I have a few ask responses written from Gangle's perspective that I ultimately decided to share, so I thought I'd begin with this one
Lace is so pretty I might actually explode 🥰
I know it’s likely never gonna happen but I wanna see more CraftyCorn
Gangle is so fine in clothing, whether it’s a dress or a tie, she’s just SO fine 😍
Gangle Outfit Stickers
I had these done pre-ep 9 and COMPLETELY forgot to post them here XD
I'm honestly so happy with how Anime Gangle turned out, but at this point all of the Anime outfits are my favorites
Be fr the nail thing was so shipeable 😭
Lace
I’ll probably get jumped for this, but looking back, TADC does feel very abuse apologia at points, especially the latter half of the show and ESPECIALLY episode 9. I’ve dealt with ppl like j*x when I was young, so seeing her get coddled and princess treatment by the narrative despite how abusive she was just felt so yucky to me. The show DESPERATELY wants you to feel sympathy for an abuser and almost undermines or sweeps the damage she’s done under the rug by just going “oh but look how tragic she is!”
The others are also tragic, arguably more tragic than j*x; Gangle had her dreams of being a comic artist crushed and had to work in fast food which led to a suicide attempt, Ragatha lived in an abusive household, Kinger lost his wife and co-worker and Zooble struggles with their body. Yet these guys pretty much never get addressed, get offscreen resolutions or it’s resolved in a matter of seconds cuz the show just doesn’t care about them outside of big emotional beats.
The Gangle and Zooble scene in episode 6 was the CLOSEST the show ever came to actually showcasing the trauma j*x has caused.
Again I don’t wanna sound like I hate the show, I love it and it’s helped me in rough patches and I know writing solo is VERY HARD, but I just have issues with it’s writing choices in the latter half.

My traumatised son who’s done nothing wrong ever 🤍
Idk how I feel about my most popular post being a criticism of TADC 😭
I promise I love TADC!!! I just have a big issue with it's tone, pacing and how it handles certain subjects (especially how it handles abuse i.e almost downplaying Gangle and Ragatha's trauma and sometimes even treating it like a gag compared to J*x getting coddled)
“Lying in the sun”
My idea of this piece is the prototype being taken outside after defeat, seeing sunlight and grass for the first time in decades…The blue butterfly landing on him symbolizes rebirth, freedom, and farewell 😢
The broken past made him the villain of the story, spreading hatred at the world. He can’t turn back, he could only live in the shadow he had reshaped by himself. Now everything is over... In the sunlight, this decaying body blooms with flowers. Ollie, you've done so much—now it's time to rest.
Just making things

Gangle could’ve had a massive crashout and just insulting everyone and it would’ve 100% been earned and valid, her and Ragatha would’ve had the most justified crashouts ever lol
One thing that drives me mad about this show is it kinda just picks and chooses when you should take abuse seriously or not.
When Gangle is being physically abused, made fun of and sexually blackmailed with her drawings and figures, it’s apparently just for shits and giggles while Gangle is left to suffer with only Zooble willing to help her.
When Ragatha opens up about her abusive mother, it cuts to the characters giving blank stares then it’s just brushed aside. When she was thrown into the deep fryer, writhing in pain, it’s supposed to be funny.
Meanwhile J*x talks about the abuse she went through and it’s meant to be taken seriously and be tragic.
Abuse isn’t something that you just play around with and choose when it’s important. Abuse is something SERIOUS that actually ruins people’s lives, so having Gangle and Ragatha’s abuse be downplayed and used as jokes is just extremely fucked up to me, especially since I’ve been in Gangle’s shoes before and relate to her deeply.
How am I supposed to take one characters abuse story seriously if it just points and laughs at another characters abuse story? Do you want me to laugh at their suffering or feel bad for them?
For the record, I don’t find those scenes funny at all. I don’t find any scene of someone being abused funny. What I was trynna say was the tone of some of Gangle and Ragatha’s abuse scenes (especially early on in the show) is very clearly meant to be more comedic while J*x talking about his abusive mother and her pain in general is meant to be serious.
Episode 6 did a good job at showing just how severe Gangle’s trauma is, and it’s one of the few scenes where Gangle’s trauma is actually treated seriously (outside of episode 4 but that was her episode so that’s a given), but having one or two scenes where her abuse is serious and multiple scenes across the show where it’s just for shits and giggles just ain’t it chief. I’ve just always found it annoying how both Gangle and Ragatha (Gangle early show and Ragatha late show) are kinda just treated like punching bags by the narrative at points.
