“I can’t say I’m well acquainted enough with them to have an opinion.” To say that Carson was surprised by her choice of date activities would be an understatement. He was known to plan extravagant dates, but he wasn’t used to having someone do the same for him, especially on the first date. Still, he was excited to see where it would go. “I definitely haven’t. I’ve never even ridden a horse before. I’m a city boy; never had the opportunity.” 

penny giggled at that, finding his choice words funny, “well we’re about to get acquainted” she enthused, “yeah, neither have i” having spent majority of her childhood in a hospital, she hadn’t done a lot of things, like ride a horse, and now she would be riding a horse on the beach. she was over the moon excited for this, reaching the horses, a grin on her face, “i’ll let you pick which horse you want” her eyes flickering from him to the horses, back to the people who had begun explaining what to do on the horses, and upon carson’s decision helped them get on top of the horses.

“thank you for doing this with me” turning to maia, as they waited for the bus, it was five in the morning, and penny was happily munching on some granola, “want some?” she offered with a smile, unable to contain her happiness for what they were about to do, something she had wanted to do since she saw finding nemo, “they say the fish are the busiest in the morning” she sighed happily, “early bird gets the worm and all” letting out a giggle, “poor worm”

Lorelai was very excited for the warmer weather and decided to see if anyone wanted to go do something. Popping her head into the doorway she smiled at the person “Hey, wanna go enjoy this beautiful weather with me? I have no idea what to do. I just know I can’t be inside on a nice day like today” she smiled a big smile hoping the person she was asking said yes or even had ideas of what they can do for fun.

penny had woken up early, had breakfast, and had just finished getting ready, ready to explore ibizia, get some sketches in while she was here. just lacing up her shoes, smiling at the voice at the door, lifting her head, “yeah! i was just on my way out too” she enthused, getting off her bed, “i was going to go see some old ruins” she offered, “take a hike or something?” she shrugged, not completely sure of her own plans, “what sounds fun to you?”

“hey z!!! over here!!!” penny called over zakiyah, excitedly, spotting a familiar face, truth to be told, the place was quite crowded, penny had only come down for a swim, she didn’t expect there to be a whole party at 11 in the morning. “we’re having mimosas!” she greeted once the girl reached her, “the perfect drink for brunch, but no one seems to know where the brunch is” penny giggled with a shrug, this being her second one, unaware that alcohol in the drink, “i haven’t even seen any food trays” also unaware that there was no brunch at this event.

“Whose first thought when talking to a girl for a few seconds is ‘lemme just throw this chick in the water and walk away’,” Jessa huffed, pulling the hair tie out of her hair and attempting to shake her hair somewhat dry. Granted, she’d wanted to go swimming and was dressed to do just that, but that was beside the point. “I need a drink. Do you want a drink? I’m going to get a drink. You can follow if you want.” She knew she didn’t technically need a drink, but if she was going to be forced into socializing all week, she felt like she did. 

typically penny would be far away from the crowd, deep in nature, painting the scenery, visiting museums, seeing all of what ibizia had to hold; however her mom only allowed her to go if she promised to socialize, and so here penny was, at the pool, where no one was swimming. feeling a dripping coming from beside her,  following it to jessa with a smile, glad to see a familiar face, “sure” penny agreed, following her through the crowd, “sorry you got wet” she added after a moment, “guys are jerks”

okay so her last first date, didn’t go so well, actually she got stood up, so to say, she was high on nerves for her date with carson, her date with carson in a foreign country. the date was fairly simple, she had seen it in a movie, horseback riding and a picnic on the beach. penny felt an empowerment in planning a date, taking control, she had been so wrapped up in others wants, she forgot her own. “i hope you like horses” she spoke after some time of them walking down the beach, a giant smile on her face, as the horses came into view, “tell me you haven’t done this before?” she questioned, hoping he hadn’t.

He was ready to fall back to sleep and ignore whatever the girl said to him until she finally said it. That definitely wasn’t something he expected to be asked and he suddenly felt bad about his response. He got up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. “Uh, yeah, sure.” He mumbled. For a second he wondered if maybe she just said it to wake him up, but he wasn’t going to say no either way. “Now? Or do I have time to not look like I spent the whole night watching the mini series instead of reading the book for my english class?”

penny blinked at his agreeal to her proposal, instantly surprised he had even said yes, a blushed rose to her cheeks, as she stared at him a little bewildered, for she didn’t prepare what to do next, let alone if he had said yes. “time” she nodded vigorously, unable to form a sentence, “all the time” she smiled, still nodding, “or like an hour?” she questioned, “yeah, okay, i’ll let you know”

“I just said I don’t have time to explain,” she reiterated in her paniced manor as she walked quickly towards the Elizabeth house where Mackenzie’s room was. “What?” the older girl questioned at penelope’s theory’s, though she quickly shook her head hoping to put an end to the other’s wild thinking. “No, they didn’t take Kenna!” Stopping in her tracks she took a deep breath trying to explain the situation to her cousin as calmly as possible . “I was taking cosmo for a walk and this guy stopped me to talk to me, and i didn’t notice that he was peeing on the kids shoes until it was too late. He was pissed and then started going off about how we’re not supposed to have dogs at school anyways, so I offered to pay for his shoes so he wouldn’t tell anybody about Cosmo, but I only have thirty dollars on me, and if you don’t want Declan to literally murder me I need eighty more dollars by like yesterday!”

her face still showing concern at kenzie’s urgency, and panicked demeanor, only fueling her previous theory that someone had in fact taken kenna. a sigh of relief escaped her lips at her older cousin’s words of reassurance, feeling immensely calmer about the whole ordeal, listening intently to what actually happened. “he can’t just wash the shoes?” penny questioned, pulling her bag around so she could search through it, “i don’t know if i have 80, i might have 20″ trying her best to help, “what if you buy him new shoes and have them delivered?” fishing out a thirty herself, “i found a ten!”

“I don’t know if I can do weekly, how about every other week?” Mackenna countered with a laugh. even though it was fun it was a lot of work and she didn’t know if she could keep up with this every single week, even if she may have wanted to. “Kenzie loves to show herself off so I doubt she’ll say no to that,” She wasn’t sure why she hadn’t invited kenzie in the first place, but it was nice to get some time to hang out with Penelope one on one. “Pasta is the best food on the planet. Whoever invented it should have a Nobel peace prize or like a star on the walk of fame or something,” she put her hands over her stomach which rumbled at just the mention of food. “okay, we better go quick before my body thinks i’m trying to starve it to death,” the sophomore laughed. “Think kenzie will let us take her car?”

“okay, every other week, we’ll call it cousin day” family was very important to penny, and not being able to be near her intermediate family, it was so nice to have other family close by, she loved spending time with her them, and would’ve settled for once a month. “she can come to the next one! we’ll do something she likes, and take turns” she enthused cheerily,  “pasta and baby animals are the answers to world peace, thanks for coming to my ted talk” she joked with a small laugh, “if we ask nicely and use the best puppy dog eyes, maybe” even though she knew with their best attempts, kenzie would probably say no, she loved that car. “if we promise to bring her dessert, she might”

“i’ve come to learn, everything taste better when cheese is added” penny offered in advice, “cold fries, add cheese and thirty seconds in a microwave, bam! cheese fries” she exclaimed with a giggle, “now if only the fry purse came with a heater to keep them warm, cheese fries on the go!”

“It absolutely is. Plus it’s not like it’s some kind of life or death situation so you don’t have to feel guilty, honestly,” lux reassured her friend. “I have to admit I’m sort of on your moms side, if this dude stood you up there’s no way that he’s worth your time. There’s no excuse for standing someone up.” Looking at Penny she would sigh a bit, “you don’t have to be a doormat. See when you let people walk all over you they think it’s ok to treat you like shit because if they apologize you’ll just forgive them even if they don’t deserve it. But fuck them. Be happy!”

“i mean i’ll try” which was the probably the best the young teen could do, not ever having kept anything from her mother, but this is the freedom she craved, she would just have to suck it up. “he’s a busy guy” she shrugged softly, averting her gaze to her hands, which were fiddling with each other. being stood up hurt, him coming up to her and explaining hurt worse, “he did it for love, i can’t be mad for acts of passion in the name of love” she continued with a sad sigh, “if i avoid him, it’s kind of the same thing right?” she questioned, before putting a big smile, despite her lowered mood of their previous conversation “don’t worry be happy!”

“kill em with kindness” penny exclaimed, before shortly singing the song’s chorus, another giggle escaping her lips, “yes let’s” she nodded, still whistling the song from before, following her lead to the ice cream place, “what’s your favorite flavor?”

Katya knew without a doubt that Penny wouldn’t lie to her she was just shy about her voice in general. “I will hold you to that, I’m even going to look out for you” she teased her. Thankful that she had Penelope to calm her down she sighed with relief. “Astronomy would definitely be fun, I mean anyone that doesn’t like it is weird to me” she joked as she packed her stuff up. “I mean we might as well, there’s so many idiots out there having sex and god forbid they procreate” she laughed while joking. “I mean I’m sure we’ll piss teachers off for sure”

“i will have the biggest sign and the biggest bouquet of flowers” penny enthused happily, more than happy to support her friend, putting any reservations she had about going aside, “are you parents coming?” she questioned with a smile, curious to if she’d have more than her out there. “a class where you can look up at the stars, now that’s what school should be all about” she added with a chuckle. penny wasn’t sure if katya was kidding or not, but having a mother who was an activist, rubbed off on penny, so naturallys he was done for the cause, “we should start a club, get the nurse to donate condoms, and shock the student body with unsafe sex practices” she concluded with a nod, a smile finding it’s way to her face, “are you serious?”

the dare was completely out of her comfort zone, but afraid the gossip blog would expose her past, she mustered up the courage, by having multiple dance parties and a single break down, before she finally left her dorm. unaware of the time, for she hadn’t slept since she received the dare, roaming the grounds in search of carson, finding him asleep in one of the lounge areas, hesitating to wake him, “do it” she muttered to herself before gently waking him, “carson” she softly sang, her eyes widening at his response to be woken up, unsure fo what to say, the words kind of just fell out, “will you go on a date with me?”

“they always say it with a smile, so i assume it’s a compliment” but she hadn’t actually thought about it much, “oh, i will work for sprinkles” she giggled.
