Why was the heart created?

‎قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله

Shaykh al-Islām ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:

‎القلبُ إنما خُلق لأجل حُبِّ الله تعالى

The heart is only created to love Allāh.

How naive to think that love from the creation will always last. The only true and forever lasting love comes from our Creator. He loves us at our worst and saved us from the depths of misery more times than we deserved. That’s the love of our Raab. We go to Him walking, He comes to us running.
