Bio: A professor at Startorch academy, widely loved by the student body despite the difficulty of her exams. No one really knows her age, but she states she is "a bonafide senior citizen like Mr. Herssen.".

While not visible, resonator Maria's tacet mark is located on the center of her chest. When using her forte, anything she touches will freeze, and she seems to exhibit some form of frosty breath as well.
Resonator Maria was found with an awakened forte at the age of 12. As reported by the resonator, she went through extensive amounts of exposure in hostile environments. Her forte naturally manifested as a possible symbol of her perseverance and her great desire to live.
Resonator Maria reports that she doesn't find much use of her forte, and only really used it to cool down food or the environment. She doesn't seem to appear to be in complete control of her abilities, although resonator Maria has stated that her control has gotten better over the years.
Analysis of test samples shows a non-convergent Rabelle Curve with a steep rise in its middle section, marking resonator Maria as a mutant resonator.

Originally from Rinascita, she's branded as a fool by the Order of the Deep from a very young age. She's a former acolyte, serving the church since she was seven years old and stopped at the age of nine.
The resonator has refused to divulge too much details regarding her time at sea heading to Jinzhou, but she has admitted to murdering her older brother at the same time her forte awakened.
Resonator Maria doesn't disclose the official title of her job, but states that she is one of their eyes and ears.
Also if anyone wants to know why her backstory isn't said in the report, she is intentionally not talking about it for good reasons. Let's just say she has very bad memories during her time at sea.

Although hers is a bit larger than theirs as it is a result of the mutation due to her resonance, not necessarily a result of evolution/genetics.

Maria is also observed to be eating things raw sometimes-- mostly things she's hunted, whether it be wild game or tacet discords, showcasing some level of feral behavior. Researchers are not sure whether this is simply behavioral (given her brief background as a feral child) or as a result of her resonance.
She doesn't seem to exhibit any sort of illness from doing this too, which might make some wonder if they could consume tacet discords too. But they're not going to entertain that even if she provided them answers.
Even though she displays mutations as a result of her previous overclock, she doesn't seem to rely on her forte or use it much as other resonators in combat do. Researchers speculate that she may be trying not to overclock again this way.

I doubt many poets would think much of a shiny rock though.
