping his tip at your hole, you whimpered trying to push back on him. “You want some dick baby?” he taunted, pressing the tip at your entrance. “Put it in”
Your hand came between your legs and guided him inside. you feeling him stretch you out. Him feeling the wet grip you had on him. A sigh left the both of you and Cameron sank deeper. . “Yeess” you practically whined. “Your so deeep baby oh my goood” he smacked your ass and you moaned more from feeling his member actively throbbing.
“You wanted dick so bad, mama. Get to work” he rubbed the spot he just slapped. Slowly you started to throw it.
“O-Oh mmm sssshittt”
“Uhuh show how bad you want this dick baby” you picked up speed. When you felt his tip about to leave your entrance you would rock your hips back harder. “Shit y/n…all the way to the tip…fuck yes…greedy ass pussy” his hands came to your hips then went to massagging your thighs. Your moans make him bite back groans of his own.
“Dadddyyy” that smug smirk making its way on his face.
Witnessing your cream began to coat his dick, his head tipped back before looking at the site again. “Pussy so nice to me” his hips started to move instantly hitting your spot. “S-so fucking nice to me…you finally got some good dick huh mama?...damn” he watched you ass move like water as it collided with his hips.
“Yeess Cam don’t stop”
“You deserve all of it too…Ever. Single. inch”
His thrusts grew harder and deeper, yet remaining slow and steady. Reaching forward, he gently gripped the back of your neck, placing your back to his chest. “There go those sweet moans…drives me fuckin’ crazy”his hands roam your body. One coming to cup your boobs and the other beginning to rubbing circles on your sensitive bundle of nerves. “Pussy so good…shit…been n-needing you on his dick…all I can think about.
You tried to throw it back feeling yourself about to come undone. “Oh I love this dick so muuucchh”
Smiling and pressing a kiss to your neck, “you do?”
“Yes caameron” your head falling back on his shoulder.
“You wettin this dick up so nice mama…workin’ it real good too…I know you wanna cum for me baby…don’t you miss cumming for me?
“Yes oh my gaaawdd. I miss it so much” you tightened around him.
“I can t-tell…let me work that cum out that pretty pussy…shit y/n…you bout to cum…yeaah I can feel it…don’t stop fucking me either” his thrusts started to pick up.
Your body began shaking.
“Fuuucck…keep cumming baby…gimme all that shit” your moans serenading him. He turned your face to him, sharing a sloppy kiss.
“C-caam oh!” you fell forward and his strokes weren’t stopping.
“Give me one more ma”
“I c-ca- uhhuuu” you reached back putting a hand on his abdomen for mercy. But he looked down at it like an offering instead.
“I’d love to hold your hand” his fingers intertwined with yours as his foot came up on the bed. He held your hand and the arch in your back grew deeper. “Thaaat’s it ma…that’s how you take dick…like a good girl..that’s you?...my good girl?”
Not hearing you say anything he looked to see you completely fucked out. Mouth gaped open, eyes rolled back, and light moans leaving you.
“I can’t hear you y/n” his hips snapping faster. “You daddy’s good girl?”
“Yes” you answered lowly.
“Louder”
“Yess, I’m your good girl!” you came again. Cream begins to pool down the front of his thighs. The sight almost made him follow up right behind you.
He pulled out and admired the mess you made. “Look at me baby” he carefully turned you over on your back. His hands cradled your head.
Your lids were slightly weighed down. A thin coat of sweat covered both of you. Your whole body felt like wet noodle. You knew you looked a mess, but Cameron looked at you as if you were the prettiest being on the planet.
“You okay?”
“Mhm” you slowly nodded. Resting your hands on his wrist.
“How do your legs feel?” he peppered kisses on your cheeks. He couldn’t keep his lips off you.
“A little loose”
“Good” leaning down he began the most sensual makeout session. The sucking of lips, moans from the both of, and the way your hands came to massage the nape of his neck, turned him up yet again. Reaching down to your legs, he pulled them up and hooked the back of your knees in his elbows. Lining up with your entrance again, he slowly entered. Doing all this while still holding the kiss…you knew you were in for it.
his head falling into your neck. “You were thinking about me last night?”
“Uhh Mhm” you nodded.
“You cum thinking about me too?”
“N-no I-oh I could. I couldn’t find my spot.” pulling out till he was only 3 inches in, he adjusted you legs on his shoulders thrusting, and slammed in.
“UUh” the wind knocked out of you.
“That spot?”
You nodded like a crazy woman. “YESSS”
“Aww my baby could find her spot?”
“Noo I couldn’t” your nails clawed at his back. A single tear ran down your face.
“S-shit” he lifted his head and rested it on yours. Taking your hands off his back he put them above your head, interlocking your fingers again. “Don’t cry mama, Imma take care of you…I always do right?” once again you could only nod.
“I need you to come for me again”
“I don-”
“Yes you can y/n. I can feel you.” your head went farther back into the mattress.
“Its just so muuucchhh” a pathetic moan leaving you.
“You’re my good girl right? Make me p-proud…ugh f-...make me proud mama…give it to me…oooh just like that pretty…good job…keep cummin’ on me baby”
There was nothing you could say anymore. He was beating your pussy up so well and attacking your neck to add to the sensation. You tightened up on him, making his thrusts slow.
“So tight” he’d let your hands go and was concentrating on not nutting inside you.
“Please cum for me Cam. I need it so bad.”
“Damn ma dont talk like that”
“I do daddy. I need you to give it to me”
“I know baby, Imma give it to yo- fuck y/n” him moaning your name cause you too as well. Pulling out, he stroked all his nut out groaning profusely. His body gently fell onto yours as you both caught your breath. You were drifting in and out of sleep.
“y/n”
“Mm no, not again cam please.”
Let out a tired laugh. “No love, we gotta get cleaned up.” his fingers tracing your areola. “You think you can move?”
You shook your head, swatting his hand away. “No touching” you pouted.
“Sensitive ass” he moved to get up. “Imma start the shower. Stay right here.”
“Stop playin’ Cameron” you heard him enter the bathroom and start your shower. Coming back into the room, he smiled at your position. Curled up with your pillow, eyes half way open.
“I didn’t do too much did I?”
“You will not be going on that date come Friday,” he laughed loudly.
summary: this was just a funny little post I wanted to write based on this tik tok.
wc:1.2
“Babe!”
“…Baby!” You called from the front door. You usually popped up on him from time to time after he gave you a copy of his key.
“In the room!” Following his voice you walked in on him laying on the bed watching T.V. He rubbed his eyes looking over at you giving a sleepy smile.
“You were sleep? My bad” you pouted standing at his room door. Knowing how hard he worked during the week, it made sense.
He shook his head and reached out for you.”You good boo c’mere” his other hand resting in his sweats.
Smiling, you almost dived onto the bed and cuddled up next to him. “Must’ve been a long week” you inquired, snuggling into his chest. Your hand comes up to play with his chain.
“The week was cool up until yesterday. Was busy from opening til close. Barely ate lunch, almost didn’t eat dinner.” He looked at the T.V. and played with the hem of your shirt out of habit. “Slept pretty good though, I took a nap outta boredom foreal”
You looked up at him, “What you wanna do?” He shrugged going to pick up his phone. “I know you can’t sit still for too long.”
“Ion know. You got somethin’ in mind” he briefly looked at you turning his attention back to instagram.
“Nah I was just gonna spend time with you.” He hummed, nodding his head some. Continuing to scroll, he came across a video of a girlfriend making her boyfriend choose between two activities on index cards.
“How come you don’t be taking me on dates?” He looked down at you. Your face twisted a little in confusion.
“Baby what you mean? I took you out for your birthday”
“Yeah but like..other than that. I be wantin’ to get treated year round” he looked off feigning offense. Aaron knew you would often fight with him over paying the tab when you felt it was a little high. This was just a test.
Breathing hard you sat up on your hand looking down at your man. “You know what? I agree. Let’s go to that arcade uptown. I heard it’s pretty cool.” he perked up hearing the suggestion.
“That don’t sound half bad actually. Imma get dressed real quick. Gimme bout 20 minutes” he looked at his phone getting up from the bed. Around the 15 minutes mark, Aaron was already refreshed and ready to go. Your eyes trailed down his body, eyeing the way the all black fit with his gold chain looked on him.
“You look good papa” getting up to meet him at the door, your hand went to his abdomen getting on your tip toes to reach his cheek. “A little too good” you mumbled walking past him. He heard it and laughed and his palm gently landed on your butt. “Cmon we can take my car”
Aaron looked like a kid at the candy store from the moment he walked into the arcade all the way up to the 2nd hour mark of being there. He bounced from machine to machine, beating you in some and letting you win most. He even battled little kids making them cry before you criticized him. Now it was time to go and grab a bite to eat.
“It’s good boo?” you watched him. He’d downed an appetizer, 2 margaritas and now the entrees had come out and he was going ham. The whole time he vented about his week. The karen that came in tried to return a T.V. that wasn’t even purchased from the company. How the new hire got caught smoking in the bathroom by a customer and offered them a hit. Yes, the customer took it but he still had to terminate him.
“Hell yeah, ain’t been to longhorn in a minute” he took a sip from his drink sucking it down til he hit ice.
“We came here two weeks ago” you deadpanned.
He paused looking up as if he was thinking. “Too long baby, still too long” proceeding to move through his plate.
“You gone sleep good tonight” you shook your head at him as he called the waitress over for another drink.
Your dining experience had come to an end and you two were in the car on the way back to his apartment. As you drove, your hand went over to rest on his thigh. He stopped nodding his head to the song playing side eyeing you.
“Y/n…”
“Yes?” you glanced at him.
“You don’t wanna put both hands on the wheel?”
“Mmm nah, I’m good” your hand begins to rub his thigh. “You enjoy yourself tonight?” you asked eyes on the road.
He nodded, “Yeah, we gone have to go back to that arcade. It was fun.” you hand inching up more and more but his babbling went on and on oblivious at first.
“Yeah I wasn’t a fan of the potatoes either”
“Next time we should go with Darius and his gir– baby what you doing?” he attention went down to your fingers that just grazed his crotch.
“What you mean?”
“I mean you treating me like a thot right now. Drivin’ and feelin’ me up like imma girl or sumn”
“Stop playin’ ” you eyed him as you turned into his complex. “You know you gotta come up off that”
He looked at you surprised. “Come up off what?” he laughed a little as you parked in front of his building.
“That dick boy, whatchu mean?” he laughed in pure bewilderment.
“The hell you mean I gotta come up off– Man wait a minut– bruh–hold on! Treatin’ a nigga like a piece a meat right now” he wrestled with your hands moving up and down his chest. “Unhand me lady”
“Oh you comin’ up off somethin’ tonight” his own hand found his chest as well.
“Is that what this was the whole time?! Oh my Gosh!-- Stop that” he popped your hands that reached his jaw line. “I’m feeling very vulnerable.”
“Good”
“Good?!?” He watched you get out of the car and walk around the car opening his door. “Ain’t this bout a bitch. What is goin’ on?”
“Come on lil daddy” you unbuckled his seat belt and pulled him out the car. Tugging him towards the house. He stumbled a little.
“This is crazy” he watched you quickly unlock the door to his apartment. “I can’t even get in the house that fast.” coming in and closing the door you started towards the back.
“Cmon” you motioned with your head in the direction of the bedroom.
“Mmm I think Imma stay in here actually” he watched you take off your skirt. “This is going pretty fast Oh my–Can we talk about this at least?” he tried to reason backing up as you approached him.
“We been talking all night” his back hit the door. “Time to pay up” you smiled up at him pulling in his belt.
“This is alot–slow down! What is–I am somebody’s son! You can’t treat me like this!” his statement coming to an end as you pulled him to eye level.
“Pull that dick out and quit allat yappin” you spoke squinting your eyes.
Even with the suddenness of it all Aaron complied. “I never knew I was this easy..” he mumbled, unbuckling his belt.
“Uhuh and hurry it up. Them three Margaritas should’ve kicked in by now.”

Marching across the parking lot, you were already halfway to your car even before the restaurant doors had even finished closing behind you.
Your heels clicked rapidly against the pavement, purse tucked beneath your arm as you dug through it for your keys with one hand and searched through your recent calls with the other. Whatever dignity you had left could catch up tomorrow. Right now, you wanted to get home, get out of the outfit you’d wasted too much time picking out, and forget the last hour and a half had ever happened.
Your plugs name barely came across your screen before you hit call.
You reached your car just as the line started ringing, yanking the door open and dropping into the driver’s seat with a frustrated huff.
He answered on the third ring.
“Cam, please tell me you’re home.” you desperately whined.
A low chuckle came through the speaker. “You sound stressed, ma. What you need?”
You dropped your head against the headrest, closing your eyes. You didn’t even know where to start.
The awkward silence?
The fact that you’d spent half the night carrying a conversation that clearly should’ve been pronounced dead twenty minutes in?
Or the moment that finally made you grab your purse and walk straight out of the restaurant without bothering to finish your drink?
You sighed heavy into the phone instead, unable to get any words out.
Cameron laughed. “That bad?”
“You have no idea.”
“Aight. Tell me about it when I see you.” You heard movement on his end before he added, “Meet me at our spot.”
Your eyes opened. “Our spot?”
“The hallway, girl.”
Despite having a bad date, the corner of your mouth lifted. “You make it sound like we got some secret location.”
“It is secret. Now hurry up.”
-
Cameron was standing outside his apartment when you rounded the corner, one shoulder resting against the wall as he looked down at his phone.
His head lifted at the sound of your heels against the floor. You watched him straighten up, his eyes raking over your outfit. Taking in the shirt and skirt that hugged every curve that you wanted to show off tonight. The fabric of your skirt clung to your full hips and softened over the curve of your stomach, stopping high enough to leave your thick thighs on display.
You stop infront of him trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach. You narrowed your eyes.
Cameron eyes traveled over you once more before they returned to your face. “You look just a stressed as you sounded on the phone.”
“Because I am.”
A low chuckle rumbled in his chest as you sighed, dropping your hard back then looking back at him. “You got what I need?”
“Yeah, but…” he glanced at you again before gesturing his head toward his apartment door. “Come catch a vibe.”
Your brows lifted.
In all the times you’d met Cameron in this hallway, your exchanges had never made it past these four walls.
“With you?”
“Nah, with my other neighbor.” His mouth twitched. “Yes, with me. Come on.”
You followed Cameron inside, your eyes dropping to the way the muscles in his back moved beneath the black T-shirt he wore.
You’d seen him plenty of times before, but following him into his apartment felt different. Stepping out of your heels near the door, you picked them up before letting your eyes wander around the space.
“It looks nice in here.” You hovered awkwardly beside the kitchen island, unsure of where exactly you were supposed to go.
“Appreciate it.” He glanced up briefly before turning his attention to weigh out your usual. It didn’t take long for him to notice you were still standing in the same spot. He nodded toward the couch. “Make yourself comfortable.”
“Oh.” You quickly made your way over, setting your heels beside the couch before sitting down right on the edge.
Cameron looked over again, you could feel his stare before you even met his eyes. “You can relax, ma. I don’t bite.”
The look accompanying his words had you letting out a nervous laugh. “I am relaxed.” His eyes dropped pointedly to the way you were practically perched on the edge of his couch.
With another quiet laugh, you finally slid farther back into the cushions. You crossed one thick thigh over the other, tugging your skirt back into place where it had ridden higher against your hips. You’d managed to make yourself look at least somewhat comfortable.
He made his way over and held the small pack out toward you.“Don’t worry ’bout it. It’s on me.”
You give him a look. “You sure?”
“I said it’s on me, didn’t I?”
A small smile pulled at your lips. “Thank you.”
You slipped it into your purse while Cameron dropped onto the couch beside you, reaching forward for the lighter on the coffee table. You tried not to think too hard about the fact that he’d chosen the spot closest to you.
Cameron sparked the joint before bringing it between his lips. Your attention went to his hands, the veins running along the back of it became more prominent as his fingers curled around the joint.
Then your eyes traveled higher, catching the hollow of his cheeks as he inhaled and the way his jaw flexed before smoke slowly left his lips.
You looked away before he could catch you staring. After another hit, Cameron held it toward you. You reached for it, your fingertips brushing lightly against his.
You brought the joint to your lips before Cameron could notice your reaction, inhaling deeply and letting the smoke settle before slowly breathing it back out.
The two of you passed it between you for a while, the tension that had followed you home from your date gradually beginning to loosen its grip.
Your shoulders relaxed first then your body sank further into the couch. Cameron mirrored you, leaning back besides you and turned his head in your direction.
“So…”
You look over.
“What’s going on with you?”
You passed him the joint. “So this motherfucker begged me to go on a date as if he was gonna make some grand gesture, just for me to walk out on him.”
Cameron laughed, turning toward you. “Nah, you walked out on him?” passing it back to you.
You took the joint from between his fingers, bringing it to your lips. “And I don’t feel bad either.”
“Damn.” Cameron shook his head, still laughing. “What he do?”
“What didn’t he do? “ You inhaled before passing the joint back to him, sinking deeper into the couch as you tried to figure out where to even begin. “He was thirty minutes late.”
His eyebrows shots up. “And you stayed?”
You suck your teeth. “See, don’t piss me off because I already know I should’ve left.”
“Nah.” He chuckled, taking another hit. “I’m just asking.”
You rolled your eyes, pressing your lips together to stop yourself from smiling. “Anyway. He gets there, barely apologizes, and then spends the entire time talking about himself.”
“Whole time?”
“The. Entire. Time.” You emphasized each word. “His job. His car. Who he knows. How much money he makes. I know this man’s whole five-year plan and he probably couldn’t tell you my last name.”
Cameron laughed again, dropping his head back against the couch. “Hell nah, i’m fucking dead!”
You shook your head. “And then after all that, this nigga tried to kiss me.”
Cameron paused with the joint halfway to his mouth. “Say swear!”
“He did!” You were laughing, the whole thing sounding more ridiculous the higher you got. “I grabbed my purse and left.”
“You foul.”
“I’m foul?” You shoved his shoulder light. “He deserved it.”
“I ain’t say he didn’t.”
“You just called me foul!”
“Both can be true.” He held the joint toward you.
You reached for it, your fingers brushing his again during the exchange.“Shut up.”
Cameron chuckled as you took another hit.
The irritation you’d carried home was slowly becoming easier to laugh about now, helped along by the marijuana moving throughout your body.
You pass the joint back and forth.
With each hit, the tightness in your shoulders disappeared a little more. Your limbs felt heavier against the couch, thoughts moving slower as you reached flow state.
Cameron looked just as gone, his eyes red and low beneath heavy lids as he leaned back beside you. You continued rambling, barely noticing when he had gone quiet.
His attention had started drifting. Your skirt had ridden up higher against your thighs now that you’d gotten comfortable. Cameron’s gaze dropped there before slowly traveling back up. You caught it, and when his eyes met yours again his tongue slowly moved over his bottom lip before taking a hit.
More butterflies.
You looked away first. “I just wanna forget the whole night happened,” you sighed. “Get my mind off it.”
Cameron slowly exhaled the smoke. “I can help with that.”
Your eyes returned to his. “How?”
Instead of answering, he leaned over to place the joint in the ashtray. When he settled back, his hand rested on your thigh.
You eyes dropped towards it.
His thumb moved slowly against the soft flesh there. “You trust me?”
Your heart had started beating faster. “Of course.”
Cameron’s hand slid from your thigh to the side of your neck, gently pulling you closer. “Perfect.” His eyes dropped to your lips. “Cause I wanna make you feel good.”
He leaned in and kissed you.
A soft gasp slipped from you against his lips, caught off guard by the fact that this was actually happening. You’d had a crush on Cameron for longer than you cared to admit, never once finding the courage to act on it. But with his lips moving against yours and his hand still resting firmly at your neck, every doubt you’d ever had about him not feeling the same began to melt away.
His hand slid upward to cup the sides of your face, tilting your head just enough for his lips to leave yours and trail along your jaw.
Your eyes fluttered closed.
He took his time making his way down to your neck, his teeth grazing lightly over your skin before his tongue followed slowly behind. A small whimper escaped from your lips.
Cameron chuckled low against your skin “Been waiting to get my hands on you.”
The confession sent another rush through you as his kisses traveled lower, trailing across your chest while his free hand came up to palm your breast through the thin fabric of your shirt.
You moaned when his fingers found your nipple, pinching gently through the material. Your hands instinctively grabbed onto his shoulders, needing something to hold onto.
“How long have you been waiting?” Your voice barely made it above a whisper.
Cameron pulled back to look at you, he pulled the bottom of your shirt upward, exposing the soft curve of your stomach and the black lace of your bra. “Too long for my liking.”
Something about the way his deep voice carried those words had your thighs pressing together, desperate for anything that might ease the growing ache between them.
His eyes briefly dropped before returning to yours, one corner of his mouth threatening to lift as his index finger hooked beneath the edge of your bra cup tugging it down.
The cool air against your skin made your breath hitch, but it was nothing compared to the way Cameron looked at you. His eyes met yours once more, almost as if giving you one last opportunity to stop him.
You nod once. Barely, enough for him to catch it.
He lowered his head, taking your nipple into his mouth. A sharp hiss slipped between your teeth as your back arched from the couch.
Your hands slid over the back of his head, holding him closer. “I’ve been waiting too,” you confessed, your face scrunching when his teeth tugged at your nipple.
Cameron released it with a soft pop, lifting his eyes to yours. “Oh yeah?” he tugged the other cup of your bra down, giving your other breast the same attention.
“Yes.” The word came out breathier this time. Your head fell back against the couch, teeth sinking into your bottom lip in a useless attempt to hold back a moan.
He didn’t stay there long before making his way back up, grabbing your face in one hand and pulling you into another kiss.
You pulled him closer. Both feet came up onto the couch as you parted your legs, making room for him between them while your hands moved along his neck and over the back of his head.
The kiss grew messier before Cameron finally pulled away, resting his forehead against yours. The both of you breathing heavier as his thumb lightly dragged over your cheek.
“Good,” he murmured, leaning forward to nip at your bottom lip. “So let me take care of you.” He tilted your face toward his, making sure your eyes met.
You blinked slowly up at him, gaze wandering over the features you’d spent so much time admiring from across that hallway. You’d wondered before what his hands would feel like on you. Now that you knew, you wanted them everywhere.
You nodded.
Cameron’s eyebrow lifted. “Tell me.”
The ache between your legs only had gotten worse. “Take care of me,” you whispered.
A low groan left him before his lips crashed back into yours. He kissed you once, twice, before reluctantly pulling away and rising from the couch.
His hands reached for the bottom of his shirt, tugging it over his head.
Your eyes followed shamelessly. Over the hard lines of his stomach. The muscles stretching across his chest and shoulders. Down again when he stepped closer.
You reached for him, fingertips tracing over his abs before two of them slipped teasingly beneath the waistband of his sweats. You gave it the slightest tug before letting go.
Cameron smirked down at you and without a word, he lowered himself onto his knees in front of you.
Your breath stuttered.
His hands traveled beneath your skirt, pushing it higher until the fabric gathered around your waist. His gaze followed, settling on the sheer tights still covering your legs.
Cameron hooked his fingers into the thin material.
Rip
You gasp as he tore through the center, leaving enough room to reveal the black lace underneath.
“Cameron!” You stared down at the damage. “I just bought these.”
His smirk only deepened, eyes glued to your soaked panties. “I’ll buy you more.”
You opened your mouth to say something, but was cut off when cameron pressed a kiss to your inner thigh. Your body jerked at the unexpected contact, both hands pressing into the couch to steady yourself.
His lips moved to your other thigh and you squirmed.
Cameron took in every reaction he managed to pull from you, and judging by the look on his face, he was enjoying every second of it.
He sat back on his heels, eyes never leaving yours as his thumb began moving slow circles over your clit through the thin lace of your panties.
A whine slipped from your lips, your brows pulling together as your gaze dropped toward his hand.
“Eyes on me, ma.”
The huskiness in his voice had your eyes snapping back to his.
His pupils were blown wide, his attention fixed entirely on your face as he applied just a little more pressure, still refusing to give you anything faster than those slow, deliberate circles.
Your lips parted, another moan escaping. “Cam…” You turned your head to the side, suddenly unable to hold his stare.
Cameron hummed appreciatively. “You sound so pretty.” He rose to his knees just enough to hover over you, bringing himself closer while maintaining that same torturously slow rhythm. “Say it again,” he murmured.
Your breathing grew heavier as his fingers finally hooked beneath the edge of your panties, pulling them aside. His fingers traced slowly through your wet folds, and your hand immediately closed around his arm.
“Cam.” you moaned out again.
His mouth found your ear, teeth grazing lightly against it before his voice dropped to a whisper. “So fucking sexy.” Then he was lowering himself between your thighs again.
One hand kept the lace pulled aside while the other continued teasing you for another few agonizing seconds, drawing out every restless movement beneath him.
His hand moved to your thigh, pushing it higher and opening you further for him. Your breathing had grown noticeably heavier, fingers gripping the couch hard enough for your knuckles to pale.
The anticipation was almost worse than the actual touch.
Cameron was right there. Close enough that you could feel his breath where you wanted his mouth to be, yet he seemed perfectly content taking his time while every nerve in your body screamed for him to stop teasing.
He finally lowered his mouth to you, and you couldn’t help the sound that came out of your mouth. Your eyes widened as you looked down, watching his mouth and tongue work with precision.
Cameron’s eyes fell closed, brows drawing together in concentration, solely on making you feel good. He groaned against you the vibration causing your eyes to roll back at the feeling it sent through your body.
His lips then locked onto your clit, your body instinctively tried to pull away from the sudden intensity.
Cameron fist closed around the fabric of your skirt still bunched at your waist, dragging you firmly toward the edge of the couch until there was nowhere left for you to go.
“Don’t run from me.” he told you before his lips were back on your clit. Your moans we’re uncontrollable as he sucked on you. Your legs were beginning to shake but that didn’t stop him from sliding his index finger into you slowly pumping in and out.
“Oh my gosh cam.” you whine. He was looking at you, his eyes low and heavy. There was this intensity in his gaze that sent a shiver down your spine. He watched every change in your expression as he added another finger, taking his time until your body adjusted around his fingers.
Then his fingered curved, hitting that all too familiar spot that had you crying out for him. “Oh shit, right there.” Cameron hummed against you pumping his fingers in and out of you faster while his mouth attacked your clit.
Your eyes squeezed shut as your hips began lifting helplessly from the couch. “Don’t stop, don’t stop.” One of your hands found the back of his head, pushing his face more into you as the pressure building inside you became almost unbearable.
“Cam, i’m cumminggg” . Your thighs tightened as the orgasm rushed through you, your entire body trembling beneath him while Cameron refused to let up until you’d ridden out every last second of it.
“Fuck…” you whimpered, slowly sinking back against the couch. He lifted his head, gaze moving between you and the mess you’d made before settling back on your face. His fingers still moving in and out of you. “Look at you.”
You couldn’t even answer.
A satisfied smile tugged at his mouth. “You did so good for me.”
Your body felt completely spent, every breath still uneven as Cameron rose onto his knees and leaned over you. “Can you give me one more?”
You answered with nothing more than a weak whimper.
He leaned closer. “I think you can.” His fingers sped up in you once more. Your brows furrowed.“Please…” You weren’t even sure what you were begging him for anymore. “I know, baby.” His hand came up to hold your face, keeping your attention on him. “Just one more.”
His fingers hooked inside of you, you gasped and your body jerked. “is that your spot” cameron asked, his voice was driving you insane. Your nails were digging into his arms, “yes right there cam don’t stop” you pleaded.
Your head fell back as another moan tore from you, louder than any before it and you didn’t care who might hear. Cameron’s mouth found your neck, kissing and biting along your skin without ever breaking the rhythm of his hand.
Your walls clamp around his fingers, cameron reached your ear. “you’re so close pretty girl, i could feel you.” your legs started shaking again. “give it to me, i want all that shit” his fingers were moving at a relentless pace and you had no choice but to take it.
“i’m gonn-“ The second orgasm tore through you harder than the first, your entire body going rigid before completely falling apart.
Cameron slowed his movements, watching you fall apart from his touch for the second time tonight with an expression that bordered on disbelief. “So fucking perfect,” he murmured.
You went limp against the couch as Cameron’s hands moved slowly over your body, soothing you back down while your breathing gradually returned to normal. “Still with me, ma?”
His voice pulled you from your daze.
You blinked slowly at him before managing a weak thumbs-up.
Cameron chuckled, leaning down to press his lips against yours. You kissed him back lazily, his tongue brushing against yours, the taste of yourself still lingering on his lips.
When he finally pulled away, that familiar smirk was waiting for you. “You still thinking about that date?”
