"It hasn’t really reached an uncomfortable level of people throwing themselves at me in a way that’s uncomfortable. It’s just a whole lot of love. And that’s the really exciting part of it, I think." [x]
’..I’m very fortunate that people keep trusting me with different kinds of films. I think that’s a huge gift. Not only is it a dream come true to work at the level that I get to work at, but I feel like people don’t really see me as one thing or another. They’re just seeing me as an actor, and that’s the goal.’
When people recognize your work and want to reward you for what you’ve done, that’s a good feeling.
Holy the supernatural, extra brilliant, intelligent, kindness of the soul.
get to know me meme: 4/∞ favorite characters Jesse D'Amato (In Treatment) "And he's like 'You look hot.' And I'm like 'Then suck my dick.'"
Getting this deep into the guts of a character can be consuming and even a bit obsessive, so on the last day of shooting his films, DeHaan partakes in a ritual: he declares to himself that the character he’s been playing will die that day. When he tells me this, I raise an eyebrow, and he laughs, picking absently at the lid of his coffee cup. “Yeah,” he reiterates, “I say, ‘Lucien Carr dies today’”

"It’s Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. I think I was like 8 years old. And so one of the kids’ parents wouldn’t let us go and then I had to wait to see it. I was a big Jim Carrey fan as a child.” - Dane DeHaan, on the first movie that made him laugh
A flash of red caught Allen’s eye in the reflection of the glass. “Let’s hear a bit, shall we?” Allen turned to see Lucien Carr, a red kerchief round his neck, a vision of male beauty. Lucien clapped the guide on the shoulder, turned to the crowd.
