“Alright, I didn’t know what you’d want for lunch, so I got chicken strips, a hamburger, and fries. What do you want, love?”
“Definitely chicken strips. And fries!” He smiles. “Thank you!”

“I’m sure our carpet appreciates it,” he laughs.
“It better!” He winks again.
“I’m pretty sure it’s just blood and amniotic fluid, placenta would be pretty gross on our floor too.”
“Either way, I don’t want to have to get any stains out of our super nice carpet so I will be holding these little ladies in until we get to the hospital.”
He gives him a look, “Birth juice? That kind of makes me never want to drink juice again…”
He can’t help but laugh loudly at that, shaking his head. “You knew what I meant. It sounded a bit nicer than bodily fluids.”
“Hey, I just want to make sure that you don’t give birth on our carpet or in a car,” he winks.
“Oh gosh, I can’t imagine that birth juice is an easy stain to get out of carpet. I’ll be sure not to do that.”
“Let me know if you have another one so I can time them. If they’re five minutes apart, we need to go to the hospital.”
“Yes, boss.” Harry teases with a playful wink before deciding to get back on the ball to try that again.
“Are you having a contraction?”
“I can’t tell. Could be.” He shrugs, finally feeling the discomfort subside and starting to walk around more.
“I loved when Lou brought Lux on to-,” he looks at Harry, “What? What’s wrong?”
Harry nods along to his comment, his face still serious and his eyes squeezed shut. “Dunno. Feels tight in my belly, Kind of painful but not bad.”
“Yeah, taking them on tour when they’re a couple years old will be a lot of fun!”
“It will. And it’ll be so fun to tell them about when they’re older.” He smiles before pausing his walking and turning his expression a bit more serious.
“It almost feels like a dream. It’s still weird that we’re not touring, that we’re just doing normal thins.”
“Sometimes I think it is a dream. It is weird but a good weird. I do think it’ll be fun to get to tour again sometime in the near future and bring the babes with us. Not yet, though. I’m liking this too much.”
Louis puts the ice cream on the table and leans against the headboard, “I can’t believe this is our life.”
“It’s pretty crazy to think about how much has changed in a year. We got married, got pregnant and now our little family is about to double in size. I’m the luckiest man in the world.”
“We’ll be alright,” he smiles.
“Of course we will.” He smiles back at him, bringing his hands to rest on the small of his back.
“We can just go to a lot of small towns where there aren’t any photographer,” he jokes. “I think we’ll figure it out. Everyone else does.”
“We definitely will figure it out. It’ll take some trial and error but I’m sure that eventually we’ll figure out what’s best for us.”
“It sucks that the amount of activities we could do with the babies is limited because of them.”
“Well, no. We’re still going to do everything because our girls deserve to have as much of a normal life as possible. We’re just gonna have to get creative.”
“It makes me sad that we’re going to have to work like hell to avoid paparazzi now, though.”
“Oh gosh, I know. It makes me nervous to even think about...” He says, biting his lip as he stands up and starts to walk around the room.
“We’re going to be the cutest family ever,” he smiles.
“We are. I really, really can’t wait.” He smiles wider, continuing to bounce on the ball.
