Saying Wesley is one of your favourite buffyverse characters to people who have only watched Buffy is so funny because they’re like

“really? THIS guy?? This BUFFOON?? This absolute LOSER???”

But they don’t even KNOW.

We didn't get to see much of Wesley and Fred dating (I think they literally had a day together before Fred died, because Joss Whedon hates us), but I imagine they kind of would be like Evan and Katelyn from YouTube, and that's just adorable.

For those who don't know, Evan and Katelyn are this married couple, who have a YouTube channel together. And they're both total geniuses--who are science adjacent--and always making and doing the coolest things. Like, they're the first people to ever do a full underwater livestream. And after they did that, they then did an underwater basket weaving stream (because of that old joke/phrase about if you take a class in college that people deem as useless, or major in something that people deem in useless, it might as well be "underwater basket weaving"). LOL. But they do all kinds of fun and crazy things... like making laptops out of various objects: concrete, velvet, cardboard... a mood ring controller, a furby robot... gorgeous art. I could go on and on, really. They're both great, nerdy, and engaging people by themselves (and funny), super together (and make me actually believe in love and soulmates in this world), and have great videos with the best editing (with fun ads you actually don't want to skip!), and yeah: I could definitely see Wesley and Fred having been like this, and doing all kinds of science experiments together. LOL

I have absolutely nothing to base this on, but there's something about Wesley that makes me headcanon his birthday as March 15th. Something about him that just screams, "I have been cursed/foretold since before my birth".

I am eternally amused that, in season four when the geniuses bring Angelus back? This Scourge of Europe spends a lot of time, on like four different occasions, talking about how hot Wesley is.
