So I have been making some changes... to myself. I have always been non-theistic. I do not belive in the existence of a god because... Well simply, I don't believe there is any need for a god. I have however adopted several "beliefs" or "philosophies" from multiple religions. Religion, in my opionion, is and obscured concept or ideology create (most of the time, not necesarily always) to benefit its leaders in society. However, there are some moral values that are useful, and in the case of Buddhism or Hinduism, have some metaphisical practices that are useful for the body and the mind. I have begun to meditate on a general basis, and learn several of the mantras in the Hindu tradition. I have also begun to study the Chakra system and perform exercises that are useful in this philosophy. In the end what I am trying to say is that everyone needs something to believe in. Whether its a god, multiple gods, a flying spaghetti monster, or just a philosophy or way of life. We all need something to keep our mind active in the concept of life.
