Long awaited THINX review!
I’ve heard so much about the Thinx period panties that I just had to try them for myself and give you guys a review. Basically, they are panties that replace pantyliners. They aren’t really designed to replace tampons, pads, or menstrual cups. However, you do what you want. Only you know your period the best.
They arrived about a week after I placed my order. Pretty fast.
This is what it looks like when you first take it out:
(with flash, so you can see better)
I chose the hiphuggers in size Small. There is a size chart on the website. I would say that they are pretty true to size. A small was perfect for me!
They are also silky smooth and very comfortable. Felt just like a regular pair of sexy black panties to be honest.
Now, my period typically only lasts 3 days and then a day of spotting. So I thought, might as well try it by itself (no tampons, pads, or menstrual cups) since my period is usually pretty light on the first day. I noticed spotting on Saturday night, so I put my hiphuggers on and went to bed. Woke up feeling good, no leaking!!! I usually wear pads at night and tampons in the morning. It felt awesome being able to just wear the panties to sleep.
Went throughout the day with just my Thinx on and no leaking whatsoever! I do however notice the dampness, but it is nothing like wear a pad. Just a little bit of dampness as if you are spotting. Pretty good.
The second night, I didn’t have any Thinx to wear since I only had one pair. It was definitely a different feeling wearing a pad vs. just the panties to bed. Definitely prefer the Thinx. Since I only had one pair of panties, I didn’t get to wear them again til the third day of the period (after they had been washed).
The third day I wore my tampon with my Thinx and no leaks! It is seriously so great not having to worry about leaks and pantyliners.
Definitely need more pairs so I can have 1 every day of my period. They are a little pricey, as to why I only got 1 pair to test out first. After testing it out, I do think that it is worth it. No more worries about leaking and no need to buy more pantyliners.
If you use this link, you and I can both get $10 off a pair of THINX! How awesome is that? Also, for every pair you buy, it helps a woman in Uganda.
Let me know if you have any questions!
