"Itâs Travis, are you new here?"Â
"Yeah, I am. Just trying to get my handle on everything around here. I'm Walker" Archer said, shaking the other man's hand emphatically.Â
"Aaron Luthor. And who is it I have the pleasure of rescuing, today?"
"Archer Walker. I'm a new writing major here. I'm guessing that you're a teacher here?" Archer said asked expectantly.
"Hm⊠Iâd like to think the fight to keep my sanity in me has already been lost, dear. You canât keep something that already left long ago." He closed his eyes briefly, a soft gasp falling from his mouth. "Other boys know how to grind, you know. Iâll need something more creative to convince me to keep you around." Which, of course, wasnât quite true.
"Well you do realize that life in itself is a never-ending struggle. So I suppose you're always struggling in one way or another." Archer was thinking of the multiple dirty things he could have done to the lover before him. "I think I can come up with some wild ideas...." Archer laid down next to Allen, wrapping his arms around him and drew circles around his cheeks, staring at him. He want the simplicity of them being together to be enough.Â
"There is a cafe two blocks from here, itâs family run; best coffee in town."Â
Archer eyes popped out of excitement. "Oh really? Can't believe I missed that! Thanks so much...er...what's your name?"Â
"You are quite welcome, my friend." Hands on his hips, Aaronsnhandwrittingnthat looked the other over without shame. "My my my⊠you are quite the handsome thing, arenât you? But whatever did you do to warrent such a wicked prank?"
Archer was painfully aware of the hands grazing his waist. He quickly removed them, remembering Allen with fierce loyalty. "Well, you know, it was just one of those days. Who are you again?" Archer chuckled awkwardly.Â
"I never should have allowed Korean pop music into my life. Itâs ruining me.
"I don't think that's possible. You can never have too much K-Pop in your life!"Â
"So does anyone know a good cafe around this place? I'm really in the mood for a calm setting."Â
"When desks and chairs started rubbing me the right wayâŠâ He says bluntly with a little bit of laughter.
"Well I'm hoping you made that discovery in the privacy of your home. Cause I would probably ban you if I was teaching in school and saw an attractive kid just rubbin' up on a desk." Archer remarked with the same amount of bluntness.Â
He recognized the faults in his statement as soon as the words left his mouth. âI donât understand what your motivation is. To analyze people, to understand them, and then to hold it over their head. How does you thinking youâve got me all figured out assist you?â Caleb asked, genuinely confused.Â
"Maybe cause I'm a genuinely caring person. Ever thought of that, big stuff?" Archer asked this, thinking back to Caleb's bright future. He knew the kid was going to become famous sooner or later. "I know you don't want to be like this forever," Archer stated with all the sincerity he could muster.Â
"Writing major, nice." Kurtis nodded in approval. He could appreciate that, with his hopes of a directing in the future. "I teach Film Acting and Production. Needed to get out of the lime light for a bit so I decided to teacher here. Ta da."
Archer tried to ignore the comment about his major. The though of humility kept popping up in his head. "I can see why that's a convincing factor to consider. I could never deal with even five days of fame and fortune. Have you liked it here so far?"Â
"Stop, or I will never speak to you again." He was trying to sound deadly serious, but he couldnât help but laugh. It was just that horrible. "Iâfuck, keep doing thatâ have to go down to Twitter headquarters for a day. Youâre coming. And, Iâll have to go to deal with my parents, and youâll hold me back if I try to fight anyone.â
"Well, you know, if you never spoke to me ever again then who would keep you sane?" asked Archer intuitively. He could tell that the boy before him owned some major flaws. But like any other great mind of a generation, that was expected. Archer kept rubbing their lower bodies together looking straight into Allen's eyes as he spoke. "Exhibit A of why you should probably keep me in your life." Archer smirked in a coy manner.Â
"Iâd much rather get you some pants and maybe like eight shirts so you can stop shiveringâŠ.so yes, my place it is." He laughs "Aw poor muffin is all alone in his bedroom at night, what a sin"
Archer laughed to himself. "I don't think I could virtually even put on eight shirts but I'll make sure to try for safety precautions. Can't have a kid dying in your dorm from hypothermia." On the way there, Archer was curious about Tom's fetish. "So...when did you figure it out...that you had aphephilia, I mean. "
The conversation, while quick, stressed Allen out very much. Heâd have to go back into San Francisco that weekend. That was sort of terrifying. He went back into the room, one hand going through his hair. He moved to get on top of Archer, pushing his phone away. âHi, you. Sorry I had to go. You know, I was thinking. San Francisco. How would San Francisco be? Thatâs where Ginsberg met Orlovsky, Itâll be gorgeous. This weekend, what are you doing this weekend?â He rolled his hips against Archerâs while he spoke because, well. He needed a distraction.
Archer was impressed by Allen's agenda. Even though Archer knew he would never be the type of person to catch up with all of the appointments and meetings, he knew that Allen was the absolute opposite. Considering the option of going to a new city, Archer could feel himself being whisked away into a romantic getaway as a perfect distraction. Grinding closer, he said: "Of course, my darling!" in the worst 40's impression he could muster.Â
"Alright Alright, no touchingâ God knows what thatâll doâ
"Oh yeah, right sorry." Archer pulled away, completely forgetting for two seconds." Laughing at the sheer randomness of Tom's condition he wanted to spend time with his newly found friend. "Hey do you mind if I hang out at your place for a bit? I kind of have no room mate," Archer said melodramatically.
"To be frank, I donât really give a shit what your intentions are. Answer my question" Caleb said, allowing his temper to get the best of him. He could feel his impulse control loosen.Â
"So you don't give a shit what my intentions are but you're questioning what my intentions are...nice." Archer countered. He could see the boy was getting heated but he knew this was clearly all a defense mechanism.Â
That was certainly promising. Before he could say anything about it, he was being kissed. Before he could do anything about that, his phone rang. He was starting to understand that being called was something he should really start to care about because. Well. He broke away from the kiss. âOne second, gorgeous. Thatâs more than likely very important.â He grabbed his phone, checking the caller ID. Fuck. "âŠI need to step out for just a moment. Is that alright?"
Archer was a little perplexed. It took him a while to process what was going on. "Yeah, that's fine." Archer said quickly, rolling off of Allen so that he could take the phone call. Damnit, and right when things were getting good, though Archer. He frowned as Allen walked out of hearing distance. He could already feel the distance in between them and that made Archer oddly uncomfortable.Â
"Youâre such a fucking asshole, itâs unreal"
Archer shared his blanket with Tom covering him as much as he could without giving up too much. The kid was pretty tall. "Come'ere, friend, you must be a tad bit cold." Archer smiled a bit jokingly. He liked Tom, he liked getting the chance to just simply joke around.Â
