This scene may very well be my favourite scene of all the movies I have watched. The tension in the close-up, James Brown’s It’s a man’s world haunting in the background and the sudden reinterpretation of every line that Michèle (Circé Lethem) has said throughout the movie. It is simply devastating in its simplicity.
