Last sunday i  took a drive to the UES to visit DIVAbride for no reason in particular i guess other than to just hang out. The Faz was in florida so it was just the two of us and our two favorite girls, London & Reese.

Before we went upstairs I stopped at CVS and bought DB a gift, her first wedding magazines!!! Thinking back to when i got engaged, i went out and bought every single mag on the shelf, every month. It was like an obsession. Wait scratch that it was an obsession!

Even our darling Reese got into the action!

DIVAbride: What are you doing for your Birthday?

Me: Drinking... Sleeping...

DIVAbride: Oh, ok. I wasn't sure if you were going away or something.

Me: I think The Huz wanted to but I'm sure that's all squashed now.

DIVAbride: Well, i made an appointment to go to Pronovias for 11am on the 20th. Then when I went to write it in my calendar I saw that that's your birthday!

Me: Uhhuh...

DIVAbride: i would love you to come, but i TOTALLY understand if you can't.

Me: (while thinking this is totally a set up...) lol

DIVAbride: Seriously!

Me: "and the jerk of the year award goes to...". I kid, I wouldn't miss this for the world.

To think i thought she cared about my actual b'day plans. Obviously i'm delusional.

Every story has a beginning.

On December 24th at 9:28 am I received a text message that I have been waiting years for...

Yup that's right! My bestie, Aisha, will soon be jumping the broom with the long time love her life Mike.

So why the blog?!? Well besides the fact that I'm super excited for her, it dawned on me that as her MOH I should probably find some way to chronicle her adventures as a fiancé and give her some memories to look back on and laugh, cry, deny, and enjoy.

So here on these 'pages' her wedding party and I will just share all the random, and not so random, moments that we have the pleasure of experiencing because... we love her.
