Traditional Amulet Against Human-Caused Harm
Each character represents a word from an orison or a pattern in a talisman condensed to 21 — the number of days in a week, multiplied by the trinity in many spiritualities: Father, Son, Spirit… Clotho, Lachesis, Atropos… Zeus, Poseidon, Hades… even the Triple Goddess.
Correct methods of using this amulet include:
Writing it on your left inner arm every morning before leaving the house, using leaf ink you made yourself
Having a blood elder with the same faith as you hand-tap tattoo it on your back permanently
Writing it on parchment with pencil and having it next to your skin in moments when you are susceptible to danger
I know of someone who had a tattoo artist place it on her. It did not work, of course. Because the characters meant nothing to the one engraving them.
But done correctly and with faith, this amulet will protect you against any pain birthed by malice. Which means it will keep assault and aggression at bay, but will not send diseases nor storms away.
