"Good morning" He'd put his finger to his lips in a 'be quiet we're not alone' gesture. "Alot's going on outside..."
Hana woke up with a start, she didn't know where she was, but it wasn't her normal wake-up procedure. Hearing a male voice her hands flew up to her head. She didn't have her hijab, and that was bad but she had to figure out where she was and why she didn't remember.
@nocturnalmuses
It was yet another school year, Hana's third year at college with many more to go. Of course she wasn't getting a simple four year degree, she was aiming for the stars, or should she say swinging for the stars. Before she could do anything she was pulled in by one of the admin's of Metro College to be asked if she'd mind giving a new transfer student a tour and info about the college, to which she happily agreed.
Dressed in a simple outfit of a pair of Converse, jeans, a black t-shirt covered by her ever present green army jacket, and of course her hijab which she had in black today, she stood by the front office area waiting for him, eventually seeing him walk up. "Hey, I'm assuming you're Hiro. I'm Hana, I was asked if I could give you the tour of the place." She greeted warmly, her voice having a slight accent of Iraqi mixed with New York.
Coming halfway across the world could always be a scary thing. But at least he wasn't alone at the moment. Looking at the stranger, Hiroyuki would then nod his head. "Hai." He'd say in Japanese before he would pause. "Nice to meet you Hana." Hiro would say in English. "You are the one to show me around?" He asked curiously.
"Yep I'll be showing you around campus. There's not too too much, so it shouldn't be too long." She gave him another smile, it was something that she was known for and one of the reasons that she did well on the Cheer team.
"Before we get started is there anything you'd like to ask me? I'm a treasure trove of information, both about the school and about all the best spots around here, and we're only a stone's throw away from NYC. In fact I stay in Staten Island, it's only about 30 minutes away." She told him.
"Stanten Island. I've never been." He admitted. "I've heard of it but I have only ever been on the western coast of this country." He explained. "I'm curious about this school. I heard very little of it but my stablehouse master recommended it since it was the one he came to. Anything I should know?."
"It's alright, I'm more of a Manhattan girl but that's too far of a commute for me to make." She chuckled. At his comment about not hearing much about the school she nodded her head in agreement. Sure they weren't the most popular university but she enjoyed it all the same. "Well one thing that you should know is that the school is very welcoming, and that's coming from the Muslim girl. We also have one of the best and diverse sports programs in both New York and New Jersey." she told him as she started to lead him outside of the admin building into the quad that was considered the social center of the campus.
"I figured it was. Especially when I heard there was an actual program for sumo. A rare thing to see outside of Japan." He mused. "I'm just glad that there was such a program. Make me join this school frankly. I wouldn't have come otherwise." Hiroyuki would say as he'd then ask. "I figured you were based on your...what do they call it...sorry, I'm not too familiar with your hat?" Curse the language barrier. "Gomen'nasai." He'd say. "Hat is not the word..." it was on the tip of his tongue.
Hana listened as he explained why he had come to Metro College and nodded in agreement. She had some a few competitions cheering for her school's sumo wrestlers. At his comment about her hijab made her smile before letting out a genuine laugh. She'd never heard it called a hat before. She wasn't offended at all. "You mean my hijab." She corrected politely. "I understand language barriers I was born in Manhattan but English wasn't my first language, it was actually Arabic." She told him. "I can assume you're from Japan?" She inquired.
"Oh yes! That's what I meant!' He'd say with a nod before Hiro would then add. "Yes, I'm curious of it. You wear it for a reason yes? Part of the culture I think?" He'd ask curiously.
"I am. I grew up there. Been out of it only a couple of times when I was growing up." He explained. "Mostly to the west United States."
"It's something like that. It's more for religious purposes. It's a choice that women in the Islam religion should make on their own on if they want to wear it or not. It's worn for our modesty." She explained.
She listened to him explain where he came from and where he'd been. "That's really interesting, I'd love to go to Japan some day." She admitted before stopping when they were in the middle of the Quad.
"So this is known as the Quad, it's where everyone meets with everyone and you can get anywhere on campus from here." She spoke, gesturing to the area. It was a relatively nice and relaxing area with trees and places for people to chill out.
"Oh I see." He mused quietly as he would walk alongside her. How curious. For modesty. First he'd ever heard of that. "That's interesting." He stated. "Do you wear it all the time?" He asked.
"Oh! You should go! If you do, let me know and I'll show you all the good places to go!" He'd say with a bright grin.
As he'd look around, Hiro would then add. "Oh wow. It looks quite nice here." He'd say. "Do you come here often?" He'd ask.
"I don't wear it all the time, if there are only women I'm in the presence of, or I'm alone I don't have to wear it." She told him with a smile, happy to explain and fine that he was asking the questions.
She had to think about the question for a second before looking at him to answer. "I come here when I can, I'm usually very busy." She wasn't gonna admit that most of her free time not working or at school was spent swinging through the city as a hero.
Send "Good morning" to wake up next to my muse and see their reaction.
This meme doesn't have to be sexual! Muses could be trapped somewhere, waking from a traumatic experience, bloodloss, fainting, etc.. But the point is, both muses are lying next to one another, and one is/was watching the other.
What role would your character play in the story? Are they a major player, or a one scene wonder? (gamma-born from the if your OC was canon ask)
Hana would probably be a secondary character, neither a main player or a one scene wonder. Her personality definitely isn't one for the spotlight and she rolls with the flow. I could also just see her as being a background character.
I thought Muslims couldn't wear makeup?
There's nothing saying Muslim women can't wear makeup. There's also nothing saying I can't be an alt girlie, which I also get a lot of questions on
Girl, you hot, didn't know you were actually Muslim either
Thank you
Alright guys I'm gonna do something that I've never done before, post a pic of myself
What are some places Hana would like to go to?
Hana would love to go to quite a few places. She'd love to go and visit Iraq since that's where her family is from. She'd also like to go to Australia, and Japan along with the UAE
I kinda want to bring back my Jane Volturi RP blog, should I?
How tall is Hana?
Hana stands at 5'2"
