i do genuinely think that there is a special higher form of love that you can have for art that you must earn through analysis and theory, and people who haven't tasted that don't know what they're missing. if you know what it's like then you'll feel that somethings empty when you listen to music from another culture or another period in time & you like it but you don't have the necessary background to explain why.

Analysis is shit. I live off vibes. I make as much good art as any analyzer just by doing what feels right. I don't have a single real reason to like bort. I just do and that's good enough for me. I listen to music from all over the place and I can feel that connection, that quality without knowing everything about it. Maybe some people need that analysis, and maybe some people are better off without it.
