does anyone have $40 to spare for groceries? I’ve got no food in my house and I’m unemployed 😩 I’d greatly appreciate it!

“MJ straightened his hair because he wanted to be white!”
But what about men like, James Brown (one of MJ’s main idols)? Who famously sung the line “I’M BLACK AND I’M PROUD!"
His hair has been straight throughout pretty much his entire career. But does that mean he hated being black? nah
and what about all these other black male celebs who have had or still have straight hair?
"MJ bleached his skin because he didn’t want to be black!!”
lemme tell you
about this little thing…
called Vitiligo…
“MJ turned into a white person!”
Negative, fam. Just look at these BLACK, Albino women
“every shade we witnessed MJ’s skin transform into is indeed a part of the “Black rainbow” of complexions we come in”.
“When his skin got lighter, he did not magically become a White person. I don’t recall him dyeing his hair blonde, wearing blue contact lenses, or ever denying that Afro-haired, cocoa-skinned boy from Gary, Indiana was him. If he was attempting to erase our collective memory of his Black past by way of skin bleaching and plastic surgery, WHY did he always make sure to put photos and videos of himself as a child on a jumbo sized screen during each Jackson 5 medley he did on tour? Maybe he did that because he wanted us to remember who he still was!”
“MJ’s children are white! not mixed!”
But what about these people:
Like, Kitt Mcdonald (left), Daughter of Earth Kitt (right)? (who was mixed but was still BLACK, meaning that Mcdonald is also mixed with BLACK)
or
Rashida Jones?
Daughter of Quincy Jones
and Peggy Lipton (middle; with Rashida on the right and Kidada Jones on the left)
or Wentworth Miller? (who has a black parent and a white parent btw)
it’s called being “white passing”, fam…and there are a lot of white-passing, mixed race people in the world…
Like Paris Jackson (MJ’s daughter)
perhaps you should get out more :)
OH! and again, with this quote:
“every shade we witnessed MJ’s skin transform into is indeed a part of the “Black rainbow” of complexions we come in”.
Meaning that yes, the skin tones that Kitt, Paris, Wentworth and Rashida all possess are also apart of that “black rainbow” of complexions that we black people come in :)
“MJ got multiple nose jobs because he hated being black!”
Mkay but who among the glamorous people of Hollywood (black celebrities included) HASN’T gotten some type of surgery? And check this out: yes, MJ had a problem with his nose (you can thank years of teasing and bullying from his brothers AND his dad for that; he was a pretty sensitive kid/man you know)
But it had nothing to do with him hating his race. I repeat, it had nothing to do with him hating his race. He didn’t like it so he changed it. That’s it. MJ was never ashamed of his race. Never hated being black. Also he only had like, 3 nose jobs (one of which was because of a broken noseand the other of which was to correct damage from that previous rhinoplasty ).
ALSO, for all you “his nose was so small” folks, lemme tell you about this fancy little thing called contouring
you know, that way of doing makeup that makes a person’s nose appear smaller than it is. Black people do this too you know
With all that being said, I leave you all with this little gem:
“Since when does someone’s dissatisfaction with themselves mean they’re betraying you? If he hurt anyone, he hurt himself and that still doesn’t justify anyone sitting in judgment of him. Especially when, as a culture, we tend to spend the most money for things that make us look less like the way God intended us to look than ANYONE. He was not and is not the only Black performer whose looks changed over time. To make him the target of your criticism and ignore the others makes no sense. That’s just plain hypocritical.”
“I’m a black American, I am proud of my race. I am proud of who I am. I have a lot of pride and dignity”. - Michael Jackson
