NEW SONG: Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu
Even better than Bad Behavior. Can't wait to hear the whole album and see them again in Chicago on May 6th! :)
:) :) :)
This is what 10 years with you all sounds like. What 10 years of the family looks like. And after 10 years, this is what it all feels like. You make us feel ...
Tuesday is the new Monday! Happy New Music Day!
This week, my loves in The Maine, finally released a much anticipated music video for their new song, Bad Behavior, which is nothing short of amazing. Maybe it’s just me being biased, 1. Because it’s The Maine and my love and admiration for them has grown immensely over the last 8 years or so I’ve been following them. 2. Because I was actually there!
In short, the music video chronicles 8123 fest. What is 8123 fest? It is newly established festival that started this year and commemorated 10 years of The Maine! Although the music video essentially details one weekend, it depicts, what has become known as the 8123 cult(ure). A family connected by music ranging from all ages, all walks of life, all across the globe. Seriously! More people at the actual fest were from outside of Phoenix. I traveled from Chicago and chatted/ made new friendships with people from Portland, New Zealand, Brazil, and the UK, surprisingly no one from even Arizona. Neverthless, it was a fantastic experience. The video is personal and nostalgic.

Exactly 2 months until I see my loves, The Maine on May 6th at the HOB in Chicago. :)
Stay away, sweet misery
I hope they play this at the HOB on May 6th! My favorite.
New Music Monday!
Firstly, Happy Monday! Secondly, I’ve decided on Mondays to introduce new music, pending new music, obviously. So, welcome to my first installment. Today, I will be discussing how excited I am to not only write about All Time Low’s newest single, but also, their new album on their new label.
After leaving and returning to Hopeless Records with a brief stint at Interscope, All Time Low will now be joining the Fueled by Ramen family, home of many other talented artists including but not limited to: Twenty One Pilots, Paramore, Panic! At The Disco, and Fun (all of which have been nominated and/or won Grammy’s. Hence, my initial excitement). Their first album on Fueled by Ramen, The Last Young Renegade, is slated to drop June 2nd.
Onto what’s relevant, the new music that is out now! After taunting fans with subtle hints on social media, the band finally decided to drop the first single and announce their new album on February 17th. The new single entitled, Dirty Laundry was accompanied by a new music video.
The song, as the video, starts very dark and desolate, with a self-proclaiming reconciliation, that everyone has skeletons in their closet and that makes them who they are. As the song continues, tension grows as Alex Gaskarth finds himself reminiscing about a fight with his love about her past, in which he admittedly was wrong and misspoke. Instruments that seemed negligent are now at a heart ponding crescendo with smooth transitions into new verses. At the final chorus, the song has reached its height and emotions are more relevant than ever. Guitars and drums are blaring. Gaskarth is nearly shouting his words with his signature rasp, pleading for forgiveness, overpowering the argument, and accepting the realization of what he’s learned. Then suddenly, it becomes dark and desolate again.
To conclude, the overall song showcases the band’s newfound maturity. As lead singer, Gaskarth, stated, “We all felt pulled to exciting and difference places as we searched for inspiration, approaching something that’s become so familiar to us, from a new direction”. It’s visible in Dirty Laundry and hopefully, it will make its way to the rest of the album.
My favorite. Can’t wait to see them again on May 6th. :)
NEW SONG: Bad Behavior - The Maine
I can't wait to hear this live again on May 6th!
It’s been over a year since The Maine went on a solo headlining tour. I’ll finally get to enjoy their loveliness for over an hour and hear some new music by my favorites. :) The weekend of May 5th seriously NEEDS to come sooner. To preorder the album or get tickets to the tour, both which are certain to be amazing, check out www.themaineband.com

Check out my cover of The Maines wonderful new single Bad Behavior just in time for Valentines Day. If this is any indication of what the new album will consist of, it will be epic. Remember to pick it up on April 7th!
As the #AmericanCandy cycle truly comes to an end, I look back on the amazing memories, #TheMaine has bestowed. Among them, the Spring 2015 tour featuring 2 nights in Chicago with our hometown boys #RealFriends and #KnucklePuck! Naturally, I went to both sold out shows. The energy from the bands was real and authentic. The shenanigans were raised to a new level. John played the drums, while Pat debuted his vocals in their original song, “Let’s Eat Grandma”. (Check out @its_antczak on Instagram for the video). The crowd was filled with love and ecstatic to share each others company. Nevertheless, as one chapter ends, another starts and looks more promising than ever before. I highly anticipate another phenomenal year, and will desperately be awaiting #April7th, the release of their newest album #LovelyLittleLonley and be ready to sing along all the lyrics on May 6th and May 7th. Until then, check out what’s happening with guys at https://www.themaineband.com/
