What words can you say about an athlete that completely changed your whole world?
She changed my sports world in the summer of 2019. I saw her for the first time in person in 2020 in Houston and went to any games she played in Texas.
She was beautiful, skilled, a badass, and just overall magnetic. It was just something about her that made me want to be a fan of hers.
I hoped and prayed that I would get to meet her one day and get the autograph/picture.
My dream came true and my life was made on April 12, 2025.
After her game in Houston, I was finally able to be front row at the wall after I’d missed her a few times before at other games. This was my chance!
She started signing jerseys and then it was my turn for her to come towards me. I was so fucking nervous I could barely speak. Her green eyes are so fucking gorgeous and mesmerizing up close.
I told her, “Omg, I love you! Thank you!” as she was signing my jersey. I almost chickened out on asking her for a selfie, but I did it anyways.
I said, “Christen, can we take a selfie?” She said, “Sure!” I fumbled with my phone and told her, “I’m sorry. I’m so nervous!” She said, “No worries.” She took me phone, got ready to take the picture, and asked if I was ready. She snapped it, gave my phone back to me and I told her I loved her again and said thank you!
I was in complete shock and just continued to admire her as she continued to sign autographs and take pictures. That was truly one of the best moments of my life!
I looked at the picture and I couldn’t have asked for a fucking better one. It was so fucking perfect! She looks so fucking beautiful and I am smiling from ear to ear. (If the internet wasn’t so weird, I wish I could post it out of pure joy, but no can do).
That is a moment and memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
It was a joy watching her play and being a fan of hers. I’m going to miss her out on the pitch.
