Fujairah

This weekend I went with a big group overnight camping in a wadi in Fujairah. I was not always one for camping, but with every experience I realize that I am a true camper. The drive, although in reality a mere two hours, took us a total of 8 hours while going there. This was for two reasons; the difficulty of organizing something with a group of 20, and the middle eastern concept of time and speed. But it's all a part of the experience. As always, I was overpacked. I ended up sleeping in the reclined seat of the jeep, thus my tent has a nice trip back and forth, set up for absolutely nothing and taken down in the haze of the morning hang over. Fujairah is beautiful, constrasting views of the desserted mountains with camels on one side, and the clear blue indian ocean with jellyfish on the other side is really a sight worth marveling about. I confrtoned two diminishing fears of mine yet again, jumping from great hights in a beautiful tiny cliff off a waterfall, and swimming with the sea life. On the way back, I drove in a roofless jeep, batteling the strong wind on my face, stuck in the middle of coolboxes and wood fire smelling tents, enjoying the nature which I had so missed being in Dubai for over a month. Picture taken below wasn’t taken by me, as ofcourse as soon as we got there I dropped my phone/camera climbing a rocky mountain and cracker it as cracked as the rocks themselves.
