- Shane having other ppl who are there for him other than yuna/david/hayden/jj/Rose. Give that boy a community!

I do earnestly joy the post-vegas subdrop fics. But I'd love to see a fic with a bit more exploration of the fact that ilya was hurting too in that scene. Like we know the reason hes shutting down and its not actually out of cruelty or carelessness. So I'd love a fic where he gets to articulate that.

I need a fic which is literally just Shane and/or ilya watching Heartstopper.

There's so many different points at which it could've been so pivotal for them to watch it cant even decide when I like best.

Here's some options:

Shane watches it after Rose breaks up with him, finally letting himself consume some queer media and really identifying with charlie

Ilya watches it after Shane gets his concussion, it makes him extra torn about coming to the cottage

They watch it together at the cottage (they've never had the time to watch TV together so its extra heartbreaking) and are just clinging to each other and crying. Ilya ends up talking more about his mum after seeing Olivia Coleman

Scott and Kip make them watch it when they all have a weekend at the cottage together, as they've taken it on themselves to educate hollanov

these people must not know how long it takes to write a 100k+ fic, if you're someone who edits a lot, that can take literal years (which is why im just happy with all the writing that people are posting, there have been some wonderful fics so far, and I can only imagine there will be even more as new seasons come out)

“We are always in hotel room, Hollander. What can I offer you, peanuts from minibar?”

“It's a hotel, Ilya, they have room service,” Shane said, stubbornly. That made Ilya scoff.

“Oh, yeah, because you would stay long enough for that?” He crossed his arms. “No, we order room service, you worry butler is in FBI and figures out Shane Hollander is in Ilya Rosanov’s room, because no one else would order such horrible salad.”

Shane frowned. Ilya was right, of course.

Which i do feel and relate to, however gotta have some respect for our darling fic writers bc there's like 17k+ fics that have been written to date and its been about 4 minutes since the show came out. So this way he can still have an emotional support ginger ale, but get to try new things at the same time :)
