He was desperately looking for the way to save the lives of people he cared about! He was terrified one of the first people to actually care about him in a long time was going to die! He went into the dragon crypt despite being extremely uncomfortable with being there because of the Iron Wheel stuff. But he did it anyways! Because tf!Legs fundamentally just wants to make sure his friends are ok.

I adore this anxious mess of a man and desperately want good things for him.

This is like. Semi Celestial Metals neg. I love them so much and they're my mains but in relation to Legs I feel so conflicted about them at the moment. So if that irritates you pls scroll past.

Celestialmetals I need to be so fr rn. I don't think any of them are healthy for tf!legs at this stage of crisis. It's easy to be all talk about sticking together and supporting each other in defiance of the books in concept, but when the shenanigans actually hit it doesn't hold up. When something happens they watch him sit at a distance with apprehension, and don't ever draw him back into the fold. Sausage gets the closest, but he doesn't have the best approach because his perspective can't separate 'Legs' and 'Weapon' and he's far too blasé about violence. There's no backbone about actually ensuring he has people to fall back on. If you have a walking nuclear bomb you claim to call your friend, slowly alienating him due to your own subconscious discomfort about what he MIGHT be able to do surely won't make that MIGHT a DEFINITE.

He breaks down alone. He walks alone. He has a distance none of them challenge or even question. They have no thought for his presence outside of immediate conversation so he's in a constant state of catch-up. He put himself on the line for their lives and is slowly destroying himself, his anxiety for their wellbeing is crushing him and there's simply little reciprocation. It feels like watching him sink into a lake attached to three boulders and he won't cut the line because the tether is love. He's never had anyone so he doesn't understand that loving a person doesn't mean they can't be poison. He's simultaneously staring at their backs as they go and tossing himself in front of them as a shield.

He's forced to go into the crypt, which you know he hates, and affect the wheel, an object he was clearly frightened of, in order to get a crucial ingredient for the cure, without which several of his classmates and friends will die. There's no other option, the teachers are useless, he's abandoned by his only companion at the start, and they have neither the time or the knowledge to figure something else out. He commits to the act, at extreme detriment to himself, and the first thing you're concerned with is criticising that the dragons had to wake? Oh they suffered? Why, he must have never considered such a thing! That definitely wasn't already adding to his emotional agony! It's not like he was the one standing in the crypt when it happened! No, he's just an oblivious oaf, using his eeeevil magic without thought however he desires. You, moral and pure, would NEVER do such a thing, because you would clearly be handed a clean and kind solution where all is happy and good.

Like why the hell did the most reassuring person seem to be MEGII??? She's awesome and incredible, but they're hardly close! And they only talked alone for like two seconds! Her roots are scared of him! WHY did her concern feel so much more genuine?

It just feels like watching a self fulfilling prophecy that they swore to deny! 'You're not your books' yet your concern flees you when he has to use his magic. His actions staved off their deaths, AT HIS OWN EXPENSE, yet he sits and takes vilification for being incapable of making it perfect. He vilifies himself and they just stare at him instead of denying it! His suffering is second rung to their anxiety about his magic and he's becoming a scapegoat without them even realising it. How is he supposed to overcome the precarious danger of the Iron Soul when the rug keeps getting pulled out from under him? There's no safety net, no solid supporter, just people who uhm and ahh and let him take far too much blame.

I adore CelestialMetals but I'm reaching the point of killing them with my mind. This collection of personalities is NAWT what tf!Legs needs.

tiny reminder that there's bits of iron within the alloy that make up the guards' armor. a small amount, but there's still iron

whenever TF!Legs gets stronger at controlling individual sources of iron*, or less pure sources, he could totally be capable of like. empty soda-can crushing the guards. or anyone wearing iron armor, really. not in-game/mechanically, obviously, but it's still a pretty fun thought. all it would take is a bit of focus and maybe a clenched fist and BOOM. no more threat lmao

*the only thing he does this with, notably, is with knives. otherwise, he uses the grab to lift people, which I suppose still counts because it uses iron armor; the pulse, which I assume works through magnetic/positive and negative charges?? rather than utilizing iron itself; and the antimagic field which, again, nullifies the web of mana in a certain area rather than using actual iron alloy. most of his kit neglects moving, shaping, or weaponizing individual iron objects or tools (such as being able to hold iron objects without touching them or something like efficiency when using iron tools, etc etc), but most of this is because it would be very hard to implement mechanically. excluding the knife ring, of course. a lot of what I'm thinking of are more flavor-based things anywho

this has filled me with the mental image of TF!Legs on a villain arc and bro like squeezes his hand into a fist and someone goes *crunch-squeak-grnnn* as the metal of their armor complains at the contortion and then all that remains is a crumbles mess that oozes blood and possibly some bits of flesh/viscera depending how morbid you want it to be

On one hand I like that he is a wet cat who doesnt quite know how his magic works and how to use it and sometimes uses the wrong spell and can only rotate knives and push people away or grab them

On the other hand I want him to go on a training arc and be hyper-competent and start going magneto on everyone who is a threat to his friends.

So I didnt catch the end of legundo's stream live but I finished the vod (the stream from today, spoilers below)

Anyways that was very fun to watch, it was fantastic and I loved every bit of this (nearly) 5 hour vod. I especially love the parts where you can just look over at chat and not read anything because chat go brr

Oh my god I just figured out whats wrong with the party at lupi tonight, spoilers for the flight, the day before the party, michaela, graecie and zam povs.

So, michaela is corrupted, yeah? And there was like a burst of corruption coming off of her, in the ritual room but graecie got her cleanse so graecie and zam arent affected by it (as far as we know).

But they made michaela stay in her dorm room. Michaela is Lupi. And tonight Lupi is having a party because of winning the tournament, right? And who doesnt like a party?

So my theory is that some of lupi is going to get infected/corrupted during the party, leading to the big infection "spores" blasting out of people. Especially if michaela is THERE. And especially if anyone eats the food without it being purified in some way beforehand.

And then people will use their spells on them (feeding the corruption much faster) and there will basically be a plague.

Now this is an assumption considering im not sure if most of the people will be able to attend considering twitchcon and might not be able to stream.

Anyways yeah I think we have a plague on our hands and no one has any idea how to fix it. And so far it seems like its killing the riders, or detroying their bond to their dragons, not taking over them.

Guys, guess who just discovered Stargate SG-1.

Okay so we'll talk, I came across Stargate yesterday afternoon and tell my while I'm already on Episode 9 of Season 1... LIKE, WHERE THE FUCK HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! No, I'm sorry but I'm being so serious when I say, the series holds up. Season 1 came out in 1997 and for sci-fi of the time, the graphics are actually amazing! When I tell you I squeeled when the fucking goa'uld parasite came out of that woman's stomach in Episode 1! Aint no way, 1997 graphics should be gorier then 2026. Modern Day Sci-fi you need to step your puss up bitch.

So my parents watched stargate when my big sister was like, 4, and my dad sometimes put her to watch with him (which my mom didnt like but it was fine) and It took them until like, september of 2024 to think of watching it again and I joined in bc they always had high praise and now im stuck here because they already passed on to different shows and im like "okay but can we rewatch stargate from the start". Also we started from stargate atlantis which honestly was really funny imo now that Ive seen both and yeah. Remember to watch atlantis aswell, its great.

With awe in his voice (and a little breathless?) and chat completely crumpled into aww-ing within a second and I think we should bookmark this point because I think tf!legs might be realising "oh no I think I like her" and im sure his freak out of realisation is around the corner and probably running to sausage and grabbing him by the shoulders and going "HELP ME I THINK IM DYING" because his heart was beating way too fast then it usually is when he faints and he thinks hes having a heart attack but no it was just graecie doing something cute.
