“I am still trying to figure out a way to get caffeine directly into my blood stream honestly.” Alexandria replied with a small chuckle. “But it’s easier said than done.”
Braxton smirked back at her, “Well if you do, please hook me up because that could only benefit me even more, I am sure.” He chuckled.
thealexandriaroberts:
“Black is fine.” Alexandria replied knowing that when she first started drinking coffee she’d put milk and sugar in it but that over time she had just ended up drinking it black. “I get that too. I love my job as well but sometimes I just need the coffee.”
“Alright.” He nodded back at her before taking the seat opposite her once more. “I mean I think my body consists of more coffee than water at this point.” He chuckled back at her.

“Okay, maybe coffee wouldn’t kill me then.” Alexandria replied with a small chuckle knowing she normally had a cup around this time of day. “I drink more of it than I should, but I can’t help it.”
Braxton walked over to the machine to turn it on, preparing her drink before he walked back, “Do you want any milk or anything?” He asked her out of curiosity. “I mean so do I. As much as I love my job, all the paler work does get a bit much and once the words start to blur then I know it is time.”

“Double whiskey. On the rocks.” A small smile formed as she thoought about it. “Top shelf usually, but I’ll deal with something lower.” She couldn’t deny she was a bit stuck up when it came to alcohol, but she wasn’t going to settle for something that isn’t going to be as good. “I just stare at my kitchen because I want it to get done, but I never have time outside of work to do it.”
“Oh a whiskey girl huh?” He asked with a smirk, “I have had mixed experiences with those in the past but I guess only time will tell which one you are.” He teased her. He shrugged, “You can always hire people to take care of that for you.” He suggested.

“I think so. Maybe you can double check, but I believe I got everything.” Alexandria replied, fairly confident that she’d done things correctly. “I wouldn’t want to trouble you.”
Braxton took the documents and scanned them quickly with his eyes, wanting to make sure she had signed everywhere, “Yeah looks good!” He added before taking them over to his desk. “Oh it is no trouble! I have a machine.” He said and pointed to the small thing behind his desk.

“Yes, but the rest I’m good for. Love myself some drinks,” she smiled over at him. And she felt like she was able to relax and have fun with Braxton. He wasn’t stuck up like some people. “Right? I finally was able to get my living room the way I want it to be. And I’ve been here around five or so years. At this rate, it will be another five to finish the kitchen.”
“What kind of drink is your favorite?” He asked, “Are you a cocktail girl or are you going to say beer?” He chuckled a little back at her as he wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from her. “Wow, look at you go.” He teased her with a chuckle, “I got a brand new apartment, so it wasn’t a lot for me to do besides buy some furniture.”

“Well that makes one of us.” Alexandria replied with a small chuckle. She was on top of stuff for work, but other things were a mess at the moment. There was never enough time in the day. “That is good to know.”
Braxton nodded back at her, “Did you manage to sign everything you needed?” He asked as he pointed towards the documents, “And are you sure you don’t want another coffee?”

“I guess that is fair.” Alexandria replied knowing that Braxton did some really important work. She admired that about him. “I mean, if you’ve got more important things to do it can wait. Don’t go stressing about it.”
Braxton shrugged, “I mean I am pretty much on top of everything at the moment so it should be fine.” He reassured her, “If it wasn’t I wouldn’t have offered.” Even though that was a lie. He was just happy to help.

“Well, not working yourself so hard is a good first step. But wait until you’re done my paperwork first.” Alexandria teased, knowing she did want to get this stuff done. But she also wasn’t selfish enough to not want him to take a break if he needed it.
“Yes well, tell that to the good people of Ashton and maybe they will stop requiring my help as much.” He chuckled back at her. “Oh don’t worry, this is on top of my priority list.” He nodded back at her with a reassuring smile.

“Yeah, don’t do that. I cried over a broken pretzel while drunk on tequila. I have no clue how that even happened, but what do you expect from me?” Rosie smiled as she shook her head. She started to learn she wasn’t the most normal person in the world, so she learned to roll with it. “I bought a home, but yeah, everything is so much cheaper here. I actually thought they were lying to me when they told me how much a house was.”
“Alright then, so I will make sure to make you steer clear of the tequila then.” He laughed back at her while shaking his head ever so slightly. He still thought she could be a lot of fun though and wouldn’t mind going out for a drink. “Ah right, I did the same, even though it seems like a waste of money at this point.” He chuckled back at her.

“Well hopefully that will work out for you then.” Alexandria replied with a small chuckle. “Ashton seems to be filled with good people if you poke around enough and find them.”
“Yeah I am sure it will.” He chuckled back at her, not wanting her to pitty him in the slightest. “Oh that much is for sure. I just need to find the time ot get to know them.”

“You don’t have a best friend? That’s just sad honestly.” Alexandria replied, shaking her head at the man. “Everyone needs to have a best friend.”
Braxton shrugged, “Not really? I mean I have friends around town and such but like a best friend I haven’t had for years. I have met some cool people here though so who knows in time.” He smiled back at her.

“I guess that is fair. I like to stay in with my boyfriend or my best friend. When they are busy though I sometimes am forced to do socialize with other people.” Alexandria replied with a small chuckle.
“Yeah, see I have neither of those things, so I guess it makes more sense for me to go out and about.” He chuckled back at her.

“We will need to. I promise I’m fun. Usually. No tequila. It makes me cry about the weirdest things,” she smiled, shaking her head. “Nope. But I can’t say much because I used a mattress in the lab more than I care to admit in the past two years.”
“No tequila, noted!” He chuckled back at her, not minding the idea of going out and getting a drink or so with her as he enjoyed her company. “Yeah but at least the rent here isn’t too bad, compared to a lot of other places.”

“I usually just go somewhere calm, but honestly more often than not I just buy a bottle of wine and drink at home. It’s just easier.” Alexandria replied with a small chuckle.
“That is fair.” He nodded back at her, “I tend to try and go out when I can. I need to have some what of a social life after all.”

“I think I have just reached the point where when I go out for a couple of drinks I am just looking to relax, not party.” Alexandria replied knowing that it has been ages since she partied.
“That is fair enough and I don’t blame you. Like going out for some drinks can be just as fun as going out to a club, even though I need to be fairly drunk to enjoy the club.” He laughed back at her.

“It was alright, the atmosphere just isn’t really for me. Much like you I prefer somewhere a little more calm.” Alexandria replied with a small nod. Not that she really went out too much these days.
“Yeah I prefer calm as well honestly.” He nodded back at her. “Or just a place you can like have a conversation. I am not much of a dancer anyway, so there is that as well.”
