Should I make a come back?
(blindeddevil:)
itstimetheworldknewhername
He jumped effortlessly across the buildings, embracing the darkness the night brought. Nights like this where heâs silent are the nights where he was hunting for a specific target. And not a target where he could simply find and kick his ass. Matt needed to be smart and not reckless if he didnât want this to go to shit. And for that heâd need some help.
He has heard about her, and apparently she was clean. Honest. Something that lacked around here if he was honest. He found her office and entered through the open window. Matt waited until he heard footsteps and a calm heartbeat.
âPardon the intrusion, miss, but I had the hope you could help me with something.â
Jessica had a hell of a day, this job was going to kill her soon or later. But she wasnât good in many things, and she had to pay the bills. She had been investigating drug dealers in the area. Her current employer suspected her under age son was involved on it, and the former hero learnt that thing were even worst than she had imagined. She was looking at the pictures she took earlier that day as she smoked her cigarette, she could put some people into jail if she had taken them to the authorities, maybe this was the right thing to do, but she was still not sure. On this field of work, every step must be taken extra carefully, you have enemies in each corner and you never know. She was distracted and not paying much attention to her surroundings, thatâs when she saw a red figure getting inside of her office, not from the door, but by the window.
â Fuck! You scared the shit out of me.â
The private investigator was still standing and her fist was still in the air, like if she was going to start a fight. She felt out of her, and took a moment to recompose herself.
âI should be used to have you masked guys getting in like this, but I never know what kind of shit to expect. Daredevil, right? â
(agentofspyral:)
âIâll hold you to thatâŚâ
[Dick responded as he stepped in, he could smell the smoke in the room, but didnât want to make note of it especially to her as it would have been seen as rude. Â He looked around her office, taking every detail. Â The young man heard from Jessica that she was a Private Investigator, something that Dick could sort of identify with as Nightwing.]
âHopefully your day wasnât as long as mineâŚ.made any interesting discoveries?â
âYeah; big news: Life. Sucks.âÂ
She attested sarcastically with a drag of her cigarette. She couldnât help but notice how his eyes mapped out the room, she had learnt that it was best to suspect everyone, although she would like to think that he was just paying her a visit.
â Why have you got any work to me?â

âI canât say I remember anything about teaming up with him, but from what Iâve heard itâs not boring. Heâs good at what he does no matter what the paper says about it.â
âNo offence intended here, man. Plus,Iâm not saying this based on what the news say. Iâve worked with Jameson once and the guy is a dick. I just... well never mind... I wasnât really implying anything.â
Iâm so mad at you and you do this now. Would you like to go out on a date? A fancy date? Yes. A fancy date. Better be damn fancy. You got a lot riding on it.

[Agent 37 had a relatively quiet day, most of it was spent reading files about a potential terrorist attack by Hydra and piecing each thread of evidence  together so that he could foil their plans before any innocent lives are lost.  After hours of exhaustive research, Dick went over to the office of Jessica, a superpowered vigilante heâd met a few days ago and exchanged contact information with.  He knocked on the office door.]
âHey Jess, itâs me, Loren, mind if I come in, Iâve had a busy day and need someone to talk to who is not from London.â Â
The former dragged her cigarette, eyes closed, one more time before she was interrupted by the sound of the door. She slowly opened her eyes, not believing that she would have to take to one more client before going home. She dragged herself out of the chair and slowly walked towards the door. However, once she opened it she smiled, happy to see that it wasnât a client, but a âfriendâ, although they barely knew each other.
âHey, Loren. Please come in. I promise no one will talk with a potato on their mouths in this officeâ
She joked stepping away so he could come in.

âIf youâre going to challenge someone for a title they you go for the best or in this case the lamest. Spider-man will tell lame jokes to pretty much anyone at any time.â
âGee, the guys sounds boring. I would not stand teaming up with him.â

It was a quite long day at the office. She had an interview with three possible clients, but she didnât believe any of them would really have money to pay her. She had to stop by the the police station, she waited for half an hour for Sgt. Brett Mahoney, and once he was finally in, he could only be with her for a couple of minutes before leaving the station again. The next five hours she was out, following a guy whose spouse was sure he was banging the secretary. Little did she know he was not fucking the secretary, but also her sister.Â
By the end of the day she went back to the office and gave the pictures to the wife, who payed Jessica and left the place crying. What a hell of a day. Thanks God it was finally over. She lit up a cigarette. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, enjoying the nicotine going over her lungs.
âFuck... that sucked.â

Send me a number and Iâll open my icon folder and write up a starter with that icon.
Jessica sure loves her leather jacket.
That old picture we are ashamed of.

âHe is a great dog.â- Clint smiled at Lucky and Jess -Â âTrue but s far you seem nice and you havenât slap me which is great.â
âWell...hm... thank you, I guess. Youâre really nice. Totally wrong, but still very nice.â

strictlyabowandarrows:
âI thought that but I seem to be doing okay. Yeah you need to water them much.Your not the bad Jessâ
âYeah, look at this big boy. He is a nice dog!â - she smiled petting him -Â âYou barely know me Barton, you have no idea how bad I am.â

Well, I can tell you that Iâm not a friend of Malcolm,   cause I donât know who that is.    So thatâs one thing marked off that list!â
She gave a bright grin, though it faltered quickly and Gwen was left with a crooked smile on her features. Now what? If her dad was worried about all the Private Investigatorâs in town, surely he could have sent an officer to investigate. Though that would have been suspicious, it was the proper thing for him to do. Sending Gwen around to look at a few of them meant he suspected more than just some white collar crimes being involved. It meant supernatural stuff. Spooky~ âŚOh, wait, she really should be giving this woman a bit of information about why she was there.
âAh, itâs about my Dad. Heâs the one that may need to hire you,    but heâs got a lot of pride and likes things done properly.  He wonât hire just anyone.   I can give you a little more details in a bit, itâs really just someone at     his company that he suspects is stealing and such.â
So far, so good, right? Hopefully Gwen was making sense.
âI think he needs help, because heâs jumped to conclusion before,            itâs just before getting him to hire someone Iâd like to investigate the  investigator so to speak! Yâknow, work out what a plan of action could be.â
Was she babbling? Yeah. She was probably babbling.
The former hero breathe out slowly in relieved. She was still suspicious about someone so young girl showing up at her front door, but at least Malcon wasnât spreading the word around anymore. That was good enough.Â
She took a closer look at the girl. Her clothes, her hair. She didnât look particularly wealthy, but maybe she was wrong. There was no way she could tell for sure until they talked properly.
âOkay, standing at my door is no place to discuss business. Just come in already.â
She waited for the girl to come inside and offered her a chair in front of her desk. She sat down on her on chair and stared at her twisting her mouth. Processing what she had just told her. This would not be the first time she would have to prove her value before being hired. The thing is; apparently her father could just decide to not hire her. Maybe he didnât even know she was being hired. This could be all just a teenage worried about her daddy and in the end she would just waste her time.
âLook, you seem like a nice girl, but I need to pay my bills, yâknow? Maybe if your father shows up or something...â
