Super happy for all the protesters, but when you get together you need to make a plan. You want to support women's rights? Lets see a hat passed around for womens shelters, lets see some volunteering to help battered women gain skills needed for independence so that they don't continually seek the men that abuse them because they need support. If you want to support pro life policies, lets start donating to orphanges and group homes to make sure children that end up here are taken care of properly and more women see giving children up as a better option. We need better sex education and more resources made available so that kids don't have more kids. With the amount of driving that I do on a daily basis I get a lot of time for introspection, and as I approach 30 and look back on my life it seems odd to me where I'm at today emotionally. I'm happy, for a lot of my life those two words were generally a lie, I learned early it was easier to fake a smile than to explain a frown and I walked through life paying lip service to laughter. With friends I could be happy, but when alone I would find myself sitting in a dark room for hours without motivation to even turn the TV on. I now have a loving wife and a network of good friends and family, I find that more often than not I'm smiling and it feels great. So to anyone who's having a rough time I want to say that sometimes that dawn you are waiting on is a long way away, just keep moving and things will get better.

The mirror

Do you ever look in the mirror, and wonder what you would see, if you were what you really wanted to be?

My mother passed away Saturday morning, this is one of the last pictures I took of her, she's walking with my niece to play with my nephews. I never realized how much she meant to me until she was gone.

I’m imaging really new houses excited for the first family that will move in. Or old houses that have watched generations of the same family and actually do have really good advice, and abandoned houses that are lonely and hoping they will get a family that will move in and fix the leak in the roof and give them a fresh coat of paint.

I’m sure there would be some bad houses, but that’s why you talk to neighbours and maybe spend the night a few nights to find out if you get along.

That’s a really good plan. I like this plan. Now I really want a talking house. This entirely your fault.

The saddest part, two houses next to each other fall in love, so close but can never touch. One of the houses has a family that stays there for their entire life, the other is a rental with families only staying for a few years and constantly wondering why no one stays.
