Has it really been six months?!

Hmmm. Happy New Year! XD

Hello hello! I’m sorry I vanished after my laptop- well- perished in September!

I took up more hours at work so I could afford to buy another one. Mobile tumblr drives me into something of a rage so I didn’t dare sign on that way.

In November I lost a family member, that had been a shock and I lost all motivation to do much of anything.

December was the start of a new job and I spent the majority of that in intense training.

I suffered the loss of another dear family member in January which set me back to the same mind space I was in during November.

When I returned to work as a now fully trained employee, my shifts did and still can stretch to fourteen hours if it’s needed of me and for the past month or so, it has indeed been needed of me.

Then I forgot my password for this blog---

It’s been a drama guys and dolls. I am not yet in any position in timing or resources to be able to come back onto this blog anytime soon. But I am planning on coming back at some point!!!

If you have the patience to wait, super!! If you don’t, I totally understand! Thank you for the play, your support, mini likes, tags and messages they really brightened me up when I logged on this evening <3 I do miss you all and hopefully, I’ll be back to see you soon!

My laptop appears to have died... Which is horrifically unfortunate timing for me. I plan to go and see if it can be saved tomorrow, fingers crossed that it's just a faulty battery and nothing too severe. Needless to say, my activity on here is about to drop again.

It’s that time again where I have to do the sleep thing. Thank you for your interactions and those that have replied already tonight, I have them saved in the drafts. I’m in work at crazy hours over the next three days so I am not sure when I’ll be online, but I’ll get through replies as and when I can.

Your opinion on the shape of Oogway's head

“It is kind of strangely shaped I suppose.”

“But there was a lot of wisdom in his head and kindness in his heart, even when it was guarded by the amour of a shell.”

I thought it was well done XD Certainly fairly easy to draw! It does have that perfect ‘old man’ look to it though, I don’t know about anyone else but elderly people often look like turtles to me, balding, large eyes, that gummy lip thing (see above). They got it right in my opinion.

Kung Fu? Like the stuff Rafiki did when he back-handed that hyena in the face?

If Timon knew that, he’d be able to protect himself from hyenas.  

“Of coarse I wanna learn Hyena smack down!”

“I’ve been meaning to get Rafiki to teach me for months.”   Timon was now Shifu’s honorary student in learning the ways of Kung Fu Omniscient Monkey.

“Hyena smack-?” He eyed him over again and blinked at the name, Rafiki. Though he thought he understood the situation. He had never encountered hyenas before, but they seemed like they were giving the meerkat a hard time.

“You wish to learn so you can defend yourself?” He checked before he began to half circle him, trying to spot strengths and weaknesses. Mantis was the smallest student he had ever trained, but he was a deadly warrior despite his size.

He paused in front of him, hands neatly tucked behind his back. “Jump as high as you can.” No introductions yet apparently, he was still assessing him.

Seemed simple enough, 

“You got it boss.” Timon wasn’t going to question all these ancient Chinese secrets just yet. 

He jumped. Taking his body off the ground for about 1 full second with his best efforts to bend his legs in the air.

When he jumped, Shifu looked about as impressed as he usually did when he encountered a new potential student.

“High attacks will not do you any favours.” He warned truthfully, but he did soften a little, something of a knowing look crossing his face. “But that only means that your opponents will underestimate you, and your strength will come from your own height.” Whether that made sense to Timon, he did not yet know, but he had ways of explaining it if need be.

“I am Master Shifu. And I will train you in Kung Fu.” It was something of a vow, but if Timon did not present him with a name, he may be called ‘Meerkat’ for a long while.

He waved the promise of repayment off, “There is no need to repay me, it’s my duty and that of those I train, to help those that need it and recover items from bandits.” They didn’t have use for money really, food was always a good option, though the Palace had its own wealth to hand out to the villagers that gave them food.

He let her decide what she wanted and gave his own smile to himself for her opting for the basket, it did seem that she was not at all accustomed to walking on her hind legs, but then again, there had been a few to have used that to their advantage in the past.

At her excitement though, he did half jump, surprised by her exclamation, eyes widening at the gold in her hooves. That was more than enough to buy his entire cart of fruit, so Shifu watched as the rabbit seemed to blink at her offering and waver on the spot for a moment before accepting just one gold bit. “You can come back any time.” The rabbit encouraged, which of course earned another smile from Shifu.

“No need to explain.” He waved away again, he quite understood himself. “It seems as if you may not need too much of my help after all.” He chuckled, “Though we will get your belongings back for you so you can purchase your paint for your painting.” Gold wasn’t rare in the Valley, though it was mainly in the Palace, she was richer than she realized, perhaps.

Shifu went to pick up the basket for her. “If you come with me, I’ll show you to the Jade Palace and Mantis and Crane can see what they can do for your wing. Though, I must warn you that there are a lot of stairs.” He didn’t think it often that someone with wings would likely go through the strain of stairs often, Crane certainly didn’t when he could avoid it.

Gahri- “Well I would like to not to be knocked over the head. Neither would Fung. Right?”

Fung- The leader shrugged. He was right though he was still upset by the thought of being janitors. How could their be any honor in being a janitor? Who needed patience of anything like that when he just wanted fame and fortune?

“I mean … gawwh okay. It sounds okay especially if we get paid and don’t get swords pointed at us.”

Gahri- The crocodile looked back and smiled. “And for vioence, I think we know enough from previous experience working with you. And it’s Gahri.” The crocodile smiled cheekily.

“If anything, I’d rather create my own screenplay. Fung’s been helping me too.”

Fung- “I try and admittedly he’s kinda good at that. But how does that relate to any of the stuff we were talking about before?”

Gahri- “It doesn’t just felt Master Shifu would like to know?”

Shifu nodded at the idea of them not being hit in the head, he quite agreed that it was reason enough to avoid confrontation.

He smiled at Gahri and gave an apologetic bow “Sorry about that.” He was too, maybe it was old age. “But even working for me before, you seemed to have enjoyed and proven yourself to have been true heroes.” A pause while he thought, “Until you focused only on money and not on respect.”

He smiled at the thought of a screenplay and the master was quite interested in the idea. He chuckled at Fung’s comment. “I would be delighted to see it if you ever found time to complete it.” He had not considered them artists before, but he imagined they hadn’t considered him a former con-artist (be it assistant) either.

“Janitorial work will teach you a great deal about this place and how it runs, those that work here are trusted through and through with information, in time, you will find yourself as such too.”

“Your screenplay is a passion, Gahri and in the meantime, I would love to hear all about it and what it’s about.”

He had not forgotten their blisters though, “Are your hands and feet paining you?” He would dismiss them to sort them out before dinner if need be.

Shifu drew in another settling breath, trying his best to keep his calm as his master had taught him as she added that last statement.

“You are not a local of the village, nor have I ever seen you within these parts before. Please don’t misunderstand my intentions it is simply my duty and that of my students to protect the locals as best we can, Miss-?” He encouraged for at least her name.

“Emma. Dat’s all ya need t’ know.” Her tone is still sharp, although she still didn’t want to disclose that information.

“M’ from anotha’ country, far away from ‘ere. Dat’s why ya haven’ seen me before.” Emma wasn’t going to tell where she came from, but she did want to tell why she was here, but she couldn’t, so she remained quiet, other than what she had said already. “Now, please leave me alone.”

Shifu slowly tucked his hands into his sleeves, though she may not have been around the area, it was something of a display that he was not looking to do her harm.

“You have traveled far- to escape danger?” Shifu had something of a soft spot for those that had been forced from their home because of bandits or otherwise. And he did soften significantly there, even though he had made an assumption of her reasons for being there, he was as of yet, none the wiser. 

He did take half a step back, showing he was willing to allow her to wonder through the village just shortly, though he was planning on having one of the Five keeping an eye on her for at least the first day.

I’m wrapped in four blankets with two kittens and a big dog and I am still cold... it only just turned September, Wales! Calm the feck down!  It’s still technically summer.

It was a sensitive topic, he knew that for a fact, likely on both sides of the attack too, but still he pushed a little more, “Does the anger come from regret?” He probed though the old master did have enough wit about him to approach it in a gentle tone. There was a lot of regret to be had in killing defenseless innocents.

“Everything i done, it was for Shen! EVERYTHING! LAST! THING!” Zang said angrily and standing up. “I risked my life For him! Hurt/or killed for Him. I even starved for him! And how dose he repay me? Buy stabbing me in my chest and destroying my pack! It was NOT regret.”

Shifu watched as the other stood up and was careful to take a leaf from his master’s book and remained as calm as he could despite the other’s upset.

“The betrayal of someone you love and adore, is devastating.” And perhaps, since Zang knew of Tai Lung, he understood that Shifu wasn’t entirely oblivious to what he might be going through. “But if you let it linger and haunt you, you will never find peace.”

Big cat cubs seemed to have frequently found their way to the Jade Palace, one way or another. However, he wasn’t in the Valley of Peace anymore. Traveling to new places in the world, like his master did before him was part of his spiritual development, his travels had him wondering into the hot Savannah to meet the beings that lived there and learn from them.

Of course, he was not at all expecting to come across the territory of royalty, so when he did, he was cautious but respectful and had chosen to ask permission to stay for a while within the territory. This meant that he found himself at Pride Rock, carefully admiring the rock as he waited for an audience- with anyone.

there are days where you just can’t write properly. you have the muse and motivation, but the words won’t come out the way you want them to, and that’s OKAY. it happens with every writer, every roleplayer. you do not have to feel bad for having off writing days. if you don’t want to work on replies but work on your blog, it’s fine. don’t worry about it. everyone gets these days, and it’s okay.
