Emily nodded when Ian agreed with her assessment that he could go without a tie. She went into the bathroom and did her makeup, pausing to look at Ian when he told her that the car would be there in ten minutes. âOkay, Iâll be ready,â she said before turning her attention back to the mirror so she could finish her makeup. Once she was done, she sprayed on a finishing spray, smiling when Ian told her that she looked beautiful. âThank you, Iâm glad you think I clean up okay without all the stylists and everything. Itâs way less stressful when we can get ourselves ready for these smaller events,â she said. When he asked if he looked alright, she turned to face him and studied his outfit and hair for a moment before reaching up to ruffle his hair a little more. âYeah, you look good. Really good, in fact,â she said before she walked out of the bathroom nonchalantly.
Ian smiled as Emily spoke and he couldnât help but laugh slightly when she ran her hand through his hair to mess it up just a little more. âWell I hope I donât distract you all night long, I know how hard it is for you to resist me,â he said teasingly as he followed her out of the bathroom. âBut seriously baby, you donât need a stylist or makeup to make me think youâre beautiful. I mean, you know that I prefer you in one of my t-shirts. Or naked, that totally works too,â he said with a playful smile on his face as he moved to press a kiss to her cheek. Living in the Hollywood world they did definitely made them always have to focus on how they looked but he was glad that for the night they could be on the back burner for a while. At least that was what he hoped. Ian slipped his wallet in his pocket along with his phone and when he received a text letting him know that the car was there, he smiled. âTheyâre here Em, you ready to go?â he asked. Once she was ready, Ian slipped his hand in hers as they made their way out to the car and once she was settled in, he moved to sit beside her.Â
âYou wonât, I can stay focused when I choose to,â Emily said when Ian told her that he hoped he didnât distract her all night long. She left the bathroom, taking a look at herself in the full-length mirror in their bedroom to make sure everything was just right. âOh, I know I donât need them for you, I donât even think you can tell whether Iâm wearing make-up most of the time. Besides, you probably donât even remember how my hair was for our wedding,â she said, âIf I was styling myself for your eyes only I wouldnât need nearly this much time and I wouldnât be wearing this dress.â She grabbed her clutch, and when he asked if she was ready to go she nodded. âLetâs go,â she said. They went downstairs together, him helping her stay steady despite her high heels, and she locked the door behind them before they got into the car with Jensen and Brianna. âHi friends,â Emily said, giving Jensen and Brianna both a once over. They both looked good, and were a little more dressed up since Jensen was up for an award.
