Yes, girl! We’re the best! Yeah, true. But that was because of my old record label. They wanted to hold me back and thankfully I got out. Now I have a label of my own with Interscope and I’m working on another, so I’m blessed. I think you have a right to complain, it’s your music.

That’s very true. Of course I am, I released an album last year and toured until May of this year. I’m working on another album and I just signed to have my own label with Interscope records. It’s awesome.

I think a lot of people didn’t even realise how much we won with it being all announced in one go, I don’t think I fully did till we had left the stage, I heard the show and hashtag bughead and that was about it. You’re back in music? I’m awful at keeping tabs. I remeber you being in a mermaid film or something a while back or at least there was one on the poster.

I know, I didn’t know what anybody was nominated for because there was so much happening. But you all deserve it for sure. I am! I released an album last year, and songs here and there even before that. Aquamarine, yeah. I love mermaids. And dinosaurs.

R.I.P. to my sleeping schedule. I spent thirteen hours on set yesterday. I know to seasoned actors, that’s child’s play but..I’m exhausted. Couple this with all the other night shoots we’ve been doing and I’m like that line in The Script’s Breakeven song - I’m still alive but I’m barely breathin’. I used to look forward to the weekends as a chance to go out and explore but my only plans for Saturday and Sunday are to surround myself with junk food and be a human burrito on the couch with my pets and blankets.

Damn. I’ve done some films and when I had late night shoots I honestly felt the same way. I love acting but I much prefer singing, however sometimes I am in the studio late also.

You know how you see something in stores that you’re interested in, but hold off getting it because you don’t need it just yet and you know you’ll probably lose it? Yeah, so I regret not buying those solar eclipse glasses that were everywhere like a month ago because now I can’t find them anywhere. I thought my procrastinating days were over, but here we are, still procrastinating like a boss and soon will be a blind procrastinator because you can’t not look at that awesomeness happening. Excuse my inner nerd coming out, but i’m pretty excited for the solar eclipse Monday.

I advise not to look up without glasses, girl. Please do not go blind. That will not be good whatsoever. I am just saying that is very scary and I hope you get those glasses. I want to look too, but I also have no glasses.

So, it’s started! I’ve officially blacked out all of my social media before the release of my next single, and seeing people’s reactions has been hysterical. It’s good to see the fans so excited, though, they’ve stood by me through so much shit over the past year and they deserve some good news for once. They’ve come up with some pretty interesting theories as to when the announcement is going to come, and it’s probably a good thing that my socials are all blacked out otherwise I’d give in and tell them. But yeah, it’s good to be back.. almost.

I’ve forgotten how much fun cons can be and I’m so glad that I managed to attend this one today. Seeing all the fans and their excitement for everything was truly amazing. Even if we were asked many times to sing and dance… which I’ve forgotten both things to the Captain Swan wedding. Next time I’m going to have to plan ahead. I think Eric loved having the attention from everyone backstage – it was the first time they’d really met him so now he has a whole bunch of new family members to spoil him. That kid can have anyone wrapped around his little fingers in an instant. Gil especially loved meeting him since he played Prince Eric on the show.
