EVALUATION
I didn't really enjoy this project because I don't feel like I'm very good at showing creativity electronically. I much prefer taking my own shoots and setting out my work on paper. However, I have found this project very useful in the way in which I can use Photoshop in the future to improve my images with new tools and shortcuts that I've memorized and learnt naturally. I have ended this project confident on the fact that I have become familiar with the software. In our lectures I struggled keeping up with the pace of things but I soon got more used to it and became more happy with my outcomes, also, because I hadn't used Photoshop many times before I feel like I've achieved a lot more now that I know different keyboard shortcuts and the jobs that a lot of tools do. If we had another assignment that involved a constant usage of Photoshop I would be more confident. One particular part of the image that I struggled with was the downloading of brushes from www.brusheezy.com for CS6. But after more practice I feel happy with using it at any point necessary
I did a lot of research before deciding on my final image ideas so that I could gain inspiration from different artists. I chose to go down the simple route for my final three images which I definitely think is shown on my page. Even though my images are simple I'm very happy with the way they have turned out. I don't believe in over crowding or over working an image just because you know how to use Photoshop really well. I used the tools that I know and trust will show a good outcome. My images definitely look different to the way the looked originally. I think my images and different and unique. I also think that if the project was longer giving us more time to learn other techniques I would have a lot more complex final images, but I stuck with what I knew. The part of Photoshop I enjoy using most is Layers so that I can manipulate parts of the image whilst leaving the other parts of it to it's original look.
As much as I love complex images, I don't think it's crucial that they always must be. A simple image that still looks different from the original one is a better way forward, in my opinion. Digital Image Manipulation was enjoyable in some aspects but it wasn't my ideal project.

Third Final
I took a simple portrait and change the look from a plain image to a more vintage inspired one. I simply found an image on very old writing and opened it over the top of the original image. I chose what layer I wanted to edit and then changed the opacity and fill levels so that the portrait was visible underneath.
Second Final
Once again I opened a new canvas (International Paper). I opened my chosen image and decided to change it to black and white. Next, I used the elliptical marquee tool to choose a small part of the face that I wanted to move. I used some keyboard shortcuts like ‘space bar’ for moving it and ‘shift’ so that the circle stays into it’s perfect shape. After using the elliptical marquee tool to select my chosen area I pressed ‘Ctrl C’ clicked on a new layer and then pressed ‘Ctrl V’ to copy and paste it. This enabled me to move the part of the face to my chosen position. (To make sure the different circles stay the same color as the image click on the background layer before copying and pasting the circles.
First Final
This is my first of my three final images, I have chosen to do something simple, however I think that this is image unique and unusual. I started by getting a new canvas (International Paper). After this I opened by image and used the clone stamp tool. Next I chose the right color of the face that will look an even skin tone when I filled the whole face. I help down the left button on the mouse and held down Alt to select the color then clicked over the eyes, nose mouth and ear.
In my original image, the wall that the model was leaning on was in the image. To improve the overall look of the image I used the same tool and technique as I did with the face to cover the wall with the plants in the rest of the background. I think this was a good idea because it made the image look more mysterious. I made sure that the plants that were being hit by the natural sunlight where higher up than the darker parts of the plants that would be towards the bottom and covering the wall.
Downloading Brushes
Go on to the 'Brusheezy' website and choose a brush. Download the brush file to desktop. Open Photoshop and open up a document, then click the Brush tool, then click the sized brush, then the small arrow and click ‘Load Brushes’, choose the brushes you want and then click OK.
The brushes should now appear in your list and be able to be selected and used. They should also appear the next time you fire up Photoshop
In our lecture today we had to choose to celebrities to manipulate an image to make it look weird and interesting my joining a male's face with a woman's face or the other way round.
In this lecture we were given 3 landscape images of the same scene but one was to the left, one was in the middle and the other one was on the right side of the view. The water had boats and there was houses and buildings on land.
We had to edit out the boats and buildings using tools on photoshop which were; the patch tool and the Lasso tool to remove and fill with the color of the green or sea. My image shows what the 3 images looked like before I edited it on photoshop and after I edited them and they became one flawless landscape image.

You can play around with any tool you like to manipulate any image, I chose to use The Notorious BIG
I chose a portrait image, then I used ALT and dragged another image out of the original one on both left and right. I manipulated 2 of the images leaving the middle portrait untouched.
To get the mirrored faces I selected the Marquee tool and selected roughly half of the face, using the mouse I moved the selected half of the face so it was directly through the middle. Next I pressed Ctrl C and Ctrl V to copy and paste half of the image. Finally I dragged the edge of the image to the opposing half of the face. To make both sides of the face the exact same as one half.
